We loved our stay here!! What wasn't fully clear from the listing was how close and accessible the beach was - a short walk down the driveway and across the street to an easily walkable, long beach boardwalk that leads down to the rocks and open sandy shore in places. We saw sea otters playing in the water every evening. Thanks for the binoculars! There was so much to love about this place - quiet, private location, central to many places of interest, large space to spread out,

Had an absolutely wonderful time. Great location. Great views. Only problem was the stove wasn't working but owner very apologetic and found other ways to cook using the remaining appliances. Definitely will rent again.

This is my third property rental in 6 years in the Pacific Grove area and the most disappointing - it was just fair. Awesome location in a house that set back from the main road. Quiet with a great view of the Pacific Ocean and a walking path along its rocky shore. There were many reviews that mentioned a "film" on the windows but I think that is a normal occurrence to living on the waterfront and was not that big of a deal. When we arrived, the property was very stuffy and needed to be aired out. Open the front door and the back doors, the breeze will clear out the stuffiness, but there are no screens on the doors. Some of the windows appeared to be painted shut in the bedrooms so opening them for air was not an option. If you are excepting the bunk beds like the photos suggest, you will be disappointed. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms appear to have been updated. That said, the kitchen was a very different story. The kitchen cabinets and countertops are worn and dated. Stove is in need of an upgrade, fridge was dented on the front. There were ant traps on the kitchen counters and spider webs in the bedrooms. The back patio was tired and no real landscaping in the back yard. Not a place to sit and relax. There was a light switch on the back patio without a switch cover exposing wires. A nice coat of paint on the inside and exterior would go a long way with this property.What few questions I had prior to arrival were quickly answered by the host.

Killer location & views / comfy beds & pillows

We really loved the location and the views — absolutely beautiful and peaceful. The beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable, which made a big difference for our stay! The kitchen was well-stocked with plenty of supplies, although a few pans could use replacing. The host was very nice and super responsive, which we really appreciated.Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely consider staying again!

The view is everything

Stayed here with my family and we are so glad we did! The view was beautiful and we got to see deer walking by. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Great heater system. overall great stay!

Amazing Coastal Getaway

We had an amazing stay at this property to celebrate my birthday and explore the area. I only wish we could have stayed longer! Gorgeous views, comfortable house, well equipped kitchen and all things we needed for an easy stay. We hope to return!

Great overall experience

The home was fantastically located next to the ocean front trails. While the interior is a bit dated, it is very kid friendly. I highly recommend this home and hope to stay there again.

Location, location, location

We saw whales, deer, and sea otters from the breakfast table. Only a short drive to Carmel, Pebble Beach, and the Hwy 1 scenic drive. There is a walking trail on the oceanside with the most amazing views. We could not have had a better stay!

Outstanding Views

I stayed here with my Husband, his parents and brother. We were all in love with this location and the family sitting areas covered with glass windows to enjoy the view. We felt very comfortable in this house with 5 adults; plenty of places to lounge together, eat and cook together. We found the house had everything we needed for our stay and would definitely love to stay here again.

We did enjoy our stay but there are a few appliances that you should have serviced. We were sad to notice that there wasn’t an outdoor grill. The vent on the microwave/hood is not working. Nor was the oven. The washing machine has mold in it & the dishwasher door opens in the last 20 min. Great views though.

Great views of the beach and ocean! Exciting I see the deer in the morning and evenings. Loved walking along the boardwalk. The house was comfortable, however could have been a little cleaner. The grandkids were looking forward to sleeping in the bunk beds but they were not on the house as pictured.

Awesome Beach House

We loved our stay at this beach house in Pacific Grove. It is in an awesome location in between Monterey and Carmel. The beach view is stunning from the kitchen, as well as the living room. There was plenty of room for everyone. Only wish we could have stayed longer!
