Relaxing Stay

Stayed with friends and family for 3 days. Great view from lodge and hot tub. Signed up to do animal feeding with my 3 year old grandson. Damien was great. Met lots of animals and great excitement when we got an egg to take home that had been freshly laid by a hen. We then made eggy bread for breakfast.we ate one night in the Black Bull in Lauder about 15 minutes drive away. Good food .

Comfortable luxurious family farm stay

2nd time back at Airhouses with 2 young children. Enjoyed our time immensely. Quiet crisp air, space for all the jaunts. Children enjoyed the animals, feeding, and play barn - such a thoughtful feature to ensure the littles are catered for. Hot tub was luxurious, clean and very enjoyable in the chilly weather. Hosts were extremely kind and helpful. Appreciate the welcome gift very much.

Return Customer to The Lamont

This is our second stay at the The Lamont @ Airhouses (first was back in 2021) and we enjoyed this stay just as much as the first. The Lamont is clean, cosy and very comfortable, the view is stunning and location is so very peaceful. The walks around the farm and hillsides are great and of course all nice seeing all the animals too. Great that all rooms are ensuite and the wi-fi was great too (very important for the teenagers) :o)

Outstanding would highly recommend

Outstanding service from the beginning continual updates following the booking with link to the company app for additional extras to make your stay more personal. Lodges are excellent and spotlessly clean and well stocked with home comforts like outside BBQ, Nespresso machine, large TV and Bluetooth speaker and large hot tub, along with everyday cleaning products. Arrived late but directions provided bring you straight to the door, opening up the curtains in the morning and what a veiw, scenery is breaking and you won't need the TV, watching the outside ever changing and enjoying the large hot tub watching the stars is all you need. We took advantage of meeting and feeding the animals with Damian and meeting the ponies Elizabeth, our daughter how is autistic really enjoyed this and was the highlight of her holiday. Site provides a pop up coffee shop which is sent via text message to say when they are open and an honesty shop for food, snacks like cakes and ice-cream along with gift products. There is so much more we could share but best you see for yourself, we would highly recommend and can't wait to return ourselves.

Great location

We all had a great time at the Lamont. The setting was fantastic and the location was convenient for going to Edinburgh (we used Newcraighall P&R). Damian was very welcoming and informative and we loved seeing all the animals. The lodge was so comfortable and had everything we needed - it was lovely to come back to it at the end of every day. Thank you also for the welcome pack which was full of the most delicious local goodies. All in all we had the best time - thank you.

Just Wonderful

We have just arrived home after a wonderful break at Airhouses in the Lamont lodge. The lodge was immaculate and had everything we needed and more. The lodge had incredible views across the hills and was so peaceful. Our children loved the walks around the site and feeding and visiting the animals and our hosts were so friendly and helpful across our stay. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend staying here to others.

Amazing. Could not have asked for anything better. The view was stunning. Damien was very welcoming nothing was too much trouble. The animal's were friendly and well looked after, lovely to feed them every day. I definitely will go back.

Amazing stay at the Lamont

Myself and my family had a fabulous long weekend staying at the Lamont. It is a beautiful spacious lodge with fantastic views and was very clean with very comfy beds! The hot tub was amazing. We didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back.

My stay

The views were amazing. The meadow for dogs was secure . Walks around the site were all fenced off so secure for dogs. Kitchen had everything you need and more just wasted on me I can't cook. Bed was comfortable I loved the walk in shower. All animals were lovely I did not want to come home.

Our first stay in the lodges, and we'll be back again!

We've stayed in the smaller pods a couple of times, and love the peaceful nature of Airhouses. This time, we brought a friend with their young daughter as we *knew* that she'd love all of the animals, and so we moved up to a lodge. The Lamont is a great cabin, amazing views whether indoors or out, and Damian and Liffy (and Ollie the Collie) are an absolute delight. The kitchen is really well kitted out, beds are comfy, showers and bath had no issues with the amount of, or pressure of hot water, the barbecue was all set to go, internet access is speedy, and there's plenty of games and books in the event of a rainy day (this *is* the Borders, after all!). The shop on-site is always handy (we didn't need to use it this time, but I always like to take a peek at what's in there!), and the Easter Egg Trail was great fun for the little one. We did the full works - meet and greet with the animals (including some newly hatched chicks), the Marmalade experience (Marmalade being a pony who loves being groomed), and spent a silly amount of time in the hot tub. Already looking at when we can return!

Another wonderful stay !

We have stayed at Airhouses several times and this recent stay was another hit. The Lamont is very well equipped , and the hot tub is excellent to relax in after a day of exploring the area. There are walks and lots to explore on site, and a variety of animals to meet if you want to. We have no hesitation in recommending Airhouses for a stay.

A relaxing haven

We loved our time at the Lamont. It's a great size but still has a cosy feel. There was great communication with the owners throughout and everything was beautifully clean for our arrival. We loved feeding the animals and having a wander with a coffee from the cafe. The hot tub is fabulous and we all agreed its one of the biggest and well kept ones we have been in. It's my second time and I'll be back!

The base for a perfect holiday!

We have stayed at Airhouses 3 times already (twice in the Capercaillie and once in the Buchanan). This was our 4th stay and we chose the Lamont Lodge. I’m not joking when I say that this place takes your breath away. The views and surroundings are absolutely stunning and the Lamont is perfectly situated to admire this. The lodge itself is a fantastic size with 3 generous sized en-suite bedrooms, utility room (contains a fridge/freezer, Iron and washing machine) and open plan kitchen, dining and living room. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need for cooking (except the food of course ). Bed linen, towels, robes and hot tub towels are all provided so all you need to do is order your favourite supermarket shop delivery to arrive just after yourselves and you need not waste any time getting in the huge hot tub and admiring that beautiful view. The lodge was lovely and clean and our family of 5 had another cracking holiday. As this is an honest review, there are only 2 things I could nit pick about. Number 1 being the washing machine on spin literally makes the lodge at that end shake like crazy, it probably needs adjusting or something and number 2, is that the floors squeak when you walk across them. Not a problem during the day but if you have to get up in the night for a wee, it does disturb others. (Ideal though, if you have sneaky little children that are out of bed when they shouldn’t be ). There are quite a few animals on site: Pigs, Sheep, Donkeys, Goats, Chickens and Alpacas that we loved feeding. There is a little shop on site that sells animal feeds in bags so that they get the right kind of food. You can also buy drinks and food (for humans) which was actually really handy as some days you just want to relax and don’t want to go out to eat. The freezer was well stocked with meals that you literally just heat up in the oven. There is also a pop up coffee shop that they run on a few mornings each week. We didn’t get chance to go in as already had plans on those days but I’m sure it’s lovely. The managers and staff that we met were all very kind and helpful. Overall, we love this place and would not hesitate coming back. We have recommended Airhouses to all of our friends and family and pretty much, anyone else that will listen.

Another great stay

Relaxing Family Weekend

We have just spent another fabulous weekend at The Lamont. As always the accommodation was spotless and comfortable. Great location

Great location, beautiful countryside and lovely place to relax but also good to have Edinburgh and the coastline within easy reach for a day out. The lodge was very comfortable, with an extremely well equipped kitchen, spacious lounge area and comfortable bedrooms. Made to feel very welcome by the owners.

Spectacular scenery

Staying at Lamont Lodge was an absolute pleasure! The cleanliness of the lodge was impeccable, and the quality of every item provided exceeded expectations, the WiFi was fast . The breathtaking views added an extra layer of charm to the experience, making it truly unforgettable. Relaxing Retreat

We had a lovely stay in the Lamont, excellent facilities, wonderful scenery and a perfect place to unwind. The hot tub was great too and checked twice daily by the Airhouses team. This is a great location to use as a base to explore the surrounding area or just to chill! This was our second stay and we look forward to returning.
