Maria is a wonderful host, and we loved staying at her apartment in the heart of Venice -- an easy 5-minute walk from the San Stae vaporetto stop. We especially enjoyed the view from her balcony, overlooking Rio di San Zan Degola -- a smaller canal busy with gondola traffic & motorboats during the day & early evening. Both kitchen & bathroom were unusually well-stocked with everything we needed during our stay. Highly recommended!

The apartment was in a nice quiet area, within walking distance of restaurants, shops and a vaparetto stop (San Stae).The listing was very accurate and there was everything you could need in the apartment to cook meals if you did not want to visit one of the many restaurants that are within close proximity of the apartment.The property is an older property and not modern but it fits in well with the ambiance of Venice.The host met us at the apartment to give us the keys.We had 2 single beds that can be made into a double bed and they were comfortable but very noisy, each time you turned over, the beds squeaked loudly.I would stay here again.

Watch the gondolas from the terrace

We loved our five day stay in Santa Croce Venice in this wonderful quiet location away from the crowds of tourists but still with easy easy access to cafes, restaurants, bars and a supermarket. It was a lovely 10 min walk to Rialto Bridge and the Grand Canal but most of all loved watching the gondolas and other canal traffic from the balcony. We loved exploring the back streets of Venice and its canals and bridges not to mention the amazing sights, history and galleries.

This place is nice and it’s in a great location. My wife and I enjoy walking everywhere and everything was within a 20-25 minute walk max. Granted, I guess you could walk anywhere in Venice in that time. Pros: Great view of the canals from the apartment. Communication with the host was good. There is a washer in the apartment. Cons: there is no dryer for your clothes and VERY minimal space to hang and air dry your clothes. There is no shower curtain or door for the shower and it is not very big. I am by no means a big man. Still had a tough time taking a shower. Also, the water pressure from the shower is a trickle at best. The mattress in the bedroom as extremely hard. Now, we did have a great time. I’m only pointing out these few things in order to pass it on to someone considering renting this place. It was just my wife and I and we made it work. Again, had a great time and this place was good.

Excellent communication from the host who met us at check in. As others have mentioned, the highlight of this place is being able to watch the boats on the canal from the little balcony. Too small to sit on it but chair in kitchen works well to see out. Very well stocked kitchen, grocery store 5 minutes away as well as many restaurants. Easy walk from the train station (we had 2 small carry ons) where you can catch the Vaporetto, and to the grande canal and all the sites. Away from the crowds but close to everything. Agree with other comments on the bed - comfortable but very noisy when turning over/moving.Was great to do laundry. Would stay again and recommend this place & host.

Central location, easy to get to from the train station, comfortable, nice canal views and proximity to restaurants make this a nice place to stay. The owner is sweet and accommodating and left me a bottle of prosecco and water. My only small complaint was the bed…it was made out of two smaller beds that would split apart as I rolled over. Other than that it was very comfortable and a nice place to stay.

Oui l'arrivée a été rapide et l'accueil correct.La chambre était propre.L'emplacement est très bien, nous avons profité du balcon avec une vue sur le canal et un petit pont. Nous avons admiré le passage des gondoles, d'autres bateaux et le va et vient des passants sans être génés par le bruit ambiant Nous étions à proximité du vaporetto, très pratique pour toutes les visites.

Autentisk stemning i Venedig

En hyggelig lejlighed i et roligt kvarter med udsigt til en af de mange kanaler, hvor vi kunne følge med i de lokales dagligdag fra balkonen. Lejligheden ligger centralt i forhold til alle dele af byen, også “must-see” attraktionerne, som ex Markuspladsen. Alt i alt en fantastisk lejlighed og placering

Wir konnten eine großzügige, saubere Wohnung mitten in Venedig direkt mit Aussicht auf einen Kanal benutzen. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sowie der Bahnhof sind zu Fuß leicht zu erreichen. Es hat uns dort sehr gutgefallen.

Appartement spacieux, propre, tout confort, tres bien situe, dans un quartier tranquille et anime. Boire le spritz sur le petit balcon en regardant passer les bateaux sur le canal est cadeau. Immeuble calme , bien tenu. La proprietaire est accueillante et disponible.
