Hello Dave, Thank you for your feedback. We just had the carpets in all the bedrooms professionally steam cleaned 1/30 so the stain has been removed. We'll have the blinds replaced as well, thanks for bringing it to our attention. I took a look at the grill after reading this and I think you did a great job cleaning the grates.

Hi Carol. We appreciate your feedback and would like to add additional context. The 'broken' appliance was just a filter that needed to be replaced in the fridge. The carpets are professionally steam cleaned every 6 months. Despite no other guest having issues with the blinds, we replaced every single one the within the first few days of your stay because we want our guests to have a great experience. Yes, one remote had batteries that died during your 40+ night stay, as well as 2 lightbulbs. We offered to send our handyman, but you preferred to replace them and we reimbursed you for those items and the kitchen towels you purchased. We were unaware a lamp had a broken lamp shade and offered to immediately replace both lamps with a new matching set. You declined this offer and said it was fine. The electricity allowance IS disclosed in the house rules which are viewable before a guest books. They are also disclosed inside the house on the one-page welcome sheet. We have this allowance because there are guests that will use $1000 of electricity in a month by running the pool heater/air conditioner at unobtainable temperatures 24/7. Rather than raise the nightly price for everyone to offset this, we include an allowance and deduct any extra from the security deposit. This is the most fair approach in our opinion.

Hi Trisha, The smell was caused by the last renters leaving their garbage in the garage for over a week instead of taking it outside to the curb as they should have. I'm very sorry about that but that is not something I have any control over. The toilet was fixed within 4 hours of you letting me know that it was broken. There is a thermometer in the fridge that reads 38F so I don't know why you think it doesn't get cold. Thanks for the review.

Hi Linda, First of all thank you for taking the time out of your day to write a review. The electricity charge is based on how much the entire house+pool+pool heater uses. You did run the pool heater the entire time you were there. We're constantly updating our houses and making improvements. I'm glad to see you had a great time though :) Thanks again, Kevin
