Nuestra cabaña "super querida" se encuentra en el corazón de esta encantadora ciudad. Originalmente programado para ser la capital de Colorado, OCC combina su carácter histórico con boutiques modernas, restaurantes galardonados y hermosas galerías de arte locales.
Esta hermosa cabaña ha sido totalmente remodelada, desde los llamativos pisos de madera hasta las encimeras de granito en la cocina y el hermoso spa como baño, manteniendo la simplicidad e integridad de la casa. Un par de características raras en esta casa, el área exterior privada se completa con una parrilla y muebles, perfectos para cenar al aire libre. Y por último, pero no menos importante, un estacionamiento asignado que viene con facilidad y que está ubicado frente al triplex.

No se han pasado por alto detalles en esta acogedora casa, ya que hemos convertido en una prioridad absoluta garantizar que todo esté disponible para que se sienta como en casa. Venga y comparta la historia de Colorado mientras hace la suya.

Loved this place !

It was perfect for two couples ! We really liked it a lot ! The outdoor patio was great to sit for morning coffee and also evenings! Everything you needed in the kitchen ! I would stay there again ! Really nice ! And also had a couple of deer to visit ! 😊

Perfect stay. We were greeted by 3 Mule deer that were lounging on the back patio. That set the tone for the rest of our trip. We walked to old Colorado springs for dinner, its literally down a hill from the listing. I would recommend this listing to anyone looking for a romantic getaway.

This is incredible!

We had an outstanding time at this VRBO!! If is exactly as listed and was perfect for my husband, myself and our 17 year old daughter. It was close to everything on our list in that area. We highly recommend staying here. It’s spotless inside and is exactly as advertised. We saw a deer in our front yard the first night we came and it was there to greet us when we headed out.

Amazing location and adorable house

My husband and I absolutely loved staying here. It was minutes away from all the attractions we wanted to see. We also fell in love with the streets of Old Colorado City. You much check out Carnelian Coffee and the shop Eclectic. Sweet Water Flower Market is also Amazing. Extremely clean and well stocked house. Check in and check out couldn’t have been any easier. We will for sure be back.

Cute cabin.

This is a cute little cabin in a good location. My only problem was that I was informed that the mattress in the larger room had been replaced, but it certainly was not new. It sinks into the middle of the bed and is very uncomfortable. The other bed was much better. I would also suggest curtains on the front and back doors to stop the street lights shining in at night as well as some blockout curtains in both bedrooms. Also it was impossible to watch the tv as it kept lagging even after rebooting the xfinity box several times . Other than that it’s a neat little place.

Great place.

We overall enjoyed our stay! The kitchen had everything we needed, the place was beautiful (small but decorated beautifully) and the bathroom was out of a magazine. We only had a couple of issues. The beds are awful. They sink in the center so we woke up with a back ache every morning. I think it’s time for new mattresses. Also I would have loved a check in email from the owners. We got a access code over a month ago and then didn’t hear anything. I did reach out just to let them know we were there but I would have loved an email just checking in to see if we had any issues or if we got in. Overall, I would recommend this property.

There are far better, keep looking travelers

Difficult to get in as lock is faulty. Bumpy steps to front door not lighted, terrible to arrive after dark and then spend well over 5 minutes (16 degree weather) to work with their lock which needs adjusting or replaced. Thankfully they answered the phone and guided me thru the cumbersome process of using their faulty lock. No place to sit and eat except a small table with the non functioning TV sitting 5 inches away. Sent text for instructions on TV, no response. Don't know who has long dark hair-all over the shower and sink. Not mine, gross. No table next to bed to set phone, water etc. Also, no plugs nearby. No tissues, had to use POM toilet paper-is there any worse quality? I'm sure there're worse VRBO 's however I'm almost positive there are far far better for the money they are charging.

Good afternoon Deb, i'm sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your stay with us recently. We strive to make all our guests feel comfortable and offer them 5 star amenities at an affordable rate. Let me address all your issues you have listed and if that isn't satisfactory i'll be happy to give you a call and address any of your concerns. The lock is a lock that you have to put the code in to access the house, this is to make our guests lives easier than having a lockbox with a key. That being said the lock is not faulty, you just have to pull the door towards you when locking and unlocking. As for the steps, there are no steps to the property, i'm unsure as to what steps you are referring to. We do not have any steps to the property and the pictures we provide online are an accurate depiction of what the property looks like so if you refer back to those you will see there are no steps. We always answer all of our guests very quickly (usually within 10 minutes) i looked back to make certain all your messages didn't go unanswered and i saw you never reached out to express your frustrations. I would have been very happy to assist you with any need you may have had. Moreover, the home is 500 square feet which makes it challenging to add extra tables and seating. We have placed all the necessary furniture a guest may need during their stay. We'd be happy to see if we can put a little table by the bed to make our future guests more comfortable. As for the tv, i never received any message from you asking how to operate the tv, i would have gladly assisted you. When it comes to cleanliness we take pride in how thorough we clean each and every one of our properties, i would have gladly sent the cleaning lady over to take care of any issues you may have had. Finally, i appreciate you expressing your concerns, we strive to always find ways to improve and give all our guests a five star experience.

Character & Comfort Away From Home

First, we had a great stay. This property was a terrific home base for everything we had on our itinerary. Since everyone has different priorities when booking a property, here are some observations to help you book yours... *the owner's pictures of the decor are pretty darn accurate - if you think the pictures are appealing, you will be quite pleased, and I personally loved the plug-in scent *very clean, very tidy *we were pleased with the water pressure in the shower (thank you!), although the temperature control knob is a bit unforgiving *the dryer door is loosey-goosey and will swing about on its own - watch your head while you're sticking it inside the washer to confirm that you've retrieved all of your socks (it's a stacked setup) *the kitchen was better appointed than our simple breakfasts required, but we appreciated having every tool we might need, and then some, available - their spice rack, a nice revolving number with like 20 (estimate from memory) jars of spices, made me wish I was cooking more *warning - the streets are a little wonky in this neighborhood - Google Maps handled it fine, but Waze seemed a little convoluted *I see, now that we're home, that the listing mentions "assigned parking" - we didn't receive any instructions about this, so we parked by the curb on the street *unfortunately, this forced us to ascend/descend 7-9 steps from street level up to the house - no problem for me, but a bit of a challenge for my mom - it surprises me that that isn't mentioned in the description *garbage was the only "hiccup" we had - we arrived on a Thursday and left the following Thursday, and the same trash was in the can the entire stay - if we were expected to drag the can to the street on a particular day, no one told us - this was only a problem when someone or something knocked it over during our first night - the next morning, I had to clean up the garbage strewn in the rose bushes, including some very oily black olives - by the way, there might be ground-nesting bees in the vicinity, as they were swarming all around the trash I was trying to clean up - I had to leave some of it alone until the swarm settled down in the evening - as you might imagine, this was not a particularly fun way to start your vacation - I found a couple spare bricks and rocks to set on the lid of the can, and never had another incident during our stay, but the garbage remained in the can the entire week, so...? *W-Fi is up to the task of phones and pads

We are sorry you had to take care of the bin, we do not expect our guests to drag the trash to the street as it is picked up from its current location. Trash is normally picked up on Tuesdays and we never had any issues with that in the past. Thank you for bringing it to our attention, we will follow up on this matter. Updated, Clean, Comfortable

This property really met our needs as we visited family in the Old Colorado City area. The property is secure, impeccably clean, and well updated. A perfect property for adults and small families. The full sized appliances and kitchen basics made cooking and prep easy. A generous supply of nice quality bath linens was provided. The stacking washer dryer with detergent were handy and much appreciated. Location in a quiet, walkable neighborhood with nearby attractions was a plus too. The property is located at the top of a steep hill with nice views of Pikes Peak. One minor drawback was poor television cable service and no accessible electrical outlet in the secondary bedroom. I would recommend the owner consider adding a humidifier to the amenities for visitors needing help adjusting to low humidity and altitude. (A pot of simmering water helped when symptoms flared.) As with most properties in Colorado Springs, there are steps/stairs to negotiate from the parking area to the home. All was well lit with good visibility. Will definitely consider this property on future visits.

We had a great time in this awesome property. Location was perfect for us. Only thing I would recommend is that the mattress and box spring be replaced in the bigger of the 2 rooms.

Our Stay

WE really enjoyed our stay. The property was very clean and beautifully decorated. The lighting could have been better. Beautiful and very trendy lighting, but not functional. The lamp in the living area would have been better with a conventional lamp shade. I know the cottage is small, but there was no place to place toiletries in the bathroom. Also, the TV never worked properly. The stations kept cutting in and out. and the pictures would freeze. I think a cable issue. We loved the outside sitting area. Spent evenings out there and really enjoyed the quiet neighborhood. We would definitely come back and also recommend our friends to stay.

Very quite place - not to far from the freeway Which was nice , very equipped with almost everything you would need - 95% very clean - which was nice Not a lot of venation throughout the house or a air purifier , was slightly stuffy , and no enough paper towels or tissues - and was a lot of cleaning up to do before leaving which is kinda annoying of them to ask when your traveling , you already have a lot going on plus your paying for a cleaning fee - didn’t care to much for that - I got a great price but wouldn’t have wanted to pay more than what I paid to stay there , which they honored , the price before they upped it . Also 4 is a super late check in. People who are traveling like to drop things off and go get stuff - like grocery shopping - something to consider

Thank you for your review. We are pleased that you had a pleasant stay, and that the property was 95% clean. As per our listing, we provide an initial supply of paper towels and tissues. We understand that the check-out instructions, such as taking out the trash, turning off the lights, and starting the dishwasher may have been unclear to you, as they were all disclosed in the listing. These instructions are part of the house rules and are standard requests from hosts. The check-out time is also detailed in the listing and guests agree to it prior to booking a property. It is unfortunate that you found these instructions inconvenient after the fact.

Beautiful place and a perfect location!

I can’t say enough great things about this cottage! We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was perfect! Super cute and extremely clean! It’s in a wonderful location that is just a short walk to all the little shops and restaurants that old Colorado city has to offer. We even got to see a few deer come in the yard one morning!

Perfect for 2

My daughter and I stayed for 5 days. We very much enjoyed our stay. The new refrigerator was very loud but owners said they would address the issue. The area was perfect and the house is peaceful, clean and the perfect size for 2 people. Coffee was available which is always a nice touch. Definitely recommend a stay here

Fun stay with the kids

Really nice place with full amenities, relatively quiet neighborhood with outdoor area for kids. Quick drive to Manitou for day outings.

Christmas 2021

Everything was nice & clean. It had everything we needed for our Christmas vacation and was a perfect location for what we had planned. We had views of the mountains but I believe these might be obstructed during the spring & summer months when there are leaves in the trees. It had a cute little yard & patio set. I was worried about having to park on the street but parking was fine because the shared lot was not full because the house it shares the lot with was not fully rented out. It is a pretty small house so more than 4 (even if they are kids) I would not recommend. Honestly, it really was a great house and conveniently located to so much. We would definitely recommend to others.

Love this house!!

House was very clean. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals. This house is located near everything. Downtown Colorado Springs, garden of the Gods and Cheyenne mountain Zoo. Grocery store is just a couple miles away. Loved drinking my morning coffee on the patio with mountain views. I even got see a mule deer just walking down the street while sitting outside. Our son is in the airforce and stationed in Colorado Springs. We will be back and will definitely be staying here again.

Beautiful home away from home

This beautiful little house was over the top..The kitchen had everything ..you could literally cook , bake or do anything ! The finishes in the whole home were beautiful.. The only thing I need next time is a humidifier lol.
