Our pre-Labor Day vacation 2024

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time at The Islander. Weather was perfect. Kendall was very helpful and friendly. Alan Tanner on the beach did a terrific job. And Todd was great to talk to.I would suggest giving out the VIP card when people arrive. Their seemed to be some confusion on whether they were available (someone said they no longer were giving them out). Another said there was a code # on the website (there was none). Finally Kendall came through when I asked her about the VIP card.The furnace filter in our condo needed to be changed but otherwise the condo was clean. I might also suggest that a TV Channel page be included in the folder that's in the room. Plus I had to reboot the cable box to get it to work.

Only thing I would have liked was a Kuerig coffee maker. I am the only person who drinks coffee and usually just have one cup in the morning.

This was a nice condo

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My stay at the Islander was comfortable with easy access to the beach. The grounds and pool areas are beautifully kept which made for a nice view including passing boats in the distance. This room does not have a beach view which is in the description. The condo was nice with only a few minor complaints. The ceiling fan in the main BR was un-usable due to it being very noisy, the main bathroom has an outlet that comes out of the wall when unplugging, and the floors needed a good mopping. Everything else about the room was well maintained, fresh, and clean. I would recommend this room with the issues addressed.

Our 1st Family beach trip🏝️

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location to be close to the beach! About a 5 min walk from the main lobby to the beach front! I’d suggest an all terrain wagon for long days at the beach, but otherwise just carry what you can bc the wagon still drags in sand. The facility is clean and has two pools. Only wish check out was at noon vs ten. No on site restaurant or convenience store, make sure you have what you need if you don’t want to leave the condo.

Perfect location for relaxation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was clean and had everything we needed. The grills were perfect for the evenings we didn’t want to leave to grab dinner. The main bed was comfortable and clean, the pillows could use a refresh. We walked the beach down to the Jetty each morning and evening and saw hundreds of dolphins each day. The amenities made our vacation. The kids enjoyed shuffle board, basketball, pickle ball and both pools. We had a great experience.

Girls weekend

4 ladies and a 4yo. Just came to chill at the beach for a few days. Love the spot. View was spectacular!! Had lovely sunsets to watch, beach access was quite close and room was great. Weather was nice sand was white and the water was wonderful! Even got to see marine life while swimming...so cool

Great Memorial Day Weekend

We had a great stay at this property. The location was great and it was super easy to get to the beach. The pools were nice. They even had a movie night for the kids at the pool.

Clean and comfortable!

Our unit was well-used but very clean and very comfortable. The beds and couch were much more comfortable than any hotel I’ve stayed in. The balcony gives you three different water views. This unit was also well stocked with all kitchen equipment and an ice maker. The walk to the beach is much shorter than the pictures make it look (about 5 minutes from lobby) and we were able to easily use a wheel chair on the beach ramp. I would absolutely stay here again!

Be Careful what you buy

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We did this as a family vacation all over 21. They use big words to leer you in but what you actually get is mah condo. Tiki bar is not there beach service is not there. They don't enforce the no drinking in the pool areas and the pools are so small. At last, you have to walk through another condo's property to get to the beach. I overpaid for a week that is for dang sure. The condos just made this a horrible vacation for everyone in the party. I Will never use them again nor will I use VRBO to book with.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time despite Hurricane Ida's effect with the pounding waves, rain and wind. The condo was what we expected. Only problem was the dishwasher wouldn't fully drain. Even after your repair man worked with it, it wouldn't fully drain. Kendall and the staff were helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the guitar entertainment by the pool too.

View was OK and hot, STRONG smell of Febreze and not clean

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at the Islander many times before and it feels like home because it’s always been beautifully decorated and clean.Due to availability this trip we stayed in 3 different units, but the first time staying in a gold unit and in the west view.Check out 10AM, check in 3pm, the front desk called and said to stay put in our second unit and they would move up the cleaning so we could move directly into unit 315. they didn't give us an ETA.We waited until 11:30 and checked out because we were meeting someone for lunch, they said they would call us when it was ready. 4:30pm-no call, we went back to Islander with several guests trying to check in. They were having trouble making guest keys. They opened unit 315 up, but we had no keys and they have to let us in again if we left. We received keys around 6:30pm and the lobby was still crowded and had to wait in line again.The whole unit smelled so strong of Febreze you could almost taste it, we’ve been back home 2 days and I can still smell it in my CPAP machine when I put it on.The white round coffee table was filthy like people had been putting dirty feet on it (I have video), I went down to the lobby again and requested some cleaning supplies. She offered to come and clean it, but I wanted to clean all the surfaces kitchen/bathrooms/dining table, so I did it myself. The fabric couches/chairs/curtains/rug had stains on them and looked gross.The showers were 4” white tile around a tub and the grout was dirty in bathrooms.There was sand/dust on the foot board of the bed. Louvered doors to the AC/water heater were very dusty.The west view not nearly as nice as the east view and the balcony gets full sun from the afternoon on, so it’s too hot with very little breeze to sit out there. I was disappointed in the difference between a platinum and gold unit.
