Had the best time at this luxurious cabin! First class amenities! Close to the various slopes, but did not want to leave the property. One of the best vacations ever!
Beautiful home and setting. Ideal setup for large, multigenerational family gathering. Wonderful, large side deck for gathering with a great view and spacious grounds for kids to explore. Short drives to area shops, attraction, and Somerset.
We loved our stay at Lost Bear Cabin. The owners clearly take a lot of pride in the property - it is thoughtfully decorated, impeccably clean, and well-stocked for every contingency. Our group was very comfortable and we enjoyed the social atmosphere of the Great Room and the beautiful views. We also took a hike around the property in the snow and made use of the outdoor fire pit. It's really a great place for a group of any size.
Immaculate and meticulously stocked home. As a professional organizer for a living I was thoroughly impressed with how thoughtfully and beautifully set up this home is for guests. Maybe the cleanest rental property we’ve ever stayed in. Didn’t hurt we were there for a ski trip and for 8 inches of snow our first night! Property is beautiful as is but even more when it’s snow covered.
We had an amazing stay at Lost Bear Cabin. The owners have thought of every detail making the stay seamless & enjoyable. We spent a great weekend together with two other families and went tubing, skiing, played cornhole in the yard, roasted 'smores over the fire pit and hung out comfortably in the cabin. We felt at home and had plenty of room to enjoy each other's company. The owners labeled everything so we didn't have to search for anything while there. The kitchen was amazing, the provided utensils made clean up a snap and the fire pit kit & huge woodpile made it so simple to enjoy the night & 'smores. I really couldn't ask for anything more and we can't wait to visit again!
This house is the perfect choice for total relaxation and creating special memories. Our family, including elderly parents, was looking for a place that was conducive to talking and playing games, and that also had activities in the surrounding area for those who wanted to venture out. Lost Bear Cabin had the ideal set up for us. The house is beautifully decorated, has an extensively stocked kitchen with cookware, appliances, and spices to meet most all cooking needs, and also comes with a guest basket of basic toiletries that may have been forgotten in the packing process. The property manager is very responsive and provided us with an extensive set of instructions that made navigating all aspects of our stay seamless. There is a gorgeous view of the mountains from the back of the house, and our favorite experience was sitting around the gas fire pit on the side porch and catching up. We are so appreciative of the opportunity to stay at this wonderful property and highly recommend it!
Not a single complaint about this property - NOTHING! The description is 100% honest, if anything, maybe a bit understated. The house is large, comfortable, spotlessly clean, and in absolutely pristine condition. The linens and mattresses are as comfortable as home. The kitchen is BEYOND “well-stocked” with seasoning, spices, pots, pans - absolutely 100% of everything you can possbily need or want. The fir-pit has ample fire-wood - in fact, 4 sizes of precut wood - and more than you can possibly need. Tinder, kindling, split logs - AND fire-starters. TV in every room, SONOS, excellent wifi, and on and on and on! If this house is on your list - because it is available for your dates… stop thining about it and BOOK IT!
We had a fantastic time with our kids on our weekend of skiing. This house is gorgeous with amazing architecture, design and interior decoration. We hope me too return in the future with more families. It was also spotless and had a ton of linens. We also appreciated the paper products. Thank you for a great weekend! Your home is amazing!
This is a beautifully appointed home with a spacious great room furnished with comfy furniture, spacious bedrooms and bathrooms and top of the line appliances.
We missed having a gas fireplace but found the house to be well heated throughout.
There is a hill behind the house that provided good sledding for our grandkids.
We had a good weekend and would recommend this property.
We enjoyed Lost Bear Cabin with three families. We had a total of 12 people and found we had plenty of room to spread out and have fun.
The kids all stayed in the basement and loved having their own space to play pool and other games and watch TV. The boys loved the bunk beds! We did find the basement to be a bit cold.
The kitchen was well stocked and very functional. It took us some time to get used to the stove but the owners left good instructions for all appliances. We thought the kitchen could use more light for our aging eyes.
The beds were very comfortable and we appreciated the linens that were provided.
Our group enjoyed the outdoor wood fire pit the most. We cooked lunch one day outside and also s’mores one evening. We did not use the propane fire pit on the deck.
Our only complaints were the wifi, tvs and water supply. There were 9 or 10 tvs in the house but we could only have two on at any one time. We honestly didn’t watch much tv during the days, but in the evenings it would have been nice. Wifi was spotty which we expected. Data from our cellular service was better. We also ran completely out of water one evening and did not feel we used an excessive amount of water during our stay. The supply seemed to replenish overnight and was back the next morning.
All three families agreed that we would love to come back to the cabin again as a group. The house was beautiful, comfortable and views were amazing. Keith was very responsive and access to the property was hassle free. We are looking forward to another relaxing vacation at Lost Bear. Thanks for the memories!
Every year we travel to southern PA from DC to meet friends from Cleveland for a weekend getaway.
This house was perfect for our party of 8 adults. Each room had a full bathroom. Everything from sheets&towels to cookware felt new and the home layout was well thought out. The pantry was stocked with paper plates, cups, napkins, even zip lock bags.
The check in/out process could not have been smoother. Grateful for a great stay.
Beautiful view, huge deck is perfect for outdoor meals, games, etc. Big yard out front and back, great for Cornhole and other games. High end finishes throughout the house, very comfortable stay. Highly recommend, worth the cost.
We have rented this house twice in the past month and it’s just perfect for us plenty of room for our family of 5 and our friends family of 6 plus our two nannies. There is so much room to spread out. It’s also decorated so tastefully and comfortably. The basement is an adults playground! Each time we rented this house we skied at seven springs or hidden valley and it was just so nice to come back to this warm, welcoming mountain house with a beautiful view of the snow crystal covered trees. Thank you for another great stay!
The home was super clean and beautiful! Everyone had enough space to sleep in comfort. The great room was perfect for gathering as a group. The view was amazingZ thank you so much!
This house is stunning and very well designed and maintained!! Every room was so beautifully decorated, we all fell in love. My family and I had a great weekend here celebrating a couple of big birthdays. I would recommend this house to anyone at all, for any reason at all.
We had an absolutely perfect stay at Lost Bear cabin this past weekend. The house is gorgeous, with big spacious rooms, sweeping views, and meticulous attention to detail as far as decor and amenities. We went skiing daily at seven springs, only about 20 minutes from the house. It was always nice to return home to this beautiful cabin after a long day on the slopes. We hope we can return again soon!
