Thanksgiving at the Beach

Great Beach House Overall

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall the house, crab dock and rental company were great. The house is setup well with a common living/eating area in the center. We had 2 families with 8 teenagers and adults. The beach and road is busy Saturday, Sunday and Monday being close to the South Parking lot, but the rest of the week is pretty quiet. The dock is good for fishing, crabbing and launching a kayak rental. The only downside to the house is the hotwater heater doesn't have enough capacity for the 3 bathrooms when everyone comes in from the beach late to shower. The 3rd bathroom needs its own hot water supply. The kitchen is pretty well stocked for cooking but needs a stovetop griddle for making pancakes for a crowd. The place was clean and the bedding and linens were good. All big pluses for a beach rental. We would stay here again!

Being on the beach is always nice, but the property certainly has an insect problem, and the beds might be original.

Thank you for your review. All of our properties receive regular pest control services. In this area, especially on the coast and when it rains often we will have palmetto bugs especially on porches. Our records indicate that you did not call or email us to report an issue during your stay. Had you called us we would have gladly sent out the pest control company to spray. In fact the house was just sprayed less than a week ago. As for the beds, they are not original and are less than 5 years old. Unfortunately, not every bed fits every guest...it is called the goldilocks syndrome. We are sorry you did not find a bed that worked for you but we will let the owner know.
