About this property

3-bedroom family getaway one block from Palmer Lake.

Welcome to "Moonshot", as we affectionatley have dubbed our family home in fabulous Palmer Lake. With kids all gone we have taken it down to the studs for a complete renovation so that you can enjoy a peaceful stay in our 3-bedroom basement. The large living room with two big couches, a wood burning stove and new carpet provide a place to hang out together. The "Imagination Station" playroom comes equipped with toys and pillows for kids to play, read and even sleep. Hang outdoors with your crew in the pergola and hottub surrounded by stars and mountains that includes a 60 inch outdoor TV iand a fire table to keep warm no matter the season. A full laundry room and kitchenette with a full size fridge make staying a longer while comfortable.

The three bedrooms offer plenty of space for guests to relax after a day hiking to the resevoir or playing on the lake. The bathroom features a bathtub and separate shower, making it easy to unwind after a day of exploring. A wood burning stove helps keep warm and cozy in the winter and Palmer Lake basement stays cool all summer. Whether you’re traveling with family or friends, this superb home provides a comfortable and inviting retreat. Enjoy your time in Palmer Lake with a stay in Moonshot.

We have some great fitness equipment and even paddle boards available for guests that are able to respectfully care for our personal property.

The "Brew Crew" have lived for 25 years in SE Asia and Micronesia. We settled back in Colorado in 2026 buying our family home dubbed "Moonshot". This was a place to give our family roots for our young adult kids to come and visit. We look forward to hosting your family in our guest rooms with their own private entrance and amenities.

Why they chose this property

One visit to Palmer Lake and we knew this was the place. People are neighborly and active hiking the trails, swimming and fishing in the lake, and playing on the pickleball courts or attending any of the numerous community events. With close proximity to shopping, the Air Force Academy and all the big box stores you might need, you can be tucked away in our little mountain town in 15 minutes with no traffic except for the occasional train blowing through. We love it here and cant wait to share all of the great outings with you.

What makes this property unique

You are staying in half of our family home. We have designed it for families with kids and after enjoying all of the activities that this area has to offer, you can enjoy the rest of a comfortable place with all the comforts of home. The yard, easy parking, laundry, hot tub and comfy beds will make you want to stay just a little longer.
