Important Update: Beginning March 2025, Amelia by the Sea will undergo vital structural improvements to ensure our property's long-term beauty and safety. While we're excited about these enhancements, we want to be upfront with you: construction work, including concrete and steel repairs, will create noise during daytime hours for approximately 12 months. Construction Hours are 8am-5:30 M-F, no work on weekends.
We value your vacation experience and understand that peaceful oceanfront moments are precious. If you're considering a stay with us during this period, please factor this into your planning. Amelia by the Sea, Unit 552, is a 3 bedroom, 2-bath unit on the fifth floor which has an unobstructed view of the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. This unit provides a feeling of elegance with modern furniture combined with just the right touch of antiques. The furnishings provide a comfortable haven away from home.

The kitchen has modern appliances and cabinets, perfect for dining with your family and friends while on vacation. The living room and bedrooms each have a TV for your enjoyment. A washer and dryer are also provided for your convenience.

The master bedroom has a King bed and a TV, but most of all, it has A Direct Ocean View.

All units at Amelia by the Sea have a direct ocean breeze blowing across the balcony and this unit is certainly no exception. You have a table and four chairs here for your comfort while you enjoy your morning coffee, lunch or dinner, or you just listen to the sound of the surf and seagulls as you watch the sunrise.

The 800 ft fishing pier is available to our guests and NO FISHING LICENSE is required when fishing from this private pier. The swimming pool, which is on the ocean side of the building, has been completely redone and is now glistening in the sun ready for your arrival! Two tennis courts are also available on a first-come basis.

Amelia by the Sea is a gated complex with open parking for a MAXIMUM of 2 vehicles per unit.

Beautiful Beach Get Away!

The condo was more than we expected, the pictures don't do it justice. Everything was very clean, check in was super easy, and the location was great. We are looking forward to our next visit 😊

Beautiful Views

We loved staying here, watching the sun (and moon) rise just over the water. Beautiful beaches are right outside the windows, while countless restaurants, shops, and stores are easily reachable in multiple directions. Communication with Melissa was effortless. Would stay again.

Perfect location! Great layout

We had the best time! The location is perfect, and the layout of the condo is great. A thorough, deep cleaning would serve the property well, as would improved cooking pans. Still, we loved it!!

Hurricane trip

We stayed the week of hurricane Debby. We spent a lot of time in the condo due to the weather. We loved the balcony and spent a lot of time watching spectacular lightening over the ocean at night and beautiful rainbows during the day. The condo was cozy, clean, and conveniently located. We loved it.

Happy Place

My happiest childhood memories are at these condos, so it was amazing to visit again as an adult and bring my whole family! This apartment fit my whole family comfortably. Communication was prompt and they were very helpful!

Girls Trip

We stayed for a girls weekend, 7 women. The location is great! The condo itself was a bit outdated. The pillows were horrible, no additional pillows or blankets provided. They provided minimal supplies such as TP, paper towels, only 1 garbage bag. The code for the pool gate changes and with no communication so we had to wait to get let back in from the beach. Will not choose this condo, unfortunately.

Great place, great view

We did enjoy our stay here Amelia by the Sea. Visiting the area for the first time and not knowing much about the area, it did have a lot of beach charm. The condo we were in seemed upgraded and had some nice features, but had a few minor maintenance issues. We didn't ask to have things done but am sure they would have been dealt with right away. Overall, a very relaxing and nice place to stay at.

Memorial Day Weekend 2017

On Memorial Day weekend my husband & I take our two grown sons & their families to a different location. This year Amelia Island was our destination. We were very pleased with our accommodations on behalf that our two granddaughters under the age of 2 were with us. Your condo was an easy access to the beach and the rooms were big enough to set up a "pack & play" for them to sleep in. The only complain I would have is that there were not enough towels for a 3 bedroom/2 bath unit. However I would consider this condo a "redo" for our family.

Safe, beautiful beachfront lication

The property was very easy to navigate. The location was right on the ocean, with a private pool, private boardwalk to the beach and private large fishing pier. It kept it feeling very family friendly and we could always find a spot on the beach, very close to our boardwalk. This made it easy to run back and forth to the room. There were private tennis ball and pickleball courts (bring your own equipment). Parking was provided. There is a fun restaurant directly across the street and then another about 1/3 or 1/2 mile away. People respected quiet hours. We cooked in the room for our family group several times and found everything we needed.

Far From Good

The location of the property was good. However, the condo smelled musty, the toilet paper holder in the master bath was broken, there were scraps (8 feet in length) along the wall where the backs of chairs rubbed, the plaster on the ceiling was chipping off and the lounge chairs at the pool were missing supports so you fell through the holes when you sat down. We will not stay at this property again. It was too run down. Management needs to be more diligent in the upkeep of the condo and the overall property.

TV's in rooms did not work. one without a tv

We got the 3rd BR TV working by working on the cabling that was loose and replacing the batteries, but the master TV will only show one channel. The office could not help. The 2nd BR has no tv. When you are staying as a group of adults tv's in ea rooms help and that was somethng we were told this unit had. Beds are very firm so be prepared. Other than that the unit is very nice and we love Amelia by the Sea and the pier

Very nice condo

The condo was overall in really good shape. The Carpet in the master bedroom had a number of really big dirty spots and just needed replacing. The master bath shower door was really dirty with either dirt or mold. I think it just needs to be cleaned really well and the door to the shower replaced or deep cleaned. Neither sliding doors would lock. This was not a good situation with a 3 year old. Need to fix them. The rest of the condo was in excellent condition and we really enjoyed our stay

The location was great. This particular condo could use some TLC in certain areas.

Check in was at 4 pm but manager was not available to give us entry. Finally at 4:30 someone showed up with the keys. She was just the messenger and could not give us answers. There was only one parking card although two were promised. We were able to get a loaner from the Amelia by the Sea office (Marie was a great help). The living room, kitchen and bathrooms were updated and fine, except for the covers on all the sofas. All bedrooms could use upgrades. There were very few places to store clothes. Two closets were packed with furniture, bedding, etc. no racks for suitcases. We loved the balcony and spent lots of time enjoying the view. Thanks for having enough chairs! The location was great and we will definitely come back to Amelia but not this condo. Manager promised a restaurant gift card to make up for our having to wait half an hour for someone to show up but she never delivered on the promise. When asked about how to get keys back to her at checkout, her reply was “I don’t work on weekends even though our reservation was from Saturday to Saturday! We suggested that we just leave the keys in the condo and lock the door, which she agreed to. With some TLC and better management, this condo is ideal!

Potential to be great

The Amelia by the Sea facility was neat in that - although its exterior looks a little beat up - it has a very nice, clean pool; great beach access & views; nice tennis courts; is relatively secured, and - the cherry on top - is the private fishing pier. That was what made the trip for our family. In terms of the actual condo, it wasn't that it wasn't nice - it had a well equipped kitchen and nice furnishings, but it was the first time I have felt compelled, on vacation, to wash the floor. The owner had obviously had it cleaned, but they probably just need to get a new cleaning crew. After we settled into the condo that first night, I sat down and was surprised at how dirty the bottom of my feet were - and some of my kids. I looked more closely at the floor, and realized that it looked like it had been washed...but with dirty water. I'm not a super neat freak, but after that, I was just kind of on edge, which isn't a fun feeling when you're staying someplace. Not only did I go over the tile with cleaner, but I ended up running the vacuum too, and that also pulled up a fair amount. If this owner got a new cleaning crew and gave the place a deep, overall cleaning, it could be 4 star. The insult to injury was that the washing machine wasn't working (tho they did respond very promptly in trying (tho unsuccessfully before our departure) to get it repaired for us) and the showers needed some attention (2 re-grouts and the master shower-head was partly broken)...I know this starts to sound negative, but we DID have a nice time here - just wished it had been cleaner and that everything had been in working order.

Wonderful time, minor concerns

The location of the condo was fantastic! We enjoyed the view from the large balcony and utilized it every day and long into the night. Pool, pier and grounds were wonderful. The condo is spacious and the couch is very comfortable. The renovated bathrooms were lovely. However, we did have a few concerns. The communication between the owner, manager and renter was not as smooth as I have experienced in the past with the many VRBO rentals we have used. I had questions regarding the condo condition prior to our arrival which were not answered via email message as expected and we never heard from the owner after confirming the reservation in January. No phone contact for owner was available. The check in process was not clearly defined and not what we were told. We lacked confidence in it when we were told the keys would be left by the housekeeping staff in the drop box. After discussing this with the manager, we discovered that she was going to be out of town but did not tell us who to contact in case of problems until we asked. Thankfully we were able to get in the condo as instructed. There are some lighting issues in the condo. The kitchen ceiling light has a short in it or something because it may or may not come on. The light over the dining room table does not have a switch that we could find, you had to plug it in the outlet when you wanted to turn it on. Lightbulbs were available but the problems above were not corrected by lightbulb changes. TV instructions would be helpful. Note each bedroom does not have a TV as the condo description describes. It does say this under the entertainment part however. The condo is in need of painting but this is just aesthetics. There are no available cabinets to put food in, however the counter is large and we just placed everything out on the counter. The above issues did not hamper our wonderful vacation. As some of the concerns were mentioned in previous reviews, I feel they should be addressed by the owner/manager and this is why I detailed them here.

Wonderful stay!!

This property was very peaceful and a nice break from everyday life. Wonderful view of the ocean and close to everything. Nice restaurant across the street.
