Great condo on the ocean

We enjoyed our stay in the lovely condo! The resort is nice and the pool area and bar were awesome! Just wish there were a few more restaurants close by.

Awesome stay. The condo is beautifully updated.Sugarbeach is our favorite place because of the 5 mile walk everyday towards Maalea and the laid back feel. New BBQ’s were a nice addition too. Overall 10 out of 10. The owner was super quick to respond which was really nice

Great stay!

We had a wonderful stay! The condo was clean, updated, and in an excellent location. You are close to food, activities, and most importantly, right on the beach. We would definitely stay here again!

While i did have multiple challenges with items in the unit, when i contacted my representative, action was taken as quickly as possible to fix the problems that arose. Great family vacation spot!

We enjoyed our stay at the Sugar Beach resort and especially liked the morning walks on the beach, which is right outside. There is a beautiful view of the sunrise and sunset, and the pool and hot tub are kept clean. It is centrally located, close to shopping and restaurants, everything you would want in a resort.

We have stayed in this unit in the past and were very pleased with the upgrades and renovations that have obviously been done. The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessities and we were very thankful with the overall cleanliness of our unit. Also, the owner is very accommodating and has always been very timely with any responses to our concerns.

My wife and I loved our stay at this property. Our first trip as empty nesters. David is a fantastic host and incredibly responsive. Check in was about as easy as we’ve experienced and the place was exactly as pictured, which seems to not be the norm lately. The king bed was very comfortable and the place was spotless. Very well appointed with everything you would need to cook a gourmet meal ir eat a bowl of cereal. The view from the lanai is absolutely stunning and very comfortable. There were even a couple of beach chairs and umbrellas that we used every day. All in all, this place is a little slice of paradise and we will be back.

We had a wonderful time. The condo was great. Had everything we needed. Just a suggestion, I think you should put a label of some sort on the “Pantry” door. We were here about 10 days before I pulled the door open and discovered there was a pantry 😁

Beautifully renovated apartment in Sugar Beach. Owner does a great job with stocking the unit as well as they have everything you need from appliances to beach chairs and more. Can’t beat the ocean view or hearing the waves crash as you fall asleep. Kihei in general is a great spot to stay if you’re exploring the island as it’s central to just about everything. Can’t recommend this unit enough.

If you want the Beach Life!

Have been coming to Maui for over 35 years and have stayed at many places, but this is the best. Not like those hotels on the beach, but a beautiful condo, 3 stories up, ON THE BEACH. You can't get any closer. Watching whales on the lenia (bring your own binoculars) and enjoying a fresh cup of Maui coffee from Java Lava, it doesn't get any better than this. My only regret in writing this review is that this place gets overbooked and I have to find another place!

Incredible Maui experience.

What a wonderful welcome for us! The lights were on, temperature was perfect, TV on, and a welcome package. Sunscreen, aloe gel, lotion, shampoo, body wash, conditioner, laundry detergent, dishwasher pods, paper towels, trash bags, & plenty of TP were all there. A fan was provided for me per request. Customer service at its best. Saw whales from the lanai everday. Beachfront was magnificent. The only criticism I have is there could be a lounge chair on the lanai and the sofa bed needs a new mattress. Otherwise it was perfect! Would recommend this condo & stay again for sure.

Don't want to tell you about this place, then everyone will want it.

The most exceptional views from the 3rd floor. If you go higher, the palm trees block your view. Remodeled condo with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. At the end of Kihea so you don't have all the traffic. Perfect access to go anywhere. We have already booked for next year. Oh by the way, the owner, David is amazing to work with! He does care what you think and your experience. If he can fix it, he will do it. Another thing, if you are here during whale season, bring your binoculars. Amazing breaching everywhere you look from your lanai.

Wonderful unit, smallish but perfect for a couple with a small child. Stylish furnishings. Fantastic beach, great for swimming with very little coral, and a decent pool for kids. Friendly staff and guests. Hoping the owner gets another property management company.

Challenging trip in Maui. Bad weather. Condo was great.

The condo was great. The sliding glass door in above unit was over used. 6-9pm opened and closed 50 times. Loud and irritating. Weather was terrible and water muddy. No ability to get in and swim safely or snorkel on sugar beach. Not a place to easily walk to restaurants etc. I ended up having to rent a car to leave the area. Loved the turtles at the marine reserve about an hour walk away. Loved the Quicksilver snorkeling tour out of Lahaina. Loved the views from the condo. Bed was super comfortable and lots of amenities available in the unit. Loved the keyless entry to condo.

Quiet area centrally located to drive anywhere

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The area was clean and quiet. It was just short drive to join the hustle and bustle of tourist/island activities or stay back and enjoy the beauty and quiet. The condo was very nice. The view was beautiful and the property was maintained well. The setting was quiet and relaxing. There were several families visiting so children are there and there is plenty of room for families to spread out. The beach is beautiful and very clean. While the listing said it was newly renovated, I would say the renovations are nice…just maybe not new any longer. The only issue was my expectation that newly renovated meant the bed was new as well. While it was fine for sleeping, it wasn’t new and had a lump here and there. We still slept fine. All in all, I would recommend this condo and this establishment. Definitely a deal with the price and what you get. I would stay again!

Maui trip 2022

This is my 3rd Hawaii trip and 2nd to Maui with my family. We just love the vibe here, so peaceful and relaxing and the beaches were wonderful! Last time we stayed in La Haina but we preferred Maalaea and will be back!

Right on the ocean

We loved staying in a place with a lanai that opens up right onto the ocean — it was so close! Making meals or taking a break inside, just look up and you see the beautiful water. We loved hearing the waves all the time.

Amazing! Great Location, Great Room, Spectacular View!

Staying at Sugar Beach #318 was perfect! The condo was very clean, well stocked, and provided hours of whale watching from the lanai. The sound of the ocean at night was the best! The resort is clean and well taken care of. It has beautiful and well kept grounds, the pool and BBQ area are great! The beach is a few steps away from the resort. Easy check in/out process, management on site to assist. Overall we are very pleased with our stay and cannot wait to go back next year.
