We had a great time in Ruidoso with another couple and absolutely loved the community and location! The reservation process was easy, and check-in/check-out were seamless. Ruidoso did not disappoint—we enjoyed hiking around Grindstone Lake, shopping the quaint little town, and making the trip to Cloudcroft for some ATV trail riding. The weather was perfect! We were pretty disappointed that there wasn’t really any comfortable space to sit and enjoy that gorgeous weather. There was a high-top metal table and chairs, but not exactly the “sit back, relax, and sip your coffee while enjoying the view” situation we were hoping for.The furnishings and supplies were very bare minimum. We’ve stayed in quite a few rentals, and we’ve never encountered one quite this minimally stocked. Kitchen cookware and basic supplies were especially limited. The beds and pillows were also pretty subpar. That said, the location and community were great, and we really enjoyed our time in Ruidoso. With a little more attention to the furnishings, kitchen supplies, outdoor seating, and bedding, this could be a much more comfortable and enjoyable stay.
