Plan your escape to this private lakeside cottage nestled in the quietness of North Bay on Great Pond, accessed by a private road shared by only two other properties. This beautiful property can be enjoyed May through October. A private dock , covered porch and platform on the water's edge are just a few of the amenities unique to this property. The three bedroom/one full-bath cottage welcomes up to five guests and includes all linens, towels etc. The cottage is fully stocked with dishes, cookware, gas grill, and more.
The property is sure to provide you with a comfortable stay in the Belgrade Lakes Region. It is a fabulous spot that offers 3 great walking/biking loops right from your driveway. Loops include Golden Pond Lane (approx. 1.25-mile loop), Crane Lane (approx. 1-mile loop), or you can try the extended loop which takes you down Hathaway Lane, through Crystal Springs, and back to Jamaica Point (approx. 5-mile loop). Less than 10 minutes away there are several hiking trails with amazing views: Mt. Phillip, French's Mountain, The Mountain, and other well-maintained trails in the Kennebec Highlands.
Great swimming and fishing. Many bass fishermen come to Great Pond for the big catch! The largest lake in the chain of lakes, Great Pond is a remarkable lake that offers great experiences. Great Pond has hosted several Major League Fishing events that have been featured in Maine Fishing and Outdoor Magazine.
Belgrade Lakes has become a seasonal hub of great food and drink, all in the midst of supporting local music! The Village Inn and Tavern offers live music on Sunday and Wednesday evenings. It can be accessed by car or, better yet, boat across and enjoy the evening on the stream. Day's Store hosts wine tasting and open mic on Tuesday evenings throughout the summer. Sunset Grille is a casual restaurant/bar dining experience that hosts live music every Monday evening. The Belgrade Lakes Farmer’s Market is each Sunday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm in the Village (Memorial Day through Labor Day). You'll also want to check out the fine bakeries, artisan shops, gift shops, and more in the heart of Belgrade Lakes. Unlike other lakes in the Belgrades, Great Pond offers amenities which are accessible by water: boat rentals, restaurants, convenience store, post office, marine, gasoline, and more!
For those who golf, the Belgrade Lakes Golf Club is an award-winning course that has garnered numerous awards. This prestigious golf club is just a short drive away. Not a golfer? Stop into the golf club for lunch and take in the panoramic views of both Great Pond and Long Pond! Other nearby attractions include Pine Tree Camp for children with physical disabilities and the Travis Mills Foundation, a lakeside retreat for post- 9/11 veterans who have been injured in active duty or as a result of their service to our nation. The Travis Mills Foundation hosts several open houses throughout the year, when they open their doors to the public to tour the grand facility.
Worried about a rainy day at the lake? The covered porch is a great opportunity to get outdoors while staying dry; it's also the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail. The cottage is less than 25 minutes to shopping in Waterville or Augusta. A variety of movie theatres are nearby, which offer new blockbuster films (Flagship Cinema) and classics (Railroad Square Cinema).
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept pets. We ask that you DO NOT have overnight guests, aside from renters. Parking allows for only 2-3 vehicles as 1 parking spot is reserved for owner access to the lake. We look forward to sharing our cottage with you.

This was our second vacation at this location and it was just as wonderful as the first. Everything we needed was there for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Thank you!
As described, short notice rental for us. Great location- could have a tad bit more modernization in kitchen but overall we loved it. Front porch and lower deck were perfect spots to relax

Thank you for your input. What is particular could be more modern in the kitchen as I want to make any changes that would provide more of what the renters want and/or need
This house was perfect for myself, my wife, our 16 year old son and his friend. The house came equipped with everything we needed and was super comfortable. The porch overlooking the lake was great and we rented a boat and took full advantage of the dock. Great Pond has amazing boating and fishing and made for a great vacation. Boat rides over to the public docks at Days Store for ice cream we’re super fun. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed our stay at Sandra's cabin. It was clean and so many items available for us to use such as dishes, glassware, linens, trash bags, etc. There were even some games and puzzles for the kids upstairs. The front porch has an amazing view of the lake. There is also a hammock and wooden platform near the dock that you can sit on and enjoy a closer look at the lake. Be sure to sit there for a perfect view of the sunrise. Sandra was very quick to answer our questions and help us with anything during our trip. She even dropped off a few extra supplies in the middle of the week since a storm was approaching. We loved our vacation in Maine.
Positive experience.
Beautiful sunrises over the lake.
Simple but very nice cottage.
Would rent again if available and we do not need something bigger.
Responsive owners.
We were fishing and had room to park our bass boat and trailer and turn it around in the driveway. Nice dock to tie up to. House was great with everything that we needed. Nice front porch facing the lake and lower deck for relaxing with nice view of the lake. Quite location and less busy place on the lake in North Bay. June fishing was good. No air conditioning but house is shaded in the woods so probably not a problem unless weather is very hot. Windows open for good air flow. Loved our stay and will go back.
This is a beautiful and well-maintained property on Great Pond. The views of the lake are terrific from the spacious covered porch on the house and from a smaller shaded deck closer to the water, attractively decorated with flowers. Everything you need is provided with the house and the owner was friendly and helpful. We have stayed at several properties on Great Pond over the last ten years and found this one to be the quietest. We will definitely go back. Thank you so much, Sandra.
We had a wonderful time on our first family trip to Maine. The home is very nice and located in a very serene area of Great Pond. Sandra was a great host and was very responsive with any questions we had.
Sandra was wonderful. Property was well maintained and everything was as advertised! Thanks for sharing with us.

Beautiful property
My family and I arrived Friday afternoon and greeted by a magnificent spot on the water. The property has a great dock for fishing and everything you would need in the cottage to be comfortable and was incredibly clean. We will definitely come back!!

About the host
Hosted by Sandra LaBelle
This was my parents property that I have purchased to carry on their legacy!! I grew up in the farm shown in the photo section. Have traveled and am sure that this is where I want to spend the rest of my life-Jamaica Point!! My parents -age 95-still live in the farm overlooking the lake and my Dad still has a garden and a small vegetable stand at the end of the road. I have had a pontoon boat on this lake for 24 years and there is no place like it! It is a spot that you will always remember and want to revisit.
Why they chose this property
It is in North Bay-the quietest part of the lake but you can access the nearby Belgrade Lakes area by boat or car to visit shops and restaurants. A very peaceful and most comfortable place to stay. If it's privacy you want this is where you will find it. Most beautiful place to just relax. Owner welcomes input from guests and hope to see the same folks year after year to create more memories of this beautiful spot.
What makes this property unique
The cottage is located in North Bay and is one of the more quiet Bays on Great Pond! Linens are provided. Owner lives very nearby. Sure if you forget something you will find it at camp! Linens provided as well as paper goods.
