Premium 7 Mile Beach 3 Bedroom Condo
Our home on 7 Mile Beach is newly renovated and is a perfect location for stays of 2 weeks to 3 months. It part of the Laguna del Mar development, which includes lush gardens, a lake with an island for picnics and one of the best stretches of sand on 7 Mile Beach. It is close to the Marriott Beach Resort with three good restaurants and a Red Sails aquatics office. And the sunsets are indeed Grand.
Unfortunately, a storm in 2022 eroded the beach in the area of Laguna del Mar. While we have a nice beach with umbrellas and beach chairs, it is not possible to walk along the beach North to the main part of Seven Mile Beach. It is best to take the sidewalk along West Bay Road under the big tunnel about 1/4 mile to the first public beach access path to Seven Mile Beach. From there you can walk North along beautiful Seven Mile Beach.

My sisters and I were blessed that our parents, Marlan and Rosemary Bourns, shown in the photo, were original owners at Laguna Del Mar beginning the day it opened in 1989. We have enjoyed visiting Cayman with our children from the time they were very young. Now they are taking their own children to Cayman to enjoy amazing Seven Mile Beach. The beach in front of Laguna Del Mar is always nice, free from rocks or iron-shore. The waves are typically small, making it perfect for young and old children alike.
Laguna Del Mar encompasses a large property, which includes a pool, spa, outdoor barbecue area, gym and tennis court. A special feature is the lagoon in the center of the resort, with a little island that is perfect for picnics, which you can get to by walking over the bridge close to the swimming pool. The lagoon has many turtles, which love children to throw pieces of bread to them.
Laguna Del Mar is only 100 yards from the Marriott Beach Resort, which has several great restaurants, a dive company office where you can book diving, snorkeling and sailing trips. We highly recommend their Wave Rider Safari, because it is a perfect combination of riding on Wave Riders and swimming.
Laguna Del Mar is a 10 minute walk to Cayman Bay, which features many boutique shops, fine dining experiences, outstanding gelato and fountains the children love to run through. There is also a movie theater in Caymana Bay, but who would want to spend time watching a movie, when you can walk along world-famous Seven Mile Beach?

Laguna Del Mar is centrally located on Grand Cayman's Seven Mile Beach. The long-time Manager, Marcos Montana and his team of facilities engineers, keep the property in immaculate condition. My sisters and I recently did a significant renovation of our home away from home, Windsong on Seven Mile Beach, with a new kitchen, four new bathrooms and new furniture. And for transportation or suggestions on places to visit, our local house manager, Verna Thomas, will take good care of you, from checking you in to taking you back to the airport when you have to go back home.
We are certain you will enjoy our Cayman home for an extended stay of two weeks or more.

On the third floor, Laguna Del Mar Unit #25 is a prime unit at Laguna Del Mar, with high vaulted ceilings, corner unit views, easy access to the stairway or elevator and magnificent views of Seven Mile Beach on the West side and the lagoon on the East side. For Cayman Sunsets, nothing can be better than sitting on the screened balcony patio sipping something cool before a delicious dinner at one of Cayman's many fine dining establishments.
