“For my part, I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel’s sake. The great affair is to move.” -Robert Louis Stevenson
Great location and ideal setup for one or two travelers seeking a home base for exploration of the area! Excellent value! Privacy A. Shower/bath A. Bed A- only because the mattress extends slightly beyond the frame, meaning you might opt for a different location if two larger-than-average individuals are sharing a bed. Kitchenette also gets an A for its perfectly functional fridge and microwave. Coffee maker left a little to be desired, but there are plenty of places nearby to grab some coffee. Cleanliness and ambience, amenities: A. Host hospitality: A. This place is a real find. We will definitely stay here again if we have reason to return to Alexandria!
This property is listed as having a kitchen. Upon arrival, we discovered there was only a sink, fridge and microwave. We had planned on cooking meals and couldn’t, so we spent more dining out than we had planned. You have to dig deeper into the description to see it’s only a kitchenette—-and it’s barely that. The inside of the apartment was clean. The outside was not. It looked very trashy walking up to the door. The bed was terrible for two people. It may be ok for one, but two feels like a hammock. Will definitely not stay here again. Host was friendly.
Cris was a terrific host!! Very sweet and welcoming. The apartment was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, the heat/AC worked perfectly, the shower pressure was fantastic--I couldn't ask for better accommodations! Highest recommendation.
The apartment was cute and very clean. It was just right for 2 adults. We found Corta Coffee and breakfast nearby. We went there every morning. It was an easy drive to the Metro and Old Town Alexandria. I would definitely come back to this VRBO!
Property was easy to find with plenty of street parking. Photos are accurate. Host is VERY responsive. Good option for short stays, weekend, business trip.
Nice property. Liked the peacefulness and quiet neighborhood. The only complaint is did not like last minute communication I want to be aware of no issues a little sooner. Overall great place would stay again.

Thank you for your feedback, Angela. I'll adjust the system notifications. As I explained, the system sends messages the day before. That has been enough for most, but I understand you wanting to plan.
Safe travels, all the best, thanks for your stay!
This was a great location with a lot of space. Enjoyed all the amenities provided. Bug fridge, nice closet, work desk, and plenty of space for moving around. Easy to find parking on the street as well. Will definitely be back.

Dirty
The property manager should have did a walk through before renting out the property the property smelled musty and bad cobwebs on the bedroom wall giant flying gnats all around the house and every morning ants are out in the kitchen the shower was filthy grout was dirty and moldy shower door is moldy too . I should have known this was going to be bad because the walkway was unkept. Save your money and go elsewhere please 🙏. I have pictures to show you how filthy it was
Our most excellent host, Cris, was helpful from the moment we first reserved the property to the last. Great communication. Just like the pictures, even better in person. Instructions were easy to understand, everything we needed was provided, plenty of clean towels, bedding. Many outlets throughout including USBs to plug in electronics. The shower has strong flow, hot! cute, homey decor, small touches noticeable throughout. And the location was perfect! We used public transportation and the access to bus lines just a block away that quickly and frequently took us to the Metro rail just ten minutes away was easy and convenient, taking us all over metro-DC area. Supermarkets are near enough to walk to, but the buses made it easier when carrying the cases of bottled water (I'm sure Alexandria tap water is fine, but we're particular). The only thing we were missing was a toaster oven and a single hot plate burner to be able to prepare warm bites. But I'm sure there's a fire risk to those that our host doesn't want to take on, insurance liability and all. But a Keurig-style coffeemaker and hot water maker are provided. And Old Town Alexandria is wonderful, great dining options, historic and vibrant look and feel. Highly recommend. Thank you Cris, we'll be back next time through!
My reservation was for a week. Couldn’t have found a better rental. It truly is warm and cozy. Nice neighborhood and close to, literally, everything within a 10-min drive. Comfy bed. Extra blanket and pillows. Couple of different options for brewing coffee. Large kettle. The W/D great for a week’s stay. Down to the fresh dish sponge in the kitchen. Little details that I appreciate.Cris is quick to respond, and always ready to take action. I noted a lack of lighting at the entry door; in five minutes she was changing the bulb! She’s the host we all want when we’re traveling. Thanks, Cris. I def would stay here again.
I was in the DC area to attend a relative’s funeral at Arlington National Cemetery and spend time with my extended family. This unit was clean and comfortable and was convenient to Arlington , to restaurants, and to the Metro. I would stay here again.
Place was nice and clean. All the amenities you need for a 1-4 day stay. Parking is on the street and plentiful. The neighbors a/c was kinda loud the first night but I went out to it and diagnosed it and quieted it down. Neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors seemed super nice. Close to nice places to eat and Starbucks. What more can someone want. We were apprehensive about Tempo restaurant right up the street but do yourself a favor and eat there. Thanks for the stay.
The location worked out well to travel in and out of DC for our two days of sightseeing. The neighborhood seemed great. We enjoyed eating out in Old Town both evenings. Free parking on the street was nice benefit also.
