Villa Calinda is a nice cozy house that leaves nothing to be desired.
From the large covered terrace and pool you have a great view of the canal, which invites you to relax and enjoy the unforgettable sunset. The villa is located in the popular southwest of Cape Coral on a plot of 1100 m2 and has a habitable surface of 180 m2.
The living room has an open American kitchen with all amenities. The master bedroom is equipped with a king size bed, followed by a fully equipped bathroom. There are 2 guest bedrooms, 1 of which is equipped with a queen bed and 1 with 2 single beds. The guest bathroom is directly accessible from the covered terrace.
Bed linen, towels and beach sheets are provided in the house.

Despite the quiet location, the house is centrally located. Cape Harbor, Tarpon Point, the Cape Coral Yacht Club, fishing pier, beach, restaurants, golf courses and shopping centers are in close proximity.
The beautiful beaches of Ft Myers and Sanibel are about 30 minutes by car.

Our house is located on a saltwater canal, has its own boat pier with boat (which is also for rent).
By boat you are in 30 minutes on the river, from there you can easily get to the gulf of Mexico and the beautiful beaches of Picnic Island, Sanibel and Captiva.
With a little luck you can see Dolphins, Manatees and many bird species.
There are also many restaurants accessible by boat ...... The Perfect Holiday.

We had a short but lovely stay and found everything to be exactly as advertised - the salt water pool was clean and kept a great temp, kitchen included many amenities, laundry on-site was a plus, and all the furnishings were comfortable and tidy. The host communication was easy and responsive, and the local host was very friendly and shared great info on what was going on that weekend. We didn't want to leave!

Such a WONDERFUL vacation! The house was extremely clean and well-stocked. Quiet neighborhood perfect for some much-needed rest and relaxation. Both my husband and I commented on how incredibly comfortable the bed was, which has never been the case with other rentals (LOL!). Highly recommend renting the boat to explore all there is to see on the water. The pool was a terrific size, and the covered area let us enjoy the outdoors even during the afternoon Florida rains. Hoping to return soon!

Family vacation

The house was a good size and fit for our family. The master suite is on the opposite side of the house which was good with kids in the house. Enjoyed the pool and the use of the boat.

Anniversary Celebration

My wife and I stayed at this great house to celebrate our 40th year together. The house was terrific, and we loved every minute of our stay even though we experienced a tropical storm. We highly recommend this property. Carol, the property manager, was very helpful and great to deal with.

Quick trip for some Spring Training

Lovely home! Everything was as advertised, very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed playing cards by the pool while the kids played in the pool. We would definitely stay again! Carol the property manager was lovely as well and reached out to make sure everything was going well.

Perfect Stay in Cape Coral

Easy communication before and during our stay and a spotless and well-appointed home upon arrival made this home the perfect place to relax. We thoroughly enjoyed the lanai and pool. The dock turned out to be a great fishing spot (red snapper, once you learn how to catch them, are fun fish to catch). And the sunsets are no less than spectacular. Fantastic Vacation

We had a fantastic 11 night stay in this home. Everything was just as pictured and described. The home was very clean and had everything we needed. The pool was perfect for lounging and it gets the sun all day. There is a nice gas grill which we used for several meals. We rented the boat for 7 days and had a great time cruising the canals. We didn't feel comfortable going into the gulf with all the other boats, but really enjoyed looking at all the homes/boats on the canals. Carol was a wonderful guide when showing us where to go. Thank you Sjef & Karin for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Sweet Escape

My wife and I were able to get away for a few days and couldn’t have picked a better place. Villa Calinda,and it’s Owners, were perfect. The house is in a great location, well equipped, clean, and very comfortable. We pool and covered patio was a wonderful way to start the day and again to unwind in the evenings. We also rented the boat and enjoyed beaching on Sanibel, boating to dinner, and really enjoyed escaping for the couple days. Wish it were longer and already planning to return next year. My husband and I drove 12 hours just to stay at this house and will definitely do it again. The previous reviews were on point. The house was great and very clean. It felt CLEAN when we walked in the door. We loved the pool area as well. The house is very spacious and my husband loved the BIG flat screen in the living room, thanks for that, now we have to buy a new one! LOL!! House is in a nice neighborhood, we felt very safe and comfortable there. My husband enjoyed talking with the neighbors walking their dogs down the sidewalk from time to time. We also felt like it was in a great central location. We plan to be back next year!!

Clean well equipped comfortable home.

Home is exactly as described. We used the house as a mid point to visit different beaches and springs along Florida’s west coast. The home is clean and very well equipped. The pool was perfect, not too cold or hot. The klompen (Dutch shoes) added such a personal touch by the homeowners . The owner was always quick to respond and pleasant, the property manager was very kind. Loved seeing them around the home. Would definitely return and we are appreciative about them accommodating our personal situation. We recommend driving to the different beaches and the springs. For groceries Farmer Joes is a must! Wish we would have gone on our first day. Wicked Dolphin Rum distillery has a free tour on certain days, fun quick visit and nearby. I could go on and on, we did so much in a week. Thank you Sjef and Karin for opening up your home for others to enjoy!!

Super fun vacation house

From the moment we walked in, we knew we had a winner. Well appointed home, lovely decorations, comfy couch, perfect swimming pool and a BOAT! We rented the boat for 2 days. We had a lovely morning with John, who taught us where to go, what markers to look for and boat safety. We motored over to Sanibel one day, anchored by the beach and had a picnic on the boat. We swam every day in the pool, which is the perfect depth and temperature. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and assorted spices, which is always nice because we always forget something. If i had one small complaint, it would be the beds. Not too comfortable, but we were so exhausted from the sun that we still managed some sleep. Some more lightning around the backyard might be nice. We will absolutely consider renting again. Communication with Sjef was very easy.

Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful time at this property. The house was great. The Master bedroom is large, as is the master bath area. It is on the opposite side of the house from the other two bedrooms and bathroom. The guest bath has an entrance from the guest hallway and also from the pool area. The pool area was great for relaxing both in the morning and the evening and we had a great time in the pool. We also rented the owner's boat and enjoyed taking it down the canal (about 1/2 hour to the river and 45 minutes to the Gulf of Mexico). While we have owned boats of our own, I was thankful the owner arranged for Bob to come on Sunday morning and give me some pointers about the boat as well as navigation in the canals and on the river. We made several trips over to the Fort Myers Beach area where we were able to dock the boat up at several fantastic restaurants. We had one small issue with the air conditioner when we first arrived and were not able to get ahold of the property manager but I emailed the owner and he called me back in less than five minutes and the problem was fixed shortly after that. There is also a nice sized well appointed kitchen and with a Walmart Market less than a mile away, we were able to cook a number of meals at the house and eat them out by the pool overlooking the canal. We were also able to keep the car in the garage (which was nice when we did venture out as the car was nice and cool). We had a great stay at a great house.

Not what’s advertised

Pictures of house are not what’s there. In the photos it shows having a TV in the master bedroom and the guide they leave at the house even says there’s a TV in the master but there is not a TV. The house keeper lives down the street and will ride her bike over and pound on the door waking you up to notify you she needs to be on the property with people that are renting the house next so she can teach them how to use the boat lift. You will receive a contract that says you get to use 250kw of electricity and it’s .25 after that. A month after your stay they will invoice you and say you were only allowed 143 kW even though their house keeper was on property using the boat lift. When you mention that they will state they didn’t have any other guest and she wasn’t there and will then offer you a $2.50 credit for her using the boat lift. House is cool and decent location but would never rent again. They will also accuse you of leaving a mess of laundry when you follow what the guide says. It states to remove all bedding from all beds and leave on the beds but when you do they message stating you left a mess of laundry

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt im dargestellten Haus. Tolle Raumaufteilung, Bäder ordentlich, Betten bequem, Küche super ausgestattet, ein Grill auf der Terasse, schöner Pool. Wir hatten gleich zu Anfang ein kleines Problem mit der Toilette, worum sich Carol (Hausverwaltung) sofort gekümmert hat. Hier nochmal ein großes Dankeschön! Ein paar wenige Kleinigkeiten, weshalb es keine durchgehende 5 Sterne Bewertung ist: Teilweise war das Geschirr in den Schränken nicht 100% sauber, sowie dort wo der Mülleimer steht und die Terrasse hätte vorher gekehrt und Spinnweben entfernt werden. Und leider konnten wir das angezeigte Boot nicht nutzen weil es einen Defekt hatte. Aber sonst hatten wir eine tolle Zeit im Haus und haben es genossen. Wir würden wieder kommen.

Urlaub mit der Familie

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit in unserem Ferienhaus. Es ist wirklich sehr schön dort, alles war vorhanden. Die Gegend, die Lage, der Pool, das Boot, wirklich echt TOP. Hatten auch für 2 Tage das Boot gemietet, war die richtige Entscheidung, haben Traumhafte Häuser und Landschaften gesehen, das Beste waren dann die Delphine bei Fort Meyers mit dem Boot. Übrigens, der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter Sjef war hervorragend. Wenn wir es schaffen, werden wir sehr gerne wiederkommen.

This house is fantastic. It felt so nice and clean when we walked in. View is great; even saw a manatee off the dock the first night. We would highly recommend renting the boat as well. We took it out every day and typically rode over to Sanibel Island which has really pretty green/blue water. Pool area is very nice. This house had the best stock of kitchen items, towels, etc of any vrbo we’ve ever rented. Thanks!

great place! get the boat.

Amazing place, as noted by previous reviewers. Allow me to provide some info about the boat that's available because that's something I was worried about and I think I might have some helpful info for folks. Four points are noteworthy. First, I've owned a boat for years and they almost all have some problem. That's not the case with this boat. It's excellent - starts on first key turn, perfectly maintained. It won't cause you a bit of trouble. Second, the price is SO cheap. You'll never rent a boat for a more reasonable price. Third, you'll pay someone $120 to show you how to use the boat. It's the best $120 you'll ever spend. The guy, John, might be the nicest person on Earth. He's going to show you everything, answer all questions, and take you for a ride to show you channel markers, where to go, etc. Expect an hour+ for this - he's thorough and excellent. Fourth, I've never used a boat on salt water and in a bay that is often shallow at times. Fortunately there's a great GPS system in the boat that shows you exactly where the boat has been. So, just follow the bold line on the GPS and you'll never run into problems. It's VERY obvious where it's okay to boat and what you should avoid, so even a knucklehead is going to be just fine with this machine on the bay. You'll know where to anchor for Sanibel, how to get across the bay, where to run around to find dolphins, etc. I couldn't be more apprehensive about using someone else's boat on water that's foreign to me, but this seriously couldn't be any easier. Don't hesitate.

Outstanding Getaway!!!
