Dear Alejandro, We are sorry to hear you didn’t have a five-star experience at our beloved family cabin. I’m sorry you were unaware of Big Bear Lake’s policy about trash. Having to remove your trash is not unique to our property but rather a city-wide policy, which is clearly stated on our website. We drive our trash to the dump after each visit just as every other Big Bear visitor and resident does. As to the cold bathroom, please remember, you booked a cabin in Big Bear in January. We have an excellent thermostat that keeps our cabin cozy all year round. Guests are welcome to adjust the thermostat to their comfort. We have a full set of stainless steel All Clad pots and pans of the highest quality. If food sticks to them, it is usually a user issue. In the future, I recommend using more cooking oil. We have never heard complaints about squeaky mattresses, and the sheet sets are all brand new. We use a very well-respected management company that keeps our cabin meticulously clean between guests. We spoke to our property manager upon reading your review and she assured us there were no dirty towels or trash inside the property upon your check in. If you had contacted us with concerns upon your arrival, we would have had our property manager there within the hour to make it right. Given that we allowed one of your guests to check in before you, perhaps there was activity at the cabin before you arrived that you were unaware of. In light of the unique circumstances of your check in and the extra mile we went to make sure your guests could access the property at their convenience, I am disappointed that, without any communication to us about these supposed issues, you have reviewed the property in a negative light. Though I can’t say we would welcome your party back for a future stay, I hope that for the sake of other property owners and the reputations we all work so hard to maintain as VRBO hosts, you would communicate your concerns up front so your experience can be improved instead of posting erroneous claims after the fact.
