Loved the location, walking distance to everything we need. The house was in great shape, fully stocked and clean, with comfy beds. We would stay again
Overall, we had a good stay and found the home to be largely as advertised. The four-bedroom layout worked well for our group, and the house was stocked with everything we needed to cook meals and comfortably host about eight people. The highlight of the property was definitely the living area, which provided a great gathering space for our group. Communication with the host was also easy and responsive throughout our stay. That said, there were a few issues that kept the experience from matching the nightly price point. When we arrived, the gas had been shut off, leaving us without hot water for the first few hours of our stay. One of the toilets was also not functioning properly. While these issues were promptly addressed, they made for a less-than-ideal arrival experience. The home itself could benefit from some updating and replacement of worn items. The mattresses were quite uncomfortable, and many of the linens felt very worn and threadbare. While the house appeared clean, it felt more “just clean enough” than truly well-maintained. Beach equipment was provided, which we appreciated, but we chose not to use it because there were only a few chairs available and much of the equipment appeared heavily sun-faded from age and use.Overall, the property met our basic needs and offered plenty of space for a larger group, but some attention to maintenance and replacing worn furnishings would go a long way toward making the home feel more in line with its price.
We have stayed here for 3 years during our son's lacrosse tournament in January. It's a great place because the location can't be beat...close to everything and walkable to the fields. LOVE THIS HOUSE! P.S. if you make it dog friendly, we'll rent it throughout the year! THAT's how much we love this property!
This gorgeous house is in the perfect location on a non-driving street in the center of everything. The grocery store is very close, and whether you're golfing, beaching or. exploring, your starting point is in the center of it all. The house was super clean, smelled great and very well kept. We were there for a lacrosse tournament and had the team over for meetings and snacks and the living area hosted the whole team perfectly. Highly recommend and hope to be back!

Great street, convenient location
We loved the house...it's conveniently located on a great street. House was clean with everything we needed. Our only complaint was the incredibly uncomfortable master bedroom bed. My husband opted to sleep on couch and I ended up leaving a day early because my back was a mess after 3 nights on that bed. The house was perfect...the bed upstairs not so much...
This house is lovely. The remodel is nicely done and it felt very homey. The kitchen was very well-stocked with spices, pots and pans and plenty of utensils and cutlery. The location is perfect: half a block to Von’s and an easy 7 minute walk to Front Street, restaurants, shops and the beach. We had 6 people staying at the house and it still felt roomy. The house is located on Eucalyptus which is closed to cars. We set up the cornhole in the middle of the street and my 90 year old mom had a wonderful time playing with her great grandchildren. Quiet location. Overall a wonderful place to stay.
The location of the home is extremely convenient (a short walk to practically anything: the beach, snorkeling, restaurants, the market, mini golf). The house is set up comfortably with everything you need. We went to the market right up the street and got the basics for breakfasts and lunches, and the kitchen was fully stocked with all the essential kitchen items needed to make our meals, and ground coffee already in the cupboard for our mornings. For dinners, we had a wide variety of restaurants just a short walk from the house. The house was clean, the bathrooms and bedrooms were comfortable, had plenty of outlets, and the host provided hairdryers, several beach towels, and the check/in-check-out process was made very easy. I highly recommend using Avalon Blue Line Baggage (a one minute walk from the ferry, and they stored our luggage before we were able to check in, delivered the luggage right up the street of the house, and they also picked up the luggage to store it after we checked out). This is a great option to store your luggage if you arrive on the island before check-in time, or if you are leaving the island a while after check-out - which was our case because we arrived early and left late and did a lot of activities during our three days there: golf cart tour of the island, mini golf, snorkeling, aerial adventure obstacle course, zipline, glass bottom boat, Descanso beach club, 3 palms arcade & bowling, escape room, beach hangouts. Entire family loved this house!

Beds hard as rocks, late arrival fee for showing up at 5!
The place is a good place to crash, not really any reason to hang out inside in Catalina. But sleeping on the hard rock bed upstairs with sunlight pouring in at 6 am doesn’t make for the most restful sleep. I would have dealt with this but arriving at 5:25 PM, I had to pay a late payment fee! Total BS when there’s only 2-3 ferry’s per day. It’s called key locks people, you put a key inside a lock and you give someone the keycode. REALLY simple. Or if you want to get fancy you could actually have a combination lock you change ever so often...

August 2018 Stay
For the past 6 years we spend 4-5 days in Catalina each summer with our children, which are now young adults. This is our first time at this property and we really liked it, though we have liked all of the properties we have stayed at for various reasons. The property was recently remodeled and was clean and fresh. It was nice to have the washing machine to wash the towels midway through the stay.
We would definitely book this one again if available.

Absolutely great. Would rent again. Only changes recommended are larger TV in common area and add a golf cart.

Perfect size
We had a wonderful stay at this home. It was perfect for our family. So many homes claim to "sleep 6 or 8" and they involve a common room sleeper sofa. This home had beds for 8. Comfortable space for everyone.

Beautiful updated home in a prime location
This is a great house; clean, modern and big!! Love that it's on a street closed to cars and golf carts. Had games, puzzles, dvd players, lots of kitchen supplies and fans in each room. Overall we had a great time at the house, only negative, and maybe because we came late in the season, was upstairs carpet looked stained and spotted . But, we will definitely come back next summer!!
