The perfect place to unwind during our visit to France for the rugby World Cup. The accommodation is in the perfect location and is full of traditional charm and character. Nora and Laurent were great hosts and helped us with any questions and issues we had. We would love to return in the future.

Beautiful view, great location

Firstly absolutely lovely, engaging hosts. They were so helpful and friendly. Location is perfect. The marina, restaurants and shops are a short walk. The best croissants ever are an even a shorter walk down the street!!! That said, the listing had not been updated in awhile. The access to the beach at the bottom of the stairs is not just two steps to the sand. It now is a flip ladder that has to be extended down. It is a narrow, somewhat flimsy thing that I attempted to use once and never again.It is not something that older adults could safely use. The level of the sand had eroded significantly. The listing photos do not reflect the current situation. We then had to walk to the public access. The listing indicated 3 toilets, but there are only 2. There is only one toilet on the floor with all the bedrooms. We still had a good vacation and the people of Bandol are lovely.

Une maison magnifique!

Our family of four stayed in this magical home for several months in the fall of 2014. The house itself is impeccably kept, and nearly every room (including 3 of 4 bedrooms) takes in sweeping views of the sea. We dined every night on the farmhouse table on the phenomenal terrace, watching the sunset and the twinkle of distant fishing boats. The American kitchen is a gem, with every possible item and appliance you need to prepare delightful family meals. Even the master bath is a treat, with a bathtub opening directly onto the sea view. Words really cannot do justice to the enchanting position of the house, which takes in the warmest rays of the day's sun and blocks the most forceful winds. The BBQ terrace is also shady and calm, an oasis above the busy beach. The proprietor is wonderfully attentive. When the dishwasher stopped working, the repairman arrived the next day. The appliance was eventually replaced (at no inconvenience to us) with a brand new model. The local property manager and housecleaner was also very helpful and kept the house in great shape! We could text the owners with any problems or questions and they immediately responded with assistance. They personally came to check us in and out of the house, and obviously had genuine affection for the home and wanted us to enjoy our stay. They were especially welcoming to our children, which is very important to us as we travel often all together. This house could not be in a more ideal location. It has a private entrance to the most beautiful fine sand beach in this part of the sea coast. It is steps from the port, the lovely back streets of Bandol, fun restaurants, amazing bakeries, the daily market, the train station (just a 45 minute ride into the center of Marseille), and it is on the sentier littoral, the coastal trail that winds its way westward over seaside cliffs and secluded beaches. The community of Bandol is warm and welcoming, and this house puts you in the most convenient and central place to enjoy it all, without noise or chaos of any kind. We have rented homes all over the world (India, Europe, the US) and this is the most lovely home we have had the privilege to stay in. If you are looking for an elegant family space to enjoy this part of the French coast, look no further. This place is paradise, and we will miss it with all our hearts.

A storybook stay

We had a lovely time at this beautiful property, where we could relax and enjoy time as a family. The hosts were welcoming and hospitable and a pleasure to deal with. We hope to return again.

Situation exceptionnelle

Maison au bords de l’eau, située dans une anse aux eaux cristallines. Il suffit de descendre quelques marches et on se retrouve sur le sable. De plus, impossible de se lasser de la vue depuis les terrasses ... un vrai bonheur !
