Escape to the Lake: Spacious Lakefront House-Relax-Rejuvenate

Step outside your door for gorgeous river views of the Tennessee River on Lake Chickamauga. Enjoy the wildlife in this nature lover's paradise. The bird watching is incredible. Mornings on the back decks are filled with their songs. You may even spot an eagle! Fish the mighty Tennessee River off the dock in the back yard or bring your boat and find your own special place while exploring the river at your leisure. Bass fisherman from all over the country love the fishing on Lake Chickamauga which is right outside the back door. There are canoes and kayaks provided for those seeking some non-motorized adventure on the water. Dock is shared with house next door (owner). Plenty of room to dock a few more boats or jet skis.

Inside, the spacious and fully furnished kitchen and living area is wide open. Guest rooms are furnished and the feeling inside is much more than a simple guesthouse. The master bedroom on the main level has a queen size bed and private bathroom. The walk-in master closet also has a toddler bed and pack-n-play bed. There is a bunk room (no door) on the main level with full over full bunk beds and a twin size trundle. There are two bedrooms down stairs-one with a queen bed and a twin bed and the other with a queen bed. These two bedrooms share a full bath. Bedrooms also include dressers and/or closets. An extra full size futon bed is located behind the couch in the downstairs living room with a great view of the lake. There is also a half-bath off the living room on the main level.

Whether you're visiting Chattanooga for vacation, business, weekend getaway, bass tournament, family reunion, college graduation, birthday, wedding, anniversary, sightseeing, or anything in between this luxury vacation rental on the water is a relaxing destination you are sure to enjoy. So, if you're looking for a getaway that isn't too far away from all that Downtown Chattanooga has to offer, River's Edge #1 is a perfect fit! Step out the door onto the porch, listen to the birds and enjoy the gorgeous view of the Tennessee River. Roast marshmallows by the water and relax around the outdoor fire pit. Water is at lower level between October - April ....no motorized boating or fishing, but still plenty of relaxation in a peaceful, lakefront setting. This is one of the best vacation rentals in Chattanooga! Come and see for yourself!

Lake living comes with wildlife to enjoy as well as bugs which are not always enjoyable. Bug spray may be necessary in the summer.

We absolutely loved this property. From first contact Jenifer was very accommodating to us planning this stay for friends and family for our wedding events. Once we arrived everything went well and especially appreciated the amount of space so nobody felt like they had to be right on top of each other. Everyone loved the large kitchen and also the fire pit out by the lake with wood over by the tree all set to be used with minimal effort from us. Would recommend this property to a multitude of friends for fishing trips or family gatherings in the future.

This was the PERFECT property for our family vacation! We had a two year old and 5 adults and there was plenty of room. The kitchen and family room is very spacious and we never felt crowded. The views to the lake were great and the gradual sloped lawn down to the dock and lake were nice. The dock was a great place to sit in the sun and we rented a pontoon from a very close by marina for one day which worked out great - we could tie up at the dock to come back to fix lunch and give the two year old a nap. We cooked all meals at the house and had everything we needed. Jennifer was great to work with and we had no issues at all. Everyone is looking forward to next time at this exact property!

Family Vacation

Great location. Quiet, close to Chattanooga, lake is gorgeous. Lots of deer and other wildlife in the area. Home is very roomy. Our family of 13 had plenty of space. View of the lake and it's deck are great. Some updating of linens would enhance the interior. Owner is great. Quickly and efficiently responded when we had any questions or issues. Family had a great time. Definitely recommend.

Large house right on the lake

The house was huge and in a beautiful location. It was great to be able to bring the dogs. The host left plenty of basic home supplies which was awesome. We enjoyed paddling around on the kayaks and hanging out on the docks.

The property was awesome. Plenty of room for the 11 of us that went on our family trip. The lake was really low and that would have been good to know before we got there. But it was no big deal for us. Would definitely recommend it and stay again.

Wonderful Getaway

I had a lovely time while staying at this property. It was a peaceful and relaxing setting which is exactly what I was looking for. The wildlife surrounding the lake was plentiful and such a delight. The entire home was more than well equipped with everything I could have needed and communication with the host was super fast were a need to arise during my stay. I highly recommend and look forward to hopefully returning in the future!

60th Birthday Celebration

This was the perfect spot to be able to visit Soddy Lake, Chester Frost and Harrison Bay! It was great to be able to dock the boat and relax on the banks. It also had a perfect view of a quaint cove during a rainy day. Thank you Jennifer for a great experience!

Perfect place!

Jennifer’s house was perfect for all of our family. It had been almost 20 years since we had all been able to get together like that and we all had a blast. Perfect location!!

Well laid out house with plenty of room for everyone. Loved the large living room and kitchen. Made it easy for our family to eat and visit together. The only problem we had was there are a lot of steep stairs with no hand rails which made it difficult for my elderly mom and uncles. Overall had a great time and would definitely stay again. Can’t beat the great view of the lake.

Perfect lake get away

Plenty of room for my entire family! Great vacation with the water to jump into since TN summers are Hot Hot Hot! Dropped in our jet skis in the lake using the ramp in the yard. Will return if available next year.

Perfect vacation

Everything was well stocked and there were water toys along with canoes kayaks and life vests. Property manager responded to any question or concerns almost immediately. Dock was carpeted which was outstanding for our 4 year old grandson for safety. It was also close to the water which was also great. Lots of wildlife to see and quiet cove with great views and relaxation was easy to achieve.

Nice property and location with potential but needs some TLC and repairs made for water intrusion in basement. We were unable to stay when heavy rains caused basement flooding. Jennifer was very responsive and quickly refunded our money.

Had a wonderful stay at this roomy house. It was nice to have the gradual sloped back yard right to the water for my elderly parents(90,86, and 80). We traveled with our parents, our adult children and our grandchildren (1month,2yr, and 7yr old). The dock was amazing and equipped with a row of lounge chairs to enjoy the lake! Our host was prompt in responding to any and all of my questions. Our only not positive comment would be that the 4th bedroom wasn’t a bedroom but a set of bunks with no door. We figured it out but our 80 year old mother took one for the team and stayed in it and shared the master bathroom facilities. This would not have been an issue if you have older children but we had babies so for us it was challenging .To sum it up, this is an amazing property with plenty of space to spread out and relax! Lake access is the best you could ask for. Plenty of room to dock our pontoon and fishing boat.

Nice house and location

The house and location is nice and the properly owner was very helpful. The only negative was that the house was relatively "spartan". For example, there was very little furniture in the main floor living area (could have used a love seat and more chairs), essentially nothing on the walls throughout the house, and bedrooms didn't have end tables or lamps. Again, the house was nice but could use a little remodeling.
