Beautiful Hillside Home with Ocean Views

Unit 27A Lot 1 / Tri-level / This beautiful, forested hillside home features two bedrooms, two dens and 2.5 baths and 2 decks.
The Deerfield is a nicely decorated home with a modern decor. The living, dining, and kitchen and half bath are on the entry level with a slider door leading to the northwest facing balcony deck. This deck also connects to the hot tub deck on lower level.
Bedrooms are on upper and lower floors requiring use of stairs, but perfect privacy for two couples. Both dens are located off each bedroom, and each are equipped with large flat screen TVs. The lower-level bedroom has a private deck with access to the hot tub. The upstairs primary loft bedroom has white water ocean views. This den is also outfitted to bring the office home if need be.
Free Wireless High Speed wifi available.
Bed linens and towels are included with this rental.

SEA RANCH AND SONOMA COUNTY GUIDELINES
Drones are strictly prohibited in The Sea Ranch.
Quiet hours must be observed between 9pm and 7am every day.
No outdoor amplified sound is allowed at any time day or night.
Maximum number of vehicles at house shall be 2 (two), parked in driveway. No RV's

Deerfield at The Sea Ranch August 2025

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first time staying at this house. A beautiful, well maintained residence with sweeping views of the water while being surrounded by coastal redwoods. The downside of staying in a hillside home is having to drive everywhere if you want to walk or hike but it's very close to Shell Beach from this property so just a few minutes away. The only issue we had was the coffeemaker which kept shutting off partway through the brew cycle so we gave up after a couple of tries and just used the French press. This issue was reported to Beach Rentals so hopefully the owner is quickly able to replace the appliance. Having owners manuals available for all the small appliances (including the microwave) would be helpful. Overall, a beautiful home and we always enjoy our visits to the Sea Ranch!

We called it our tree house with a view. Settled among some of the larger redwood trees at Sea Ranch, the home exudes warmth. All the walls are covered in wood, and the setting sun reflects off the redwoods and the walls to create the most beautiful feeling each night. There is a view from the main living area down to the ocean. Trails surround the property and getting to either Gualala or the Lodge is easy.The home is in impeccable condition. The furnishings are magnificent, including quite a few beautiful pieces of mid-century modern. The lighting is also elegant and creates beautiful moods in each of the rooms at night. The kitchen is completely furnished with high-end cookware, appliances, Placewares and everything you will need. The upper bedroom is one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed. Lying on the bed you can look down to the ocean - seeing what weather the day may bring each morning. The linens were exquisite- extremely soft sheets, towels, and a great selection of pillows. The hot tub is convenient and lovely, set among the redwood trees. There were just two of us, but it would be a delightful rental for three or four, as there is a second bedroom at the lower level . Beach Rental Agency does a fabulous job presenting a clean and well equipped home for your stay. It is rare I rave about a rental property as much as I have Deerfield, but this property is unique. It was one of the most perfect places I have ever stayed. I have already recommended it to several friends.....

Deerfield - Always a Great Place to Stay

It's located on the hillside, not on the meadow, but with its elevation, the views are stupendous and constantly changing. We have stayed at the house many times over at least 10 years and it suits us perfectly. My only complaint (which was passed on to the rental company) is that the Sonos speaker is difficult (read: impossible) to access without going through a bunch of steps that shouldn't be required. How about a simple bluetooth speaker that can be easily connected to by both Apple and Android phones? My advice in the meantime: bring your own bluetooth speaker if you want to listen to music.

Great, quiet neighborhood, trails within walking distance. The split level aspect makes private spaces available, but all within earshot of your travel mates. In the area to help a friend with her son's wedding, this home provided all the comfort and relaxation needed to recharge for the next event. From the hot tub to the well equipped kitchen it was everything! The serene home also gave an amazing view of the ocean. The home also had a modern but oh so comfy vibe. The Forest Coast

The property was beautiful, all the things we needed were available. Stunning views, and such a beautiful time to go, as it was sunny all weekend. Great place for a romantic weekend. Just be prepared for lots of stairs. Otherwise, lovely place to stay.

Perfect balance between ocean and forest

We absolutely loved this place. It was perfectly situated in the forest with a view of and short walk to the coast. It was also centrally located in the middle of the Sea Ranch property between the Lodge and town. Our family was able to relax in style with the great floorplan, hot tub, and luxury amenities. It was tastefully decorated as well. We'll be back!

A small but efficient kitchen (although we could not figure out the microwave, perhaps a cheat sheet for this appliance?)Also the Primary bedroom is lofted with an open window so living room & kitchen noise can be heard up top. Despite these small concerns we would definitely stay in this house again. And Beach Rentals provided top-notch customer service.

Our visit was as perfect as ever. The location, the view (sunsets into the ocean!), plus turkeys(!). The quality furnishings and art. The house is comfortable and welcoming. Our home away from home.

Very nice property

Very nicely furnished home. Quiet with great views. One thing to note is there are multiple levels so lots of stairs to deal with. Garage was very clean and bbq worked great. Nice appliances and everything worked well. A very nice place to stay and relax.

I give it 5 stars because it was extremely clean, probably the cleanest rental property I’ve ever stayed at and also very comfortable. The owner was very thoughtful in having extra things we needed around the house. They had different teas and olive oil, salt pepper, etc. Everything was very thought out. Everything was perfect. My only two suggestions are to perhaps in the future try to get a bigger spa and if I brought children, I would be nervous of them on the white carpet. Other than that, it’s a beautiful updated house with that Sea Ranch feel. We loved staying here and would again in a heart beat. Thank you for everything!

There were too many stairs and the furniture was too low. I did not think a split level would be 3 stories, I thought main floor, few stairs up for one area, a few down for other area. It is ideal for two couples wanting their own space.

Family Christmas

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented this home for our extended family who were visiting for the holidays (we live next door). We picked up the key and my husband and I decided to make sure the house was ready for our family. In the process, I somehow lost my footing on the stairs coming down from the master bedroom. Ambulance ride to Santa Rosa, 2 nights in the hospital, surgery to fix my badly broken ankle, then home late on Christmas Day ( now months of rehab). I only pass this along as a warning to future renters regarding this particular staircase( there are many in this home). Also but less serious, my son and his wife reported that the master bedroom mattress was quite uncomfy (“old mattress feeling”). Seems like a cozy home otherwise but doubt I’ll ever enter the doors again😢

Deerfield was clean and neat and had a fabulous view but the heater was out and it was extremely cold. They did have a fire place but I have health problems that smoke aggravates.
