A solo unos pasos de la playa, unas vacaciones en Sandy Shanty son la mejor felicidad. Esta casa de planta inversa de 5 habitaciones y 5. 5 baños será el refugio perfecto en la costa de Charleston para tu familia y amigos. En el primer nivel, te recibe una gran sala de estar con una fila de ventanas, que llena el espacio con luz natural. En este nivel también encontrará cuatro de los cinco dormitorios: uno con cama de matrimonio, un maestro con cama king y sofá cama, un tercero con dos reinas y, finalmente, el último con una cama tamaño queen y dos camas individuales. Un montón de espacio para dormir!

En la planta superior se encuentra el gran salón y el comedor junto a la cocina. También tiene una segunda suite principal aislada con cama king y sofá cama en este piso. Continúe hacia los porches luminosos y aireados y las cubiertas al aire libre. Esta casa tiene lo mejor de ambos mundos! La guinda del Sandy Shanty es su terraza en la azotea con impresionantes vistas del Atlántico.

Loved the property, very spacious. The pool was great, but the beach was even better. There are some things in the property that need to be fixed, such as some door handles were not secure. The main concern was someone came on property without notice & removed a golf cart, which was concerning.

We really enjoyed our stay. The home has all of the amenities that were advertised and they all worked well. We really enjoyed the pool and the access to the beach was t that much further than if we were on oceanfront. We loved the sunrise/sunset views from the roof.

Best of All Visits to Isle of Palm

We found the location to be the best. We also used the pool to the max. All 5 of the kids spent max time in the pool and at the beach. We especially loved the well-equipped kitchen since all 10 of us cooked! Thanks for a great week.

Perfect rental for a family reunion

The house was spacious, comfortable, nicely decorated and well equipped. The location of the house is private, and surrounded by trees. I'm giving it just a 4 because we never found how to work the elevator or the stereo, and a TV remote control was missing. Overall, excellent vacation rental. We look forward to another unforgettable vacation.

Huge house and well-appointed!

This house was MUCH bigger than the pictures reveal! There was an abundance of room inside and out to spread out. The kitchen is also more spacious than we anticipated and the owners anticipated everything you might need. We would definitely rent here again!

Great home. Incredibly clean. Best equipped kitchen we have had in a beach rental. Very easy beach access, and the proximity to Wild Dunes was ideal. The only disappointment was the spa/hot tub did not work and the required mechanical repairs could not be completed during our stay.

Spacious House, Great Location

The home is far more spacious than it appears in the pictures. This made it very comfortable for our large group of 13. We had some troubles come up during our stay but the reservation comes with a concierge who was extremely responsive and quick to help. The numerous bedrooms and beds also makes this comfortable to sleep lots of adults!

Fall Break at the Beach

The property is really close to the beach and could walk there everyday which was great. The house itself is huge and spacious but is starting to show some wear and tear inside with rusted vents, chipped tiles and stairs needing be re-stained. The communication with the property manager was great, super quick and responsive, no issues during our stay. It is a little hard to find at night so would recommend arriving during when it is light out.

Trip with multiple families

Good house with great common area for hanging out together. Says sleeps 18 but only if all double beds and all pull out couches have 2 people. A few bunk beds would be better than so many double beds. Pool is half covered by a roof which makes it a little darker but nice to get out of the sun and still be in the pool. Not directly in the water but easily accessible path and only a short walk with shade for half of that walk. Overall a good place for multiple families to vacation together.

Great house!

Twelve friends spent a week at the Sandy Shanty and really ejoyed it. Ellen and Michelle where both wonderful to work with. Loved the notes and little treats they left for all of us to enjoy - nice touch! The house is beautiful and is well stocked. Great short walk through yard to ocean. Roof top sitting offers a nice few for a small group. Twenty minutes to downtown Charleston and lots of sightseeing/shopping. Plenty of restaurants in Isle of Palms as well. Gorgeous area. Only negative for our group was that the pool is a bit small and does not have much space to sit around it. Might not matter for some groups but we had lots of college aged kids. Luckily the ocean and Wild Dunes was close by so we could go there as well. Clean, well kept, nicely located house...it was great!

House needs some TLC

Maintenance issues. Hot tub not hot which was a problem for our group wanting to predominantly use in the march weather. Property manager never responded. Musty moldy smell in the house. Actually saw mold several places in the house & brought that to the attention of the property manager. Grill was half working. Two hours to cook a couple steaks. Take something to cover your eyes while sleeping. Lots of blinds broken.

Great location and space!

The house was a wonderful location, super close to the walk to the beach! The path was literally on the other side of the fence behind the pool. It was a great piece of beach that was never overcrowded, we spent every day there and enjoyed the pool in our downtime. The property manager was very fast on responses and if we had a problem they were fast to get someone out to fix it. I did feel like the photos didn’t 100% reflect the current property. There were some minor things like rusted air grates and rust staining by the pool and spa that were not reflected in pictures which I’m assuming are a couple years old. All things that a little paint can fix. These obviously didn’t impact our stay which was great and at an even better location. We will definitely be back in the future!

Beautiful house- but don't count on having a hot tub

The house is stunning with great amenities. However, after two days of talking with the property management group, we still don't have a "hot" tub (it's a wonderful ice bath). Since we specifically picked this house because of the hot tub, I hate to say that we are incredibly disappointed that they can't seem to get the hot tub working. Also, be warned... the house next store is being built, so there's construction noise from 8am - 6pm every day. ugh...

We are truly sorry that you had such trouble with the hot tub, especially as it was an important part of your trip. The pool and spa work on a brand new, state of the art system that is run by a sophisticated computer. We regret that our instructions were apparently not detailed enough, although we have had success with them thus far. As a result, we have added additional information to the spa instructions and have also installed the app on our iPhones so that we can control the system remotely for guests if they run into similar issues. Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely hope you'll visit Sandy Shanty, IOP and Charleston again.

The house was beautiful, but had a lot of instability. We opened the door to the patio and the screen and frame fell off. The iron shorted out on us, and to top things off we ran out of propane gas. Therefore we couldn't take showers or cook breakfast. The great thing about it was that the house manager was on top of it. She made sure the gas company came out in 15 minutes to get us going with food and hot water. She gave us her iron within 5 minutes and told us not to worry about the other issues, just enjoy ourselves. So overall I would say we had a good time and again the house was beautiful. It accomodated all 15 of us well. The rooms are just as described. I would recommend others to rent this vacation home. It is a great get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Ellen, thanks for your kind words about Michelle, our concierge property manager. She is very dedicated to your needs throughout your stay and we are so glad you called upon her. Since we don't get to stay at the house very often when we have no way of knowing what issues may have popped up during the previous week unless the renters tell us. October is a beautiful time here on the island and we are glad that you enjoyed your stay!

“Sandy Shanty” simply stunning

Very clean, well equipped, excellent location, spacious, heated pool, hot tub that worked……. I could go on. Rented equipment was nearly new and delivered as promised. Lots of outdoor space to relax.

Family reunion

Great amenities and inside was very clean. Tyler was very helpful and easy to get in touch with. The only negative (which wasn’t a big deal) was the pool/hot tub area was not very inviting. (Hot tub didn’t work properly and pool was dirty). I would still highly recommend this property!
