First class all round

This little cottage is the best holiday home we've stayed in. Superbly located, well decorated and appointed, it really is a 'little star'. When we arrived it was gratifying to see that it had everything one needs but no old tat that some previous resident had left behind. Within easy reach of the coastal resorts but in a quiet little village, it's a perfect spot for a relaxing break.

more lovely than anticipated

When i booked the cottage, I had not expected it to be so lovely. There is lots of space for 2 and the mixture of old cosy rooms and the light and airy modern extension was great. The village is perfect, with a pub and shop - and what a shop- you dont need to take any food along - they have everything. and so close to the coast yet such a quiet spot.

Disappointed

I had to clean fridge and toilet on arrival, cleanliness bad, weeds in garden, shower leaked onto floor, told owners who we met outside on the Monday and they knew about these things.

Very enjoyable stay

Little Star is exactly that. We had a very enjoyable four night stay and found the location fine for the Norfolk coast line. The cottage itself is very comfortable, well equipped and finished to a very high standard. The only issue we have with this cottage and which would probably put us off staying again is the lack of a smart TV in the lounge which allows you to access your Netflix and Amazon Prime accounts and BBC I player. This should be standard in a luxury cottage in 21st Century. We ended up bringing the small smart TV from the bedroom down into the lounge which is not really acceptable and even that TV did not allow you to access Netflix. This may not be a problem for many but our first day there was a complete wash out so we had to stay in and the lack of decent TV was very frustrating. There was an issue with the shower thermostat that only gave you very hot water but that may have been a recent fault which we reported. Buy a Smart TV and we will come back!

Quiet and relaxing week in Little Star

Little Star is surprisingly spacious for a one bedroom cottage. First impressions from the outside were that it might be small; it was not. The front room with it's log fire and beamed ceiling was tastefully furnished, as was the rest of the property. One can walk to the local pub (which gets rather busy) in 10 minutes, where they serve food. Brancaster / Hunstanton / Thornham are a 10 minute car journey away.

Excellent cottage

Such a beautiful cottage in a great location, giving easy access to the beaches and attractions of north Norfolk. However if you are wanting to explore a lot you will find it difficult to leave this cottage each day, as it is so comfortable and relaxing, in a beautiful setting.

Definitely a Little Star

A lovely place to stay in any weather! Lots of places to visit nearby and some interesting walks right on the doorstep. Great local pubs, restaurants and a variety of food shops if you want to cook and stay in by the roaring log burner. Little Star is the perfect place to relax and get away from it all.

Lovely cottage in a great location.

Our third visit to Little Star - we just love it. Really tasteful festive decorations made it extra special. It’s a very well equipped cottage with everything you need for a holiday. And it’s dog friendly so Hunter got to enjoy lovely long walks on the nearby beaches. Location is perfect for the north Norfolk beaches, for The Gin Trap Inn, Eric’s fish and chips and we also enjoyed a day at Fakenham races. Highly recommend Little Star. Big thanks to the owners for making it so special.

Lives up to it's name

Little Star very much lives up to it's name.... Extremely well equipped and comfortable cottage. The logs for the burner and welcome pack were gratefully received. Great shop and pub in village. Easy access to Norfolk coast. Would happily stay again.

Lovely cottage

Have stayed in other Norfolk hideaway cottages, but this one was the best by far. They have thought of everything you need. Like home from home.

A longed for holiday spoilt.

I had to contact Norfolk Hideaways several times because of faults, as follows: The courtyard was not "enclosed" and my dog was through the hedge in seconds. The shower didn't work, the lavatory flush button didn't work properly, the fridge in the kitchen didn't work properly (there was another one), the decking was rotting and broke in 3 places (fortunately, the workman wasn't hurt). the garden gate needed fixing, then the sliding glass door wouldn't lock on my last night. Apart from the last two, everything else was fixed. Also, I could only leave open 2 of 4 bedroom windows because there was nowhere to place the "arms" as the posts were missing. Such a shame.

Third visit

As the title says this was our third visit to Little Star. Everything was lovely as per usual, however since we first visited one or two things are looking a bit jaded round the edges, if you are being really, really fussy. Big hole in the decking outside, which has gone rotten, seating cushions for outside sofa all ripped and some had paint on them, and none of them would fit the chair. The door on the Keter storage unit was brittle and broken off. The internet connection was poor, to the point of unusable (not been like that on previous visits) with my iPhone telling me the connection had ‘weak security’. Perhaps now is also the time to upgrade to a smart TV. We struggled to get water at the right temperature to shower under, it was just a little too hot and there’s quite a lot of limescale on appliances and in the bathroom. The new wardrobe doors are very flimsy, so don’t think they’ll last long and don’t shut properly with clothes in. The oven was filthy and needs a good clean. None of these things were present on our last visit in May 19, so just a case of keeping on top of maintenance issues as they arise. Bearing in mind the property has been empty of visitors for a good while, some of these jobs could have been done.

Great Xmas break

Lovely welcome at the cottage with Xmas decorations, lights and gifts along with cards from the co and the village pub! Cottage was really comfortable and warm. Plenty of wood provided for fire too. Nice and quiet location but easy (though dark!) walk to Gin Trap for drinks and dinner Xmas Eve.

Lovely stylish cottage for two

Beautiful and stylishly furnished cosy cottage. It was so nice for the lights to be on for our arrival, and the cottage decorated for Christmas. We would definitely stay again in the future, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend. We also appreciated the welcome goodies supplied too.

Little Star - little gem.

Wonderful, comfortable accommodation, ideal for a couple. Decorated to a high standard throughout, pleasantly furnished. Great that 2 dogs are allowed, ideally located for local walks, dog friendly pub within a short walk. Enclosed front and rear garden, again very dog friendly. Just a short drive to lovely beach and coastal walks. Would highly recommend and hope to return before long.
