Great vacation home

Stayed here for a short vacation with my kids and dog. Great home if you are looking for a quiet, private location. Awesome views, no street noise, and just the sounds of crickets at night. We enjoyed the indoor pool, which was very clean, large, and had great views. Bedrooms were all clean, bright, decorated, and had very comfortable beds. Loved the house’s decor, felt like a home. Emmanuelle, our host, had great communication.

Perfect weekend/longer stay getaway

Rented this amazing 70's home for an aunt/niece weekend and it was the best! Emmanuelle is a terrific host: easy and fun to communicate with, incredibly kind and responsive, and hands-on in the best way: she took us on a short house tour when we arrived. The pictures of the home are very accurate - though the pictures of the view cannot do it justice. The view out the front of the home is incredible and the front yard was a great place for a small campfire one night. The pool is a gem: it's beautiful, clean, and we used it every day. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay (a lot of stuff we didn't use but noticed like a fan, humidifier!, snacks). We found chard and plenty of tomatoes in the garden and made a couple of great meals with the fresh produce. We had a blast in this terrific, comfortable home - THANK YOU Emmanuelle!

Great property

The best place we have stayed in! Our family of 4 just loved everything about this property. Emmanuelle was just a great host, house was very clean and had everything we needed to make our stay very relaxing. Our daughters specially loved the indoor heated pool and had a great time. Peaceful Scenic Getaway

The perfect place to de-stress and soak in nature with amazing views. The host was so gracious and offered a clean, warm space to rest and recharge. The mid-century modern vibe is welcoming and the kitchen well-equipped. The garden provided delicious tomatoes for our family dinner. Birds and other wildlife were frequent visitors to the expansive lawns. We enjoyed the indoor pool and outdoor yoga deck. Wish we could’ve stayed much longer!

I could see moving in....

It is a real Paradise on the Earth with breathtaking view.

Amazing property with amazing host Emmanuelle, we were on the other planet with breathtaking views from the hill, full privacy, very quiet, just singing birds and buzzing bees. Spacious beautiful sparkling clean home with vintage furniture and interior full of good energy. Indoor warm pool and own garden were perfect addition to our stay. You will never want to leave and you will dream to be back at least one more time.

Amazing location, amazing home, amazing host!

The view alone is worth renting this property for several days, but then there’s also the roomy, classic ranch house, beautiful indoor pool, and fresh herb and vegetable garden which provided us with daily recipe inspiration - pesto, zucchini chips, pico de gallo, omelettes, grilled eggplant and more! Emmanuelle is the consummate host - friendly, generous, responsive, resourceful, and she went above and beyond to ensure we had a great visit. Five stars!

Beautiful views

My family had a very nice time during a week long stay. The views are absolutely beautiful, I could out there all day (and did). The indoor pool was a nice escape from the Summer sun. Kitchen has everything you may need. We cooked a lot and even used some fresh vegetables from the garden. The house is well laid out and has many means of egress. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to unplug while visiting the area.

Beautiful views in picturesque area

House was immaculate and Emmanuelle gave us a tour, which we so appreciated. We found a variety of snacks and a vase of fresh cut flowers - above and beyond! We saw bunnies and deer on the property with butterflies and lightning bugs galore. And the night sky was incredible. My only critique is the old HVAC is loud (as the host mentioned) and the furniture was very firm for our liking. The saltwater pool is really something! Again, the views are incredible.

Lovely location, magnificent view!

Just lovely, inside and out. Excellent exposure. Lots of natural light and the view from the living room is mesmerizing, peaceful and totally relaxing. The indoor heated pool ensured there would be no disappointment because of the weather. The house is conveniently located within easy driving distance of many local activities and restaurants. We were lucky to be there in mid September when Emmanuelle's vegetable garden was overflowing with the mostly delicious tomatoes, eggplants, peppers. She so very graciously allowed us to partake. We had a lovely stay.

Wonderful stay, wonderful property

We had a wonderful stay at Emmanuelle’s home. Our family (my wife and I and our two toddlers and dog) thoroughly enjoyed the home, the property, the area. The house is clean, open & airy. It has everything you need for your stay. The property I think must be one of the prettiest in the area. Amazing view of the countryside, seemingly endless lawn to run around in, pingpong table, foosball table, hammock, garden to pick fresh vegetables, etc. The house is conveniently located between the towns of Rhinebeck & Clinton Corners- so you have access to stores, restaurants, activities, but also very lovely and quiet so you can simply relax on the property as well. Emmanuelle was a perfect host- she was there to greet us and give us a tour of the home, and also came by occasionally to tend to the garden/property, but always gave us a heads up before doing so. She was easily accessible and very friendly, happy to give plenty of tips and recommendations in the area. We had a lovely stay and would 100% rent this home again.

Beautiful, Secluded, and Relaxing

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a week in November and we had a wonderful, memorable stay. Thanks to Emmanuelle, the owner, for making sure that we had everything we needed. She was the perfect VRBO host in our opinion -- available and attentive, but respectful of guest privacy. First of all, the views: although by its nature the Hudson Valley always lends itself to spectacular views, this house provides the best I've seen. Situated at the top of a steep grassy hill, you have an unimpeded vantage covering miles of rolling hills and forest. Despite the cold temperatures, we were lucky to visit in November if for no other reason than the fall colors. The house itself is ranch-style, long and narrow, which we like since everything is on the same floor and the layout lends itself to casual living. The rooms are well-appointed for lounging and reading; our main objective during our stay. Last but not least, the pool was an amazing feature. It's connected through the basement but easier to access through a short outdoor run, and we loved every moment we were there. The pool room and the pool itself are heated, and enclosed on all sides with large picture windows to give you amazing views while you swim. And because of the house's isolation from neighbors there were no privacy concerns at all. No qualms here; this was a great stay and we highly recommend it, and hope to return.

1970s love

If your priorities are privacy, remarkable views, and the perfect indoor swimming pool, this is your house. There are deer in the yard and marvelous stars at night. The kitchen is equipped for serious cooking (including an ice cream maker and multiple salad spinners), and stocked with spices, olive oil, and other basic supplies. We cooked two dinners and wanted for nothing. The home was built around 1970, and with the exception of the dishwasher and fridge, nothing has been updated- think original fixtures, tile, windows, etc- it depends on your perspective whether or not this is a plus. The owner has a great sense of style, and the house is stylishly decorated, but the furniture is also older/vintage/worn. Also be aware before you book that there is a double security charge: a $1,500 refundable charge (which the owner refunded seemingly within minutes of our leaving the house), and an additional non-refundable $99 property damage insurance. And no cable t.v., if that's important to you. My party of 5 (two families, plus a dog) had a great time. No one wanted to leave.

My husband, son and I spent the month of August at Emmanuelle's incredible property and loved it, as did all the friends who visited. From the moment we drove up, we knew this was someplace special. The views are as they appear in her photos, and simply mesmerizing. We spent many hours transfixed by views of the Hudson Valley and the comings and goings of the birds, fox and deer. The salt water, indoor pool was incredible -- large and great for laps or floating around. We underestimated how much we appreciated the ability to swim day or night, regardless of the weather. When my husband first booked the property I was concerned that "vintage" meant "decrepit", but the house is immaculate, extremely well maintained and you could eat off the floor. Emmanuelle is a thoughtful, resourceful and responsive host., who takes outstanding care of her home and her guests; we were made to feel like her friends. She came on property a once a week -- always doing it at our convenience -- to mow the lawn, maintain the pool and make sure that everything was ok. The kitchen was stocked with all of the basic dry goods, utensils and equipment that one would need -- a wonderful surprise as compared with other homes we've rented. We knew that she had a garden, but we never expected that it would produce so much produce that we used throughout the month. This was our first VRBO experience, and we hit the jackpot. Emmanuelle is a gem and her home is an oasis of tranquility. In terms of location, we were 10 min from Standfordville and 20 minutes from everywhere else. Due to COVID, many of the local attractions were closed, but there was still plenty to do and enjoy.
