Chalet in Central Colorado Springs Location, 3 BR, 2 BA, Views, WiFi
Welcome to Parkside Chalet
Some places just feel different the moment you arrive. Parkside Chalet is one of them.
This warm, character-filled retreat — exposed logs, open beams, and a brick fireplace with a history of its own — is tucked against Palmer Park, one of Colorado Springs' most beloved natural treasures. Step off the back patio and you're instantly on the trails. Sandstone formations, sweeping views, and miles of paths for hiking, trail running, and mountain biking are literally out your back door.
The Chalet occupies the main floor of a two-story home. The lower level is a private owner's suite, so your group has the run of the place — your own space, your own pace, your own Colorado.
A Home With a Real Story
Parkside Chalet began as the owner's childhood family home, lovingly designed by his mother and inspired by a storied 1860s stagecoach stop that became the legendary Ski Tip Lodge near Keystone. You'll feel that history the moment you walk in — rough-hewn logs overhead, open beams catching the light, and a commanding brick fireplace whose mantle once graced the fireplace of one of the early settlers of Colorado Springs. Light the fire, pour something warm, and let the evening settle in. There is nowhere else you'll want to be.
This isn't a decorated rental. It's a home that has been lived in, loved, and passed down — and now it's yours for a while.
The Meadow
Out front, something quietly extraordinary is stirring. The owner and a dedicated organic gardener are transforming part of the property into a native habitat preserve — a living sanctuary for the pollinators, wildflowers, and wildlife that have always belonged to this corner of Colorado. An antique bench beneath a Linden tree faces east into the morning light, waiting for whoever needs a moment to breathe. Follow the journey at Parkside Pollinators, the website.
Come for the trails. Stay for the warmth of this delightful piece of Colorado history. Leave wondering how soon you can come back.

Location was a 10! Gorgeous hiking everyday in your backyard. The owner was very welcoming. The only downside we had was because of personal preference. We went to the laundromat instead of hang drying all of our clothing / towels to completely dry. “German style” dryer.
Wonderful place to go back to. With 4 children and 3 adults we had so much room and each one had their own space. We were able to cook most of our meals in their kitchen the rest was eating with our local family. Really enjoyed our stay.
Excellent place to stay with Palmer Park right off the back patio. Spacious accommodations for a group. Trails are easy to access but also close to shopping and restaurants. Enjoyed the history of the chalet and browsing the books in the office. Thank you George for sharing your beautiful family home!
Nice clean place!Only disappointing thing was the very low water pressure in the showers and the kitchen!

Thanks for staying at Parkside. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the water pressure. The home is on a municipal water system and water pressure isn't typically an issue. We hope that our future guests won't experience this problem and hope to see you again soon!
Overall very good. Good location. Unfortunately, dryer did not work, so this interfered with plans for regular laundry for family. Emailed owner as part of initial email stream received from them on this and never had a reply.

Hi Jason – Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the location and are sorry about the dryer. We checked carefully and unfortunately didn’t find any record of your email, which means we missed the chance to help during your stay, which sucks for us; we excel at helping guests. For next time, we also have a text line and a 24/7 answering service to make sure we can respond right away. We’d love to welcome you back!
The Chalet was the perfect location for a peaceful getaway with family. The accommodations were comfortable, spacious, well cared for and convenient to enjoying the many sights in the Springs. Watching the deer walk by in the morning while enjoying that first cup of coffee or was a great treat as were the hiking the trails along the bluffs. The Chalet is definitely a location for a return trip.
Our stay at the Chalet was perfect. We did need them to put in the air conditioners (it was hot when we were there), and they took care of that in record time. The home had everything we needed, it is very spacious, and we enjoyed our stay.
We had a great time at this property! We hiked in the park behind every day, the kids lived going for walks. Everything was comfortable and clean and we even referred our friends to this property for their upcoming trip to the area. Would definitely recommend!
This property is centrally located in Colorado Springs, and it is great for a medium to large family (with accomodations for up to 8!). Nights are very quiet without any city noises, and the property backs up to a nice park with a hiking trail going right past the back porch. We really enjoyed staying there, and will most likely return.
