Walk in the door of this home and the lake view is a show stopper. Stare out to the lake from any chair in the great room or walk out to the deck and immediately relax into vacation mode.

Awesome lake front home complete with 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, cathedral ceilings with open concept kitchen, living, and dining. Kitchen boasts granite counter tops, extended bar with 8 stools, wine storage, dbl coffee pot + Keurig! Microwave, dishwasher, stainless steel fridge and stove provide all the comforts of home, but with the tranquil views that let you know you are officially on vacation. Wood-burning fireplace inside and great fire pit outside. The deck provides dining table and space for grilling, chilling, and soaking in the view.

Dock has spacious swim platform, covered portion, swim bench and aqua stairs for easy entrace to the deep water. It's situated just inside a quiet cove so you can spend your days floating leisurely without the hassle of boat traffic on big water. Want the big water? Swim about 50 feet and you are in open water where you can look across to the South Carolina side. Water is DEEP and perfect for bringing your boat or rent one from the Marina in Hartwell. The Mary Anne Branch boat launch is about 1.5 miles away and you can tie up your boat to the built in buoys on either side of the dock. Please make sure to wear a life jacket! Plenty of shore line for skipping rocks or fishing.

Like wild life? Watch the numerous bird species in the trees, catch a glimpse of a red fox, and you may see herons and cranes when down at the dock.

Further on the comforts of this vacation house: Hi-speed wireless. 2 Smart TVs, comfortable queen beds in all 4 rooms, one room includes 2 twin pullout beds, towels and linens furnished.

Easy day trips to Clemson, Athens (UGA,) Helen, & Greenville. Atlanta is just under 2 hours away also. You can even get to Clemson by boat!

20 minutes to Grocery store (Ingles,) WalMart, and downtown Hartwell with plenty of restaurants, shops, and the marina. General Store + The Dollar General are less than 10 minutes away if you need just a couple of quick things or need to refresh the ice in your cooler.

Hartwell downtown has a brewery, coffee shop, Amish sandwich shop + market, other great little restaurants and shops to explore. Cateechee Golf Course/ Waterfall Grill for dining and golfing. Boat to JR Cash's for a fun beach bar with live music. Check out the Hartwell Wildlife Safari or hike Paynes Creek.

Perfect Getaway

Our group wanted to find a place that was an easy drive from Atlanta and would allow for a nice break from the city, and this was exactly what we needed. It was a comfortable stay, and we were delighted to discover that we were easy driving distance from several good parks/hikes.

Wonder lake house

House was very clean and host was accommodating. Great location on the lake and dock was great for kids swimming and docking our boat. Based on the rating would have expected a higher degree of maintenance around the house and better instructions on using interior lighting and TVs. Overall a great experience for the weekend with kids and grandkids!

Great place to spend time with family

This house was perfect for a family getaway. We loved being able to bring our dog and our boat. The lake is beautiful and the house is stocked with everything you may need. We enjoyed being out on the lake all day and then playing one of the many games they have at the house at night. I recommend staying at this house if you are going to Lake Hartwell.

Very clean, cozy lake house

We had an excellent experience at this property. It’s a lovely lake house, with four bedrooms. The bathrooms are Jack-and-Jill style, between the set of two bedrooms. The house has everything you need.

Relaxing get away

This was a great place to stay. The view was amazing and the house is so nicely stocked with everything you would possibly need. The house was very roomy and we had a great time playing games and relaxing out by the water. We were able to rent a pontoon boat which was a lot of fun and did some fishing off the back platform. We took our college kids with us and they had a blast. Jamie was very easy to deal with and we had no problems with our reservation. I would highly recommend this place for a fun and relaxing family get away.

This home has a beautiful layout which takes full advantage of the lake views. The owner was very kind and had left all sorts of amenities to make our stay very enjoyable.

Great Lake dock and house

Great stay ! Dock was wonderful with the walking foam mat for kids Cove was peaceful. Great for a Dog too. Only criticism was carpet was a bit musky and grill was bit worn. But I would definitely return soon

Fun and Relaxing with plenty of space for the family!

My family loved the view of the lake as we enjoyed our meals together on the large back porch. We swam in the quiet cove and fished off the dock. There was enough back lawn to set up a game of croquet. There were plenty of outside chairs to sit around the fire pit. The beds were comfortable and the entire house was super clean and cozy.

Stayed for 2 nights owner was easy to get ahold of and responsive. Great swimming off boat dock. Quite and peaceful setting. Would book again for longer stay. A bit of a drive for supplies but who cares when you have a beautiful lake to come back to.

Time Away

This property allowed us all to refresh and regroup. The open space for fellowship and large kitchen seating allowed for conversation and game playing for our family time together. The lake view and dock allowed us to dock and spend time fishing easily

I live in Atlanta and Lake Hartwell is my getaway out of the city. I immediately relax when exiting off of 85 knowing that relaxing view from the deck is just a few minutes away!

I grew up in the Midwest, went to college in Charleston, SC and spent years traveling abroad and living in Europe. I have stayed at many VRBOs and know what it takes to make guests feel at home.

Why they chose this property

Lake Hartwell is less than 2 hours from Atlanta, but feels like a world away from the traffic and congestion. The lake is calm, quiet, and really feels like a vacation where you can relax unlike some of the lakes that are closer to Atlanta and feel just as busy on the water as you do on the highways. I highly recommend seeing for yourself why Lake Hartwell is the perfect escape.

What makes this property unique

The expansive deck with stunning view of the lake gets me every time. It's an easy stroll to get to the dock and there's plenty of yard space for activities, hammock naps, and dogs to play. Parking is easy, the home is quick to find, and it's close to a boat ramp if you bring your own boat. The firepit is perfect for evenings and the home is an excellent layout for entertaining and spending time together.
