Dolphin Lookout is situated in Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island in South Australia. The Island is accessible by air from Adelaide, a half hour flight or on the ferry from Cape Jervis, a 45 minute crossing. The house has fabulous sea and beach views and is a short walk from the beach. A comfortable home that offers guests the ability to entertain and unwind with shops close by and restaurants just around the corner. You are on the doorstep of natures paradise!
The house also features a large protected undercover deck suitable for meals. It has a comfortable lounge area for relaxing with views back to the mainland. There is a childproof gate to the garden downstairs.

Great place and location for family

Great house for family, close to beach. Would sleep 6-8 comfortably. The house was as described on the website. All equipment was clean and worked. We enjoyed staying there.

A beautiful house with amazing views. Beautiful and clean inside and a under cover decking at the front. Communication was great. Highly recommended.

The property is located 2 mins from ferry. It is situated on a beautiful outlook of the water.

We had an fantastic family holiday with Nanna. The premises had everything and more very comfortable clean and gorgeous position of overlooking water and watching boats come in. Defiantly recommend staying here if your lucky enough to hire when your here! Looking forward to returning and staying at Dophin Lodge! 👍🤩🐬

Lovely, Relaxing

A clean, well-lit place with beautiful views. It was our base for 5 days exploring the island but in fact the loveliest day was when we decided not to drive elsewhere, simply enjoyed the view, watched the ferry come and go and played on the beach down the road. And yes, there were dolphins!

Dolphin’s Lookout

We loved our stay at Dolphins Lookout. The house was very comfortable and well equipped. We saw Dolphins from the deck on our first night. Our host Prue was very accommodating when our plans changed and sent us great sightseeing tips. She was very easy to communicate with. Overall we would happily stay there again

Our favourite place

This was our second stay at dolphins lookout and won’t be our last. The house and views are beautiful. Our kids love watching the ferry come and go and having wallabies and kangaroos outside the front door every night. We love being a short walk from Penneshaw bay and having the convenience of the IGA, pub and cute cafes while still being in a small town. A magical place we are always sad to leave.

Dolphins delivered

Dolphin Lookout certainly lived up to our expectations. Not only is it a perfect location, it had everything we needed for a beautiful 6 day holiday. Penneshaw was the perfect location to stay for fabulous food at the hotel, The Shy Wren and Millie Mae. Thanks Prue for providing a great holiday venue. And the Dolphins made an appearance on a few occasions. Perfect. Thanks Kangaroo Island for having us. Love it. 💗💗💗

Perfect holiday accommodation

We loved our stay at Dolphin Lookout. The house was clean, had everything you could possibly need and an amazing view. It was lovely sitting out on the deck and watching the ferry come and go. Highly recommend.

Fabulous View

Our stay in Dolphin Lookout was perfect. The view from the deck was amazing. Watching the Ferry come and go day and night just added to the experience. Very clean, an easy walk to the main part of town and the beach. The house had everything we needed and was a great base to go exploring the Island from.

Great view!

Lovely kitchen and deck area with view of the ferry coming and going - and yes you can spot dolphins swimming past! (ocean safari can take you closer!) Penneshaw has some great cafes and restaurants that were very busy but still top notch. The weather was surprisingly wet during our stay so we spent a lot of time driving all over the island to see the amazing coastline and visit the brilliant wineries / shops / farms eg honey farm, eucalyptus distillery, kangaroo island spirits, kangaroo island brewery, lavender farm

Lovely accommodation in Penneshaw with beautiful views

Comfortably fit two families including 3 kids. Plenty of living area including a lovely deck/balcony with sea views. All the appliances/glassware/utensils including children’s plates and bowls and towels and sheets etc being included made for a very easy stay.

Loved our stay here. The property was clean, comfortable and well located with a gorgeous outlook over the water and a fabulous deck. Very accessible for my elderly parents with entry via a ramp to the front door. Owners/ managers were very responsive to our enquiry. Thanks for a lovely stay

Family Holiday

We enjoyed a wonderful holiday at Dolphins Lookout with our family and friends. The home is clean, comfortable and very well equipped. The views from the large deck are superb and it is a great place to relax. All our evening meals were taken here. The house is located within easy walking distance to the beach. Prue, the owner was excellent with all communication. Given the opportunity we would certainly stay here again.

We loved everything about this accommodation! Very clean, well equipped and excellent location. Prue was excellent communicating with us promptly. The only thing i like to point out is the fly screen which needs repair. We would definitely stay there again next time we travel to KI.

Relax and enjoy

Prue is a fabulous host. The property was well prepared with a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable furnishings and good quality linens and towels. The outside deck is a fantastic outdoor space with a spectacular view.
