We keep coming back to Halsnoy Haven for the relaxing, panoramic view of Lake Superior, for the amenities, the roomy house and property, the cleanliness and the central location on the North Shore.

On the shore of Lake Superior the property offers great privacy and landscaping and is well cared for every time we come. The layout of the house is very convenient and conducive to relaxing. And the house is well equipped for guests. Halsnoy Haven is hard to beat as vacation headquarters.

This property is amazing! It’s our second time staying at Halsnoy Haven and we plan to make it “the” place we come back to each year. The place and lake views are stunning and Paul is responsive and cares a lot about your experience. The attention to detail (manual with tips on what to do and where to go), cleanliness, and high quality amenities are second to none. This place has become our standard that we compare other places to, yet nothing has compared to Halsnoy!

This wonderful property was perfect in every way.

The owners have thought of everything. The entire home was comfortable and beautifully appointed, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We even loved the toiletries that were provided. The garage and screened porch were an added bonus.

What a beautiful view. A perfect get away, with everything we needed.
Even in cloud cover the lake is stunning.
The sound of the waves crashing and rolling in were a perfect treat with our morning coffee on the enclosed 3 season porch.

This property was close to several beautiful waterfalls and a couple of lighthouses. The view was absolutely breathtaking! The home had everything we could want and was very inviting. We would highly recommend this place to anyone. We went for our 25th wedding anniversary and loved it!!!

Peaceful and Beautiful

We ended up with rain during our stay which gave a foggy view, but we could still hear the water and it was heavenly. The place is beautiful and the accomodations were top notch.

Longtime visitor to the North Shore.
We own Halsnoy Haven and the connecting property called Tofte Cove.
Both homes were name after the villages in Norway where the original settlers of Tofte were from. During my free time I have been landscaping the property to its original native setting. We have planted over 70 trees, bushes and flowers on both properties. All profit goes into improving the property. in 2026 we are hoping to install Mini-splits in the bedroom to provide air condition to this room.

Step into a rare bit history with this extraordinary of North shore home, originally built in 1902 by one of the areas founding families.

What makes this property unique

Location. You have 1.8 acres of land on Lake Superior staying in a recently renovated house with cozy indoor and outdoor furniture. Interior views are special. Most of the rooms or porches/deck face Lake Superior it has amazing effect of relaxation.
A number of guests have share with me that they cancelled day trips to stay on the property.
