Just the perfect place

Everything was perfect... the warm and generous welcome, the total comfort of the gîte, quiet and relaxing garden and of course the stunning area where there is so much to discover and enjoy. It really is the best gîte we have stayed in ...we loved it!

The Gîte was very clean and nicely furnished. The Kitchen had everything you needed. The area around the house was very nice. Not far from an old Chateau which we visited. We would definitely recommend this gîte.

Idyllic

We enjoyed a wonderful few days at Chris and Lin's fabulous house in Saint Mondane. The facilities were all as described, the location is perfect to explore the Dordogne, and Chris and Lin went above and beyond to ensure that out stay was a happy one Could not recommend this property too highly..Will certainly return.

Absolutely stellar across the board from communication as to directions and arrival as well as nearby grocery/boulangerie etc. . Additionally, everything was clean (spotless) and well appointed. Our hosts were very attentive and available if needed. We had a truly pleasant and wonderful week stay. Thank you.

Perfect base to rest and explore.

Jardinier cottage is all it promised to be. Quiet, restful, spacious and beautifully restored with a super comfy sofa and bed. We loved the semi-rural location with complete quiet and the short drives to explore were a delight of quiet pretty roads that meandered through ancient beautiful villages, Sarlat within easy reach. The hosts go the extra mile to ensure you are comfortable with great amenities and you feel truly welcomed with bread, wine and cheese, it was a so appreciated. Highly recommend!

Beautiful gite

Chris and Lin’s cottage is just outside St Mondane in a beautiful, peaceful location. The cottage has one bedroom but it’s not small. The bedroom is large, the kitchen likewise. It is all beautifully furnished to a high standard, and is fully equipped with everything you could need. This was our second visit. Thank you both very much for the use of your lovely house.

Wonderful!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this pretty and perfect gite. The accommodation was immaculately clean and welcoming. Everything we could wish for was provided. The garden a tranquil place to enjoy a nice glass of wine surrounded by butterflies and nature. Lin and Chris were super hosts and the welcome pack a thoughtful and much appreciated gesture. 5* thank you

Lovely!

We had a great stay at this beautiful gite and would highly recommend it. Chris & Lin were excellent hosts and took care of everything from sending directions in advance, meeting us on arrival & departure and being on hand if we needed anything. The gite itself is a real gem, beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable, situated just outside the village it is incredibly peaceful. We found the location great for exploring the region, being within easy driving distance of Sarlat, Rocamadour, Domme, and the numerous Chateau and other attractions of the region. Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely return.

A wonderful retreat in homely gite

We were greeted with a very warm welcome on arrival by our hosts Chris and Lin - who prepared a basket of treats for us, too. This beautifully decorated and upmarket gite was everything we could have hoped for and more. It has all of the necessary amenities you could imagine so you will feel right at home here in Sainte-Mondane. This is the ideal location for guests who like us are looking for a peaceful getaway in Perigord. The outdoor space and seating area are a great place to unwind after a day of exploring the many nearby sights. You will be hard pushed to find a better holiday home in this area. A truly memorable trip!

Fairytale cottage nestled in rural Dordogne

Even more beautiful in real life than the photos, the heritage building and setting of this gite are both amazing! Inside, it is comfortable, spaceous and well-appointed. It was the perfect home base for our introduction to the Dordogne / Perigord Noir region; close to many of the major attractions. The idyllic nature of the gite was matched only by the warmth and attentiveness of the hosts, Chris and Lin! For example, when we took a wrong turn on our way to arriving at Sainte Mondane, Chris was very responsive by email and called us right away to offer help with directions. This stay was the perfect beginng to our trip to France to celebrate a significant wedding anniversary, and we would recommend it to anyone!

An absolute gem!

We had a wonderful few days here - the gite is outstanding. We were warmly welcomed by Chris on arrival and we were so grateful for the extremely generous welcome pack. The best we have ever had! Thank you very much. The gite was spotlessly clean which makes such a difference. Lin and Chris have obviously worked hard to make sure their guests have a relaxing and happy time. They have thought of everything including lots of little extra touches. The furnishings are very tasteful, the kitchen is very well equipped, the bed is very comfortable and the shower is excellent. Unfortunately the weather wasn't good enough for us to sit outside much, but the garden area is really quiet and pretty. The location is perfect. We explored the area on our bikes - there are plenty of quiet roads and the voie verte is nearby. We would highly recommend this lovely gite. I wish we could have stayed longer!
