About this property
Fuzzy Duck Cottage. Over 100 5 star reviews on Trip Advisor. Sleeps 4
Fuzzy Duck Cottage is a charming, traditional 120‑year‑old property located in the heart of the vibrant village of Heacham. The prices shown are for up to four guests, but the cottage also includes a third bedroom with bunk beds that can be added for a small additional fee—just ask for details.
The cottage is within easy walking distance of all village amenities and only a 15‑minute stroll from the beach, making it an ideal base for exploring beautiful North Norfolk. The interior has been carefully refurbished to a high standard, offering a cosy real fire for relaxing evenings, a selection of videos and board games, and a spotless, welcoming environment. Guests will also find a generous welcome pack on arrival.
Families are very well catered for with a travel cot, high chair, and stair gates at both the top and bottom of the staircase. The large enclosed rear garden features a BBQ and a lovely Summer House. Three bikes are available in the garden shed; although not part of the rental, guests are welcome to use them at their own risk.
Heacham offers an excellent range of dining options within walking distance, including three pubs serving good food, a traditional butcher, two fish and chip shops, and both Indian and Chinese restaurants. For everyday essentials, there is a Tesco Express and a Lidl in the village, with full‑size supermarkets in nearby Hunstanton (just a five‑minute drive).
Golfers will find several excellent courses close by, including Heacham Manor. Wildlife enthusiasts can enjoy seal sightings from the beach or take dedicated seal‑watching trips from nearby Blakeney. The area is also perfect for birdwatching, with renowned nature reserves such as Titchwell and Snettisham close at hand. Three pairs of older binoculars are provided for guests to use. For children and teenagers, the Hunstanton funfair is always a popular choice.
Changeover days are usually Saturday to Saturday, but we are happy to consider alternative days during quieter periods.
Parking is on the quiet road directly outside the cottage. Guests consistently tell us this is never an issue, and if the space outside the door happens to be taken, there is always plenty of room just to the left of the property.
If you would like any extra information, have specific requirements, or would like to see additional photos, we are always delighted to help. Please feel free to get in touch at any time—we want your stay at Fuzzy Duck Cottage to be perfect.

About the host
Hosted by Helen Johnson
Dave & Helen - we've now owned Fuzzy Duck for 13 years. Just love the village of Heacham and try & keep Fuzzy Duck spotlessly clean with a high level of equipment you'd expect from your own home. We still get a buzz every time we recive a good review & if we get constructive feed back we always try & act on it. Each year we try & update a room. In the past 3 years, we replaced the bathrom, the kitchin, the utility room & upgraded the front room with beautful open real fire.
