Esta hermosa casa de estilo cabaña francesa personalizada se encuentra en una granja de caballos con 10 acres. La tierra linda con la propiedad de Parques del Condado con acceso directo al embalse de Holloway y millas de senderos y vías fluviales. Camine por el sendero hacia el agua o traiga sus caballos, juguetes acuáticos o simplemente venga a relajarse en esta hermosa y única casa. La cocina es un sueño de cocineros, las vistas son magníficas desde cada ventana. El baño principal tiene una bañera de hidromasaje para dos personas y una cama king size con sala de estar privada. Hay 2 chimeneas de leña, un gran porche cubierto y una gran terraza. Situado en una granja de caballos, podemos acomodar sus propios caballos o organizar un paseo privado para la familia. Pesca, camina, bote, canoa, monta a caballo o simplemente disfruta de la maravillosa compañía que sin duda querrás traer contigo para experimentar esta gran aventura en el campo. Cerca de Frankenmuth, Birch Run y 90 minutos de Detroit, este podría convertirse en su hogar lejos del hogar durante un fin de semana o una semana. Gathered over the thanksgiving weekend to host family. It was wonderful. Outdoors offered animals and adventures. Inside was comfortable and great for a large gathering. Wonderful home and setting. Huge kitchen and open living area. Perfect for cooking and entertaining.

This property was great for a family to stay and enjoy each other. I have stayed at many other places and have never had a kitchen so well stocked. We cooked every night and never had trouble finding what we needed. The animals made us smile everyday. I could not have asked for a better place.

The number and variety of animals is not emphasized enough. They're literally everywhere. We loved it. We were entertained enough just staying there at the property. The house is huge and very comfortable and there are nice big porches all around the house. The kitchen is enormous and open to the rest of the house so dinner was fun. The river is a short walk through the woods from the back of the property and there's a little dock with a bench perfect for fishing. Our host was very kind and accommodating. She made sure we had everything we needed. I wish we could have stayed longer. I really enjoyed it.

Beautiful, spacious property and home. Lots of sleeping arrangement options. Large kitchen, great for family cooking and conversation. If you are an animal lover, this is the place to be. We were welcomed in by a group of turkeys who visited frequently all weekend. Sally the goat was a constant friend as well. We also had a pony friend that came by the house from time to time. Lots of goats, horses, and cats to make friends with as well. We didn’t catch any fish, but had fun trying. Also enjoyed the nature, saw many bluebirds, cranes, and deer. Even saw a bald eagle. At night, we had lots of quality family and friend time by the campfire. This place combines a beautiful cozy home with all the benefits of the outdoors, making for a fun weekend with friends and family.

Very relaxing place to stay. Nine of us from 18 years to 70 years, we all enjoyed walking around and visiting with the animals. The star of the show was certainly Tina, the goat. She visited the front porch often. If we weren’t there to give her immediate attention, she would often just relax in the chair till we got there. We also walked back to the water a couple times. Saw several deer and a bench to watch the water. Clean and comfortable. Well stocked kitchen for fixing meals.

Home Away from Home

Maurine was wonderful. She was always available to answer questions. Her home is beautiful and so comfortable. This was a unique opportunity to interact with all of the rescue animals that are all so well cared for. We are looking forward to staying again in the future. Thanks Maurine for making our stay so memorable.

Perfect - Even Better Than Hoped For!!

Such a great property! My kiddo was in heaven with all the friendly animals (we were too)! And the house - is Amazing! So many beautiful areas to sit and visit - inside and out! The beds were comfortable, the atmosphere was relaxing. Maurine was extremely responsive, friendly and helpful! The extra thought with the shampoo and conditioner, plenty of linens, condiments in the fridge (on top of a fully stocked kitchen!), the firewood. It felt like a family member had prepared ahead for us to visit. We definitely hope to stay here again in the future! So highly recommended!

50th Birthday on the farm

Maurine was a fantastic host! Her farm was everything as described and it provided the perfect getaway for friends celebrating a 50th birthday. The home was beautiful and had everything needed…the eclectic decor added to the charm! The animals were so fun to watch and you never knew who was going to greet you when you walked out.

Great stay on the Farm

What a sweet find. Couldn't have been any nicer! The farmhouse was perfect and all the rescue animals were wonderful. Realize this property might not be for everyone but for our extended weekend we couldn't have chosen a better spot. Maurine was wonderful to work with and everything was perdect from beginning to end.

Perfect place for a planning retreat

A church staff planning retreat for our Christmas events for next year. It was the perfect place and everything we needed. Love also the animals and while it was bitter cold and snowing all week not just the view was incredible but the animals were still all around the property. It was a winter wonderland and wonderful animals just made it that much better. Its definitely a place we can highly recommend.

Christmas on the farm

We needed a place for our three families to gather (total of eight adults and three teenagers) for Christmas as our home is under construction. The house was decorated and even a Christmas tree was up and decorated. overall, a great traditional Christmas feel to it, Moreen when the extra mile for our stay. But the hidden bonus was morning reveille the Roster provided, wishing us a Merry Christmas. Thank You Moreen we had a wonderful Christmas at your home.

Perfect Place for the Event

The property is fairly remote, which, to me, is especially nice! It was very welcoming and cozy. Maurine is a wonderful hostess meeting our needs and offering horse rides for my two grandkids. I was here for my dad's funeral. So, all the animals and comfort of the home were very nice. I loved our stay and would definitely recommend this beautiful place.

It was just like staying at granny’s house!

We loved our stay! Eight family members from across the country gathered for a wedding in Lapeer. We had plenty of beds, bathrooms, and privacy; but more importantly, a spacious, homey, kitchen/dining area where we could ALL sit around and chit chat. Plenty of cookware for preparing late night pizza rolls. Morning offered rocking chairs on the front porch where we sipped coffee and watched the farm animals going about their business on the warm fall day. This may not be the house for guests with an aversion to farm life because of the smells, dirt, and noise that come with it but for us, it was just like being at grandmas house. I only with we could have stayed longer.

We (family of 8) can't get over how much we loved this place. The house is beautiful, it does show the charachter of an old wise woman! The animals are so fun, so loving, very theraputic and you just want to love them all. Maureen was wonderful to work with.

Family reunion

We had reunion in the area. It was convenient. The home has three areas main bedroom, up one bedroom and down 2. Each of the 3 areas had a full bath. Lots of space, great working kitchen and lots of seating. We enjoyed the wrap around porch and the country air overlooking the pastures and animals. Fire pit out back with a stack of wood was inviting. Enjoy your stay.

Communing with Nature

First of all, a warm thank you to Maurine, our hostess, who not only provided an absolutely beautiful home and loads of friendly and engaging animals for us to enjoy, but shines in her role as protector of the old, broken down and unwanted creatures who now have a home in her care. Our family of 6 is chock full of animal and nature lovers, so we had a truly wonderful visit. The guest house is a warm and welcoming place, decorated with French country charm and features a huge great room, wrap-around decks, chef's kitchen, a piano, fireplaces, 3 floors of rooms, great amenities and plenty of space for relaxing. The outdoors are shady and include a fire pit, which our family used almost every night. There were kayaks to take to the nearby lake, and a little dock where we fished as well. We watched sunrises and sunsets, and felt truly at home. But above all, the farm itself was the most wonderful part of our stay. Animals were everywhere, and we literally had free reign to walk around and "play" with them all day. It was not unusual to see us up in the morning in our pj's walking around looking for the kitties, or sitting on the porch waiting for the "jail break" when the goats were let out of the barn. We walked the long driveway lined th paddocks for the horses on each side, and made friends with them as they nuzzled our hands. Bottom line, if you love interacting with nature, you will not be disappointed here. Once again, Maurine, thanks again for your hospitality.
