Plenty of room for families, lots of parking, large dining area and deck made meal time enjoyable, comfy beds, easy walk to beach, really couldn't be any more perfect!
We rented for a long weekend at the beach with 2-parents, 2-kids, Grandma and pup. House is well stocked with kitchen tools and board games. Location is unbeatable! Very much enjoyed the stay. Check-in and out was easy. Would recommend!
Fantastic little house that had everything we needed. Owner was very responsive and accommodating. The proximity to beach access makes enjoying the beach a breeze!
Charming beach cottage, perfect location - quick walk to the beach, quiet at night, cool during the hot days, well stocked!! There was even a large beach cart we could use to cart our chairs, towels and cabana to the beach! Owner was accommodating easy to communicate with. We hope to return!!
We loved the property and would highly recommend it. It was a convenient walk to the beach and dining, and a short drive to shopping and entertainment. The space was perfect for our family of four plus our dog. Consider this strong endorsement.

We had a wide range of ages stay at this home (from 2yrs to 5ish) and WE ALL ENJOYED IT. Great amount of space for the kids to play around also! Not to mention - the SUPER SHORT WALK to the beach! We enjoyed our stay and everything that the host had to offer within the home, plus great communication. Thank you for hosting us :)
Great beach cottage for 2 families to hang out before and after moving our boys into UNCW. We grilled steaks, played cards, enjoyed the beach, ocean, outdoor shower, comfy beds, TV, sofas, patio, and walking to the pier, restaurants and arcade. A great setting for launching our boys. Host was helpful and place was perfect.
Traveling in from fort Campbell, fort Belvoir & fort bragg!awesome weekend everything was on point had all amenities, provided coziness, the deck, outside shower, washer and drier, and the distance to the beach is literally right there! My family were very relaxed & fulfilled!
Thank you!
Cute home. Looks better inside than outside :) Short walk to public beach access. About a block. Some places still not open and some only open part time. No beach toys, beach towels, bring them with you.
We had too much fun! We rode bikes everywhere, played Pickleball, hiked the state parks, visited the historic site, took the ferries to Bald Head Island, walked the beach, ate a bunch of seafood, attended the Island Men Mac and Cheese Festival, and saw some amazing sunrises and sunsets. The dining room table was the best gathering spot. Erin was available if we needed anything. Hope to come back next year.
We had a great time during out stay at this house! We had 9 people and there was plenty of space for all of us to relax and enjoy ourselves. The house is located just one block from a public beach access so we could just walk back and forth whenever we wanted. The house was very well-stocked with dishes, linens, cooking supplies and paper goods. When we had a need, Erin was quick to respond. Another nice thing was the garage attached to the house where we could easily store sandy beach items. The outdoor shower was also a big bonus! We had a great time and definitely recommend this house for anyone wanting a fun and relaxing vacation at the beach!

Nice cottage
The kitchen is well equipped (there was even one tool in there that I couldn’t identify). Very close to an uncrowded stretch of beach, and a short drive to the more active sections of town. The stash of beach chairs and umbrella cart in the “garage” is also a nice touch.
Carolina/Kure Beaches are beautiful and laid back (read not Myrtle Beach). They are great for a family getaway.
Tony Silvagni’s Surf School is a great way to spend a few hours. Tony is one of the top American longboarders, but odds are he’ll be the one answering the phone if you call him. Great guy and great business he runs. I’m darn near 50 and he gets me up on the board.

My family love this cottage
Cozy, homey beach cottage a block from beach access or park your car and gear at the access. This cottage was perfect for our family. Loved the antique hand painted furniture. Grandparents had their own separate room and bathroom and the parents and girls had their own separate suite and bathroom. The girls loved sleeping on the glassed in screen porch. Everything was there we needed including bogies boards to a brand new gas grill with propane. Fort Fisher aquarium and butterfly aviary were 3 miles away. Dinosaur exhibit there too. Took a 30 minute ferry to historic city of Southport. So much to tell and great memories. Owners were quick to answer our calls and courteous. Great for families and girls trip.Hope to return soon.
The cottage was cute and had great location. The pictures online show a very bright and airy place however in reality the windows had shutters that made the inside dark and dreary. The online picture showed a beautiful landscaped yard and at the time of our stay a 3 story condo was being built behind it. I’m not sure if this would have changed my choice but it was a little disappointing.
Still everyone enjoyed themselves and the cottage is very cute.
Honestly, right now I am waiting for my refundable deposit to be returned and I don’t like that it is taking so long.
nice house for family beeing at a close location to beach

About the host

I'm a New Orleans native, and love Music, food, and culture. I spent 30 years in Washington, DC in the promotional products business and chose to move to Kure Beach for a place to raise 2 spirited children. I am still very active with my promo business, and also have 4 other rental properties on the island.
Why they chose this property
The proximity to the beach and downtown Kure Beach is spectacular. This location is considered downtown Kure Beach, just 5 short blocks from the pier. We love this location because it's just a short distance from all the chaos, and where you can really relax. We love that the cottage is on the ground, and not a vertical situation, like most other homes in the area. Step out on the porch, put your feet on the grass, hear, smell, and see the ocean begging you to come play in the sand.
What makes this property unique
This home was completely gutted on the inside, restoring the old pine walls and ceilings, sleeping porch to its new glow.
