Casa Grey, pon tus pies en el agua, trasero en la arena, ¡relájate en la hamaca! ¡El Paraíso te espera!

Tres habitaciones con sus propios baños privados y vistas de las brillantes aguas turquesa del Caribe. Las dos habitaciones de arriba tienen pequeños balcones para dos para ver la playa o el amanecer. Cada habitación tiene un aire acondicionado controlado individualmente.
Más casita de 2 dormitorios en la entrada de la casa, haciendo 5 dormitorios en total. Si tiene un grupo más pequeño, la casita no se alquilará a nadie más durante su estancia.

Una cocina bien equipada en la que puede preparar una comida casera y como beneficio adicional, la mucama lavará los platos por la mañana, de lunes a sábado.
Si desea salir a cenar, también hay muchos restaurantes nativos en 15 minutos. Hay puestos de fruta fresca en cada pequeña ciudad, especialmente Akumal y Tulum.

La sala de estar está diseñada para una agradable velada familiar con un centro de entretenimiento que cuenta con libros, juegos, películas y videojuegos (Nintendo N64).

Otras actividades:
Para los amantes de la naturaleza, si usted baja entre mayo y octubre, puede ser testigo de los hábitos de anidación y eclosión de tortugas bobas y tortugas verdes en nuestras playas. Estas tortugas pueden llegar hasta 500 libras.

wonderful week

This villa is in a wonderful location with beachfront and small pool. We did various local activities, cenotes, diving, XCarete eco park, caves. The house care person Jose was indeed helpful. In all, were 6 persons who spent a wonderful active week. Thank you.

Great getaway

Property is old, but serves its purpose and is on a beautiful stretch of beach with beautiful views in a great location. Centrally located with short drives to Tulum and playa del Carmen if Looking to explore outside of Akumal. No paddle for kayak. No bar with swings. No hammock. We did enjoy our stay and had a wonderful vacation

Great Location

I said with my friends for a birthday trip. The house was clean, well stocked, and the location was ideal. We rented a car, and it made it much easier to get around. Jose was an amazing host. He cooked amazing meals for us, and was warm and friendly with each interaction. The booking was easy to do. Maria was so super helpful with the booking, including booking transportation from the airport, and ensuring Jose was able to act as a chef for a couple days. They all made this trip super special, and enjoyable. The girls and I have decided to make this a yearly trip it was so much fun. No complaints at all. Only a great experience.

A Lovely Time!

The rooms were very comfortable and gratefully had AC, though we spent most of our time outside. Going in July was very hot, but really fun since it was quieter and turtle egg season. The house manager, Jose, was very helpful and a great extra set of hands since we didn't have a car. We hired a chef who was incredible-Adriana, we are missing your food!!! The house is close to everything we wanted to do, and was nice to be away from the bustle of Tulum. Highly recommend :)

Talk about LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. Beautiful beach and snorkel till you can't snorkel anymore. Caretaker Jose was the best. He even made us homemade guacamole. The beach house and casita fit our family's needs perfectly. As Arnold Schwarzenegger would say. We'll be back!!Thank you Casa Gray.

Wonderful family vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house a guest house was perfect for a family of nine adults and 3 small children. The beach was perfect with soft sand and great snorkeling. The housekeeper Jose was extremely attentive and brought ice when required as well as keeping the houses clean daily. We had a couple small,problems with the refrigerator, which Jose did fix but we did loose some perishables until that was done. Also we had some heavy rain and there was a couple of leaks. The rental company was quick to assist with reimbursement of one nights rent due to this inconvenience. On the whole I would recommend but make sure you get groceries before you arrive as the supermarket is about 20 minutes drive away and no close convenient stores. We used the colectivos to get into tulum and visit a local cenote as taxis are very expensive.

Jose’s cooking was out of this world! A few tips for staying: you don’t need to bring anything!!! They provide jugs of water, they have yeti cups for the beach, koozies, games, shampoo/cond. I would also highly recommend using the grocery service available to have everything ready when you get there. Overall is such a great place for both a family vacation or an adult get away! We would definitely go back.

The property is fairly updated (but still with some authentic charm) and provided all the amenities we needed. We had an issue the first night with AC and the TV and it was promptly fixed the next day. It poured the second day we were there and we didn't notice any leaking, the rooms were dry.Jose was always so helpful and the meal he cooked for us was amazing (I wish we had him do more). It was so nice having them come in daily to clean as no matter how hard we tried, sand got tracked in.It was such a beautiful property and was really great with kids (3 under 5). You can snorkel right off the beach - they have masks and flippers there. Some day's the ocean was very rough, but we just walked up the beach a bit to find a calmer spot. It was quiet and private and just amazing. My only complaint is the road going in is SOOOOOOOOOOOO bumpy.. but that is out of their control

Trip with friends was amazing!

Loved our stay at Casa Gray! Everything was very smooth with check in and check out. Manager was very prompt and was very helpful! Helped us with last minute transportation when our shuttle was stuck in heavy traffic due to accident. Loved being able to snorkel right in front of the house. The beach bikini bar is a couple houses away with good food and drinks. Private bathrooms for all the rooms was nice for our group. Night time security was always there patrolling the property. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed except shot glasses. House was nice and clean everyday! Beach was beautiful even despite the seaweed that came in as we arrived. Only thing I would like to have known was that they provided water because we stopped on our way and wasted money on quite a few jugs. Also they need outdoor lighting. Thank you casa gray for our amazing stay!

The local beach bar only a few houses down was inexpensive and greta food.Jose and his wife kept the house clean and ready for us everyday. We had three in our party test positive for COVID and had to extend our stay. The team at Akumal Villas and Rhett we super helpful and understanding. They allowed us to remain as it was not booked. Having the guest house was the life saver as it allowed the negative people to remain away and isolated while providing the things needed for the others in quarantine. They had no sumptuous whatsoever. The guidance by Akumal Villas staff for testing centers was perfect. They truly went out of their way to help us and assure us a place to stay.

Great Family Getaway!

We had a wonderful family getaway at Casa Gray with our group of eight. The house exceeded our expectations and looked even better than the pictures. The location was ideal, situated on a quieter part of the beach with calmer waves. Both the main house and the neighboring casita offered plenty of space, and the bedrooms were very comfortable. The pool provided a fantastic escape from the warm weather. The main house kitchen was well-equipped with all the tools needed to prepare large family meals. Our only issue was that the barbecue wasn’t working, which would have been useful since the main living room and kitchen lacked AC. However, we managed well with the ocean breeze and the excellent AC in the bedrooms. Jose and Marisol, the caretakers, were at the house daily to keep everything clean and provided fresh linens and towels. Jose also prepared a delicious authentic Mexican dinner for us one night, which we highly recommend—it was reasonably priced too. Martina from Akumal Vacations made the booking, check-in, and car rental process seamless. We were especially glad we booked our car through Akumal Vacations due to the prevalence of car rental scams in Cancun. Choosing Casa Gray for our special vacation this year was a great decision, and our only regret was not booking a longer stay!

Hidden Gem

We stayed at this property for Spring Break and it was everything we dreamt of! There was plenty of room for everyone (we were 4 adults and two young kids). We loved having our own pool, own beach area, and a spot where we could snorkel right off of our beach and actually saw a lot of cool fish and other creatures. It was a quick easy drive to Akumal for restaurants, groceries or snorkeling with sea turtles. We also went to the Jungle side of Akumal one day to see the murals. The personal reception from Rhett and Jose was a special touch. Rhett was also only a WhatsApp message away if we needed him. We loved being able to walk down the beach to a couple restaurants. We had Jose cook for us a couple times as well, which was such a treat. Just make sure if you have him cook for you, do it earlier in the trip so you have time to eat all the leftovers because he made PLENTY of food! Avoid buying groceries at the beach side in Akumal if you can, there is the general store there, but holy moly! Either use the grocery service or go out to the Chedraui. This location was convenient to Tulum and Playa del Carmen as well. Overall highly recommend! It sounds like they are constantly making improvements, so I can't wait to go back next time!

The beach is nice and the water is beautiful. There is a little restaurant/bar, The Beached Bikini, right down the beach which was handy. Jose and Marisol, who came in every morning were very nice and helpful. They cleaned and did necessary maintenance. The two houses are nice enough but old and need some updates. The shower head in one of the main house bathrooms malfunctioned every other day and Jose had to fix it. The water in the showers and the kitchen sink would go from scalding hot to freezing with no warning. Jose tried to fix it but could not. The pool is in an odd position and getting around it to go to the beach is awkward. The WiFi did not work. The house description says 3 king beds in the main house and there is really only one king and two queens. The property is on the market so probably will not get better until it is sold. I would recommend staying there for the location if you are willing to put up with a few inconveniences.

Quiet and beautiful beach property in Akumal

First off, Jose was there every day to take care of the pool and house. He made us homemade guacamole and pico de gallo salsa as a "welcome" treat. The house was very comfortable. Since it was only 5 of us, we did not use the casita, but we checked it out, and it looked very nice. The beach was clean and beautiful. The house sits in a protected bay; we snorkeled every day. We also used the kayak. It was a precious way to start the day. We purchased groceries from the local stores (Aki and Chedraui) and made our own breakfast and lunch every day. We slept really well because each bedroom has an A/C, which is wonderful. Each bedroom had its own en-suite bathroom, which was really perfect. The beds were super comfortable also. We swam in the beautiful pool and ocean every day - what a dream. One night, our last night, a sea turtle laid its eggs in front of our house. The turtle caretakers marked it off with the date. Although we didn't see the turtle, it made us very happy to be a part of the conservation program they have on that beach. We made it to a number of nice restaurants in Tulum and Akumal. My daughters and I enjoyed visiting the nearby cenotes (we went to around five of them). We also went to the Coba ruins, and rode bikes. Since we were all girls, it was nice to have a security guard at night, even though it didn't seem necessary. The house, amenities, beach, Jose and Maribel, Tulum, Akumal, and Coba were the BEST!

Beachfront villa

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been renting villas once a year for our annual family trip (5 adults and 3 kids - 1.5y, 3y and 5y). This house was great since it was right on the beach and had a pool and enough bedrooms for everyone. The owner/manager came to see up shortly after arriving and gave us very helpful information, he was also very responsive and very nice. Jose, the caretaker is a gem, very very nice and is always there to help anyway he can. THE PROPERTYWhile the house is fully equipped and offers all you may need to make yourself comfortable, there are a few elements that I would like to point out for the readers appreciation, the A/Cs units are only located in the bedrooms therefore none in the family room but if you open the sliding doors a beautiful draft comes in and cools down the area nicely. The smaller house is located at the front of the property therefore does not have any beach access and during the entire duration (despite opening the windows and putting the fans on) there was a sewage smell in the house. The toilets required many tried to fully evacuate. The pool is very close to the house therefore if you have any young kids like us make sure you keep the doors locked or they only leave the house with floaties. The beach is great, no rock which was one of the main reason why we booked this place versus our last which was in Akumal. The only downfall is that there were lots of waves which brought LOTS of seaweeds and it was never cleaned for us. LOCATIONThe location is only great because of the condition of the beach. There are two resorts and one small restaurant around. If you are looking to stay in the villa and be on the beach and not go anywhere during your stay then this would not affect you. However, the road to access the property is in TERRIBLE CONDITION some of us even had to exit the car and walk it (600m)because the holes are so bad. At night we missed the area e

The roof leaks everywhere. If it doesnt rain youre fine. If it does youll have towels in the floor, upstairs bedroom, kitchen counter. The owners know this. They told us if we wanted to rent again next year it would be remodeled. So they get you to rent it knowing it leaks because they dont want to fix it now. The upstairs bed got wet from the leak and the solution was to move to casita, or just move bed and change linens. We found a 4 inch spider in the casita, so no. Upon telling the owner about the spider he replied, "well you are in the jungle." Kitchen stove does not work well. Have to manually light most burners and oven. Coffee pot display broken and wont shut off by itself. I was told there was a gas grill so we showed up w no charcoal. Jose brought literal charcoal on request - burnt wood bits. No lighter fluid, so I used cooking oil and a lighter from the kitchen. Took a while but made it. Jose said a gas grill broke and cost 10k pesos and a charcoal grill cost 2k. There you go. There are blankets above the living room door to keep raccoons out. Things out back arent put away. Linens are only changed on request. We had some used towels hung back up from the floor by housekeeping. The beach is very nice but it was never raked, however the house next door was. I raked it halfway through our stay. Pool needed cleaned when we arrived. Not bad but not what you want to see on arrival. There is good snorkeling there, and close compare

Life can be a beach!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had three generations during Christmas break vacation. The location of this house worked out well. We have stayed in Akumal Aventuras before. Although, if you want to go to Akumal you really have to go out to the highway to drive. Akumal has blown up, so overwhelmed by tourism (it was Xmas vacation). We were here the first time 30 years ago, so we have seen the radical changes. This was our 4th visit (probably last). It was great to have our own beach and pool. The house was located and set up to enjoy being at the beach. The house is nothing fancy. It is older and really a beach house. Three bedrooms in the house facing the beach. The one downstairs bedroom opens up with glass doors into the family room. Of so private. Minimum sized bathrooms nice breezes so we never used the A/C. The two bedrooms in the casita are closer to the road, but are quiet and spacious. It is actually a second unit. Full kitchen. Nice bathrooms. It is not decorated, quite spare in fact. Clean and modern. Rhett met us the first day and did a thorough and helpful orientation. We didn’t need anything so that was our only contact. We did have raccoons come Iino the house through an open window atnight and tearing the screen. No bugs to speak of and few mosquitoes. Excellent. It would be nice to have access to the washer and dryer. Jose, who does maintenance doesn’t work Sundays, or New Year’s Day and another day the washer had to be replaced. We were getting pretty grimy after a full week. All in all everyone was happy with the house and location. I paid the bill. It was Christmas vacation, but $1,600 a night is hard to swallow. Mexico’s cost of living has blown up. It must be very difficult for the locals. Makes Hawaii look relatively more affordable.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second visit to Casa Gray and it was just as great as we remembered. Start with the location. The house sits directly on a beautiful, uncrowded beach. The water is fantastic and when you want a break from the ocean, there is a great little pool. The house is nice and has everything you need. It's a little older and not fancy, but super comfortable. We were seven people (two couples and three kids) and only used the main house. It was just right. A bigger group could also use the casita for more space. The manager was very accessible and helpful, quickly addressing questions of all kinds. One of the best parts of staying at Casa Gray is the caretaker Jose and his wife Merisol. They do a great job keeping the house in shape during the stay. I would also recommend hiring Jose to help with cooking. He prepared several breakfasts and dinners for our party. Delicious, reasonable prices and he's just a delightful person. The only thing to note about Casa Gray is there is really only one dining/drinking option within walking distance. The nearby resorts are all inclusive and not accessible. The one place that is there is the Beached Bikini Bar. It's about 100 feet down the beach and is the kind of beach bar you hope to find, but rarely do. It's no frills, but it is literally right on the beach with good food and drinks and a nice staff. We went there several times. Just be aware that they're cash only so bring your pesos or US dollars. I recommend Casa Gray to any group who wants a simpler experience on the Mayan Riviera.

Walking through the house and taking in the view for the first time was breathtaking.The house itself is very nice, but I wouldn't call it fancy or luxurious. It's comfortable, clean and homey. It feels like it belongs in its place, which we all found really refreshing in this age of mega houses on the sea shore. Everything works and the house is really well equipped if you're planning to do some or all of your own cooking. Regarding cooking, we contracted with Jose, the house's caretaker, to cook several breakfasts and dinners. Best decision ever. It was affordable and made the experience so much nicer, plus it was delicious. Jose was wonderful in all respects. He and his wife Marisol kept the house and grounds in great shape even as our party of seven traipsed in and out of the house from the beach countless times each day.Akumal Properties made the whole experience a breeze and managed our stay very professionally - they were there when we needed them - very responsive to question both about the house and staying in the area in general.Finally, we spent most of our time in Akumal going from pool to beach, back to pool and then the beach again. It was too nice to leave for the most part. We often ventured two doors down the beach to the Beached Bikini Bar, which was our only dining and drinking out destination. It's super low key, good food, not too expensive and exactly the type of beach bar we hope to find on a trip like this but so seldom do. Make sure you try it and bring cash - they don't take cards.We loved our stay and hope to come back again soon. Missing it already.
