Perfect Retreat

We enjoyed our stay at Captains Walk. Convenient location with great oceanfront view. The unit was very clean and nicely decorated.

Oceanfront stay

We enjoyed the sunrises every morning and the beautiful views all day of the beach. The location was convenient and the unit was clean. Great visit!

Vacation with friends

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Loved being steps away from the ocean. Very nice pool area with grills set up for cookouts. Room was very neat and clean but could suggest a couple of rugs to collect all the sand we were bringing in. Would definitely stay here again.

Escape to the beach

Property is located in the Palmetto Dunes. Smaller building that is quiet and a stones throw to the beach. Highly recommend Captains Walk and its ideal location on Hilton Head Island. Gorgeous sunrises!!

We would certainly stay here again. The property management company was just great! Arrival to pick up parking passes went well and when a minor issue came up, they came and addressed it within hours.

Captain’s walk. The view says it all.

The view was amazing. The minimalist furnishings in living room doesn’t do justice to the rest of the surroundings. Especially the wall of TV cables. But I would rent it again, just so we could see and hear the ocean from our condo. Also the pool was great.

Happy with my stay

We were looking for a relaxing place to stay on the beach and my parents recommended Captain’s Walk. I was beyond happy when I opened the door to the condo and saw the beautiful ocean through the glass doors in front of me. The condo itself was clean and nicely decorated. The communication from Sea Turtle was excellent. We knew exactly what to do and which places to go to for bikes, kayaks, whatever we needed. They even included the location of the ER which came in handy later in the week. I will gladly stay here again. I couldn’t ask for better accommodations.

Fall family vacation

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I agree with many of the previous reviews. Overall, the property has alot of potential. But it is in need of some major TLC. Captain's Walk is great and I would stay in the complex again, just not in this unit.

Great view

The condo is nicely decorated. Nicely furnished. The only complaints with the actual unit is PLEASE splurge the $40 on a new commode seat in the master bath. Someone has tried to fix a broken hinge and it literally takes 2 hands to open/close the seat. The guest bath tub doesn’t drain properly. These are both easy repairs though and shouldn’t deter anyone from staying here! The groundskeepers do fantastic at keeping the facility well manicured! There are deer that roam daily which I thought was shocking. But a pleasant surprise! The facility needs to stay on top of their pest control. We noticed roaches in the exterior stairwells. Nothing to do with this actual unit though!

the packet had the wrong number unit , so we entered a unit with someone in it and we only received 1 pass in our mailed packet and had to argue to get another pass for just the weekend.

Condo was very dirty

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The showers had black mold, the floors were dirty, the washer was dirty, table in livingroom was dirty, washing machine was dirty. Company offered to send cleaning crew. I didn't want people back in the condo, so I asked for new shower curtain liners and cleaning supplies Company brought supplies and we cleaned ourselves. Company stated that it was because it was the end of the season and deep cleaning needed to be done. This was so satisfactory. The only plus was that there was a great view of the ocean and very close to the boardwalk and pool.

Much needed updates

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We always stay at captains walk, this being year 13. This was the worst property we have ever stayed in yet the pricing was the same as much nicer units. The unit is very dated. There were no rugs not even one inside the door to collect sand. None of the bedding stayed on the beds. We never did get the tv to work well and we are very techy people. The bathroom door does not fit properly and made a loud noise anytime you used it. The toaster does not work. However, the staff at Sea Turtles was very nice and helpful. We did enjoy the use of the beach chairs. For that price we will stay in a different unit next year.

Disappointed

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived to the condo just after check in time and ready to hit the pool. The pool area had been under construction with plans to be completed by end of March. Come April 15 the pool was still closed... We did not receive communication that the date had been delayed. Had we received that we would have made other arrangements. We found the condo very dated and just clean enough. It was very obvious that the floors were only cleaned with swiffer pads rather than CLEANED. The showers are almost impossible to turn off and on. New handles needed. The children could not get them going alone. On a positive note plenty of bathroom towels were available.
