Beautiful condo until you start looking closely. All of the furniture is cheap/old/broken. The air conditioner DOES NOT WORK. We had to be relocated to a different condo because the thermostat never got below 78 degrees. BEWARE before you book this condo. Also, if you have any issues, Vacasa will give you the run around & transfer you to multiple international customer service agents until you get upset enough to begin losing your mind. That, combined with the heat from the broken A/C is enough to ruin your entire vacation. Also, being relocated means being put in a completely mold filled much smaller, much less nice condominium. Thank you Vacasa, we will literally NEVER book with you again. Worst experience I have ever had.

we absolutely loved our stay here. The only issue we had was a couple of large grasshoppers and 1 big roach was found roaming in the bedrooms. If they spray for those, it would have been the most perfect experience

Best Condo yet

We have stayed at Sterling Sands many times. This visit, we had the best condo yet! Updated, very clean, and very quiet. The only complaint we have is that we were told we would have access to pool and beach before check-in at 4. We were told by Vacasa rep that our packet with our bracelets and info to get in pool/ beach would be in office. I specifically ask when I called if office would be unlocked because it normally isn’t and I have never seen anyone working in office previously. The office was locked. However, due to the helpful security guard ,who checked the locked office for our packet, which was not there, allowed us access. She was so helpful and kind! Thank you to Kayla!! She is a true example of good customer service!!

Really enjoyed staying here! Amazing view from balcony, beds were comfortable conveniently located to everything snd check in and out extremely easy. Highly recommend!

Great experience, would book again.

Great location, ocean front view is unbeatable. Was able to watch dolphins swim in the morning (just look out for them). Private beach access is just right downstairs which is a huge plus. Tons of activities around that are also kids friendly.

A comfortable, safe place for our family vacation!

This condo was comfortable for our family of 6. We did bring a mattress topper for the sofa bed so I cannot speak to the actual mattress there but universally they are not usually very comfortable so the topper helped! The unit was overall clean. The location was convenient to things both directions and the view spectacular! We would stay here again for sure.

A great property in a good location. Just as advertised!

The condo was exactly as advertised in the listing. Communication was very good through Vacasa and we had no issues of concern during our stay.

Has potential but I would not recommend

The location is amazing, but overall our stay wasnt great unfortunately. The condo was dirty upon arrival and looked like it had not been cleaned. I contacted the Vasca property manager number multiple times our first day, they did nothing about our concerns for over 3 days. Additionally, at the same time I was being contacted multiple times while on the beach because apparently they were going to replace our fridge in the middle of our stay for unknown reasons. When I asked what we should do with our fridge full of cold and frozen food, they suggested we put it in the new fridge that was warm. The property has great potential, but the management is extremely poor and it is clear nobody takes pride in it. I did ask to speak with the owner of the property & that request was declined. I would not recommend staying here. Spend your money elsewhere that isnt being managed by vasca. ** After our trip we were refunded the cleaning fee we paid of $160 when I sent Vasca photos of the condition the condo was in.

Good for any and all.

Great place to stay. Great view. Easy access to beach. Would highly recommend. Good for any and all ages. Only dislike was filling out some online form & paying for parking passes (not a huge issue). Just would think that would already be included in your condo price.

The location was great and all in all it was great! The queen bed in 2nd bedroom was terrible! Ended up sleeping on couch which didn’t make us happy! Condo itself was great, beautiful view.. everything was provided and other than the queen bed we had a great visit!

Beach Stay

Overall impression was the property seemed clean and fairly well taken care of. It was considerably older than I would have thought it was by looking at the pictures. Also the check in and everything was somewhat confusing with having to deal with 4 different companies. I would have thought there were more amenities by the listing and the other reviews.

Absolutely Amazing Vacation Spot

Loved Loved this place. Amazing view of the ocean/condo pool which allowed me to keep an eye on my boys while they were out. Right at the heart of all the restaurants, stores, kids arcade/games. The place itself was very comfy and cozy. No complaints at all. Couldn't have asked for a better place. I will highly recommend this spot to all my family and friends that wish to visit Destin.

The condo itself was perfect!! The location ,close to the elevator was great. We stepped out our door and there was the elevator. The view was amazing also. This is a small complex, therefore not a lot of people. I would Definitely stay here again!!!😎

Great for families with teenagers!

This was perfect for our family! Our teenaged kids were able to go to the souvenir shops, play mini golf, ride go karts, and eat where they wanted which meant we could relax and do what we wanted without driving all over Destin. We had direct beach access and a great view. The only suggestions is adding black out curtains to the master bedroom and a Keurig (thankfully I brought mine). Overall I would stay here again!

Beautiful place!

Super nice condo! Beautiful view, staff was so nice. Only thing I wish I knew before was that no personal umbrellas are allowed, and if you bring your own chairs there’s a specific spot you have to be in. We ended up renting chairs and an umbrella because I can’t be on the beach without some shade at some point!! Haha.

Overview of property

The condo itself was very nice but there was an issue with the master bedroom shower. It hardly had any water pressure. The washer and dryer were also making funny noises. They need some maintenance. Other recommendations would be to have salt and pepper in the condo as well as more than just one dishwasher pod and two garbage bags. The last comment was that the daytime security person at the pool was somewhat "overbearing" and tended to make guests a bit uncomfortable. The nighttime security folks were much more personable. But over-all the stay was fabulous. I would definitely recommend the property and would come back again.

40th birthday trip!

My husband, and other couple, loved our stay at Sterling Sands! We were all celebrating our 40th birthdays! The pool was heated and the hot tub felt great too! The balcony with the ocean view was even better on the top floor that we were on. We watched sunrises on the left and sunsets on the right with morning dolphins right in front of our balcony! It was awesome! Lots of families. We did not bring our children this time but we plan on coming back next year with them! We rented beach chairs by the ocean and enjoyed snow cones. We walked to The Backporch for dinner. We were really close to everything. We did rent a car. Someone at the pool area made a comment that stuck with me in a good way. They said this condo is the best because it's not the biggest and the tallest but that means less people at the pool, the beach, and the elevators! Good point! It is also a gated pool area so everyone at the pool knew the code to the gate and had wristbands for the pool area. We rented a boat with a driver to take us to crab Island! It was awesome! We saw 15 dolphins in the bay too! Wonderful trip, we will be back!!
