Golden Days River Cottage - Family & pet friendly, river view, water access
Welcome to our "Rivah" cottage! Our adorable cottage with 2 bedrooms (1 King , 1 Queen) and separate studio/office building with 1 twin bunk and 1 queen bed (available to book with 3 or more guests for extra fee); studio includes a dedicated desk and view of the tidal pond.
1 Full bathroom in main cottage with large walk-in shower.
Outdoor shower. Fenced yard. Wifi. Noise makers. Memory foam mattress pads. Well stocked kitchen. Fire pit. Room darkening curtains. We have been waiting to find a perfect peaceful river getaway for our family, we were lucky to find this gem & we want to share it with you! Morattico is the sweetest little village filled with friendly neighbors & an amazing waterfront museum. Walk across the street to our shared river porch, fish in the Rappahannock River or walk down the road to a shared beach and pier access where you can kayak and swim in Lancaster Creek.
If you want to get away from it all and relax near the water, this is the place!

Hand wash any used dishes. Dish drainer is located in lower cabinet to the left of the sink.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

I live with my family in central Virginia where I own a wedding & event flower business. I love hiking, traveling, eating & hanging out with family, playing volleyball and snuggling with my Golden Retrievers!
Why they chose this property
We discovered this quaint cottage and were so happy we were able to purchase it, not only because we love the house, but also because the village is so sweet as well. It is a very quiet historic waterfront village with beautiful old homes, the neighbors are great, and there is a fabulous waterfront museum. Don't miss the $1 ice cream in the freezer at the pavilion - bring cash or get the Venmo details inside the museum!
What makes this property unique
We have tried to think of everything! We have tons of towels, body wash/shampoo/conditioner, extra toothpaste and brushes (just in case), noise makers, air purifier, memory foam mattresses, room darkening curtains, lots of blankets and pillows, outdoor shower, fire pit and s'mores kit! Outdoor grill, seating, bug spray and lots more!
We have shared access to a River viewing porch and another shared river access with beach and pier just 0.3 mi down the road.
