Lovely house on the mountain

We had an amazing time. The house is beautiful and has everything you need. We enjoyed hiking, swimming and playing games as we overlooked the beautiful scenery.

Spectacular view

Overall our experience was great. The house/property was spacious, clean, quiet and private. Our host supplied us with food and other supplies which was appreciated. There are hiking trails nearby that offer different options for hiking levels and have spectacular views. The property is best suited for adult families because of its mountainside location and historical furnishings.

Kamyar’s special property far exceeded our expectations! Staying at a Frank Lloyd Wright home in itself was beyond words, only made better by our host who was quick to answer questions and made it an easy check-in/out process. This beautiful home is exactly as pictured, meticulously clean, and well appointed which helped to make our vacation memorable. We felt very welcome and lucky to have found such a great place to stay and know we'll be back!

Amazing architectural getaway close to trails

A very deserved five stars all around. Property owner/manager is a class act who gets you settled in and oriented. A five minute walk from endless hiking trails and incredible terrain. Scottsdale five miles away — never rented a car as Uber was plentiful. The house is as billed — an architectural gem.

Wonderful Historic Experiences

Actually living in this Frank Lloyd Wright residence gave my family so many wonderful and indelible memories. We loved putting Wright's design and the home's craftsmanship into use as our "home base". The views of Phoenix from the living room and bedrooms are exceptional. The "next door" Phoenix Mountain Preserve has great trails. The nearby Desert Botanical Garden and Scottsdale arts and food scene make for running out of vacation days before running out of things to do and see.

Fabulous Home and Host!

The Lykes home is very unique and beautiful. The views are stunning. The Frank Lloyd Wright architecture is fabulous. We were able to relax in the home and by the pool. Great hiking trails right down the road. Kamyar is an amazing host. His communications are prompt and thorough. He met us and gave us a complete tour of the home. The house was wonderfully stocked with food and everything we needed for our stay. Can’t wait to come back again!

Stunning home and amazing host

We stayed for 4 nights in this beautiful home. The views from the house are breathtaking especially at night. Everywhere you turned in the house there was something lovely to look at, it was magical! Our host Kamyar was wonderful. He met us at the house, gave us a tour and had stocked the fridge with scrumptious goodies which we enjoyed and appreciated. The experience to stay in a Frank Lloyd Wright designed house was one we will never forget. Thank you, Kamyar for making this house available for people to enjoy and for being such a gracious host. We hope to return soon.

Simply Incredible!!!

If you have a passion to stay in unique properties that not only boasts an unbeatable view, appointed with most everything you will need, is clean, comfortable, historical etc, etc, and will be a travel story you can be most proud to share with your friends and family for years, Camelback East will not disappoint you in the least. Kamyar went over the top in welcoming us with fresh fruit, sweets, wine, drinks and all the things we seem to forget to pack. His hospitality and graciousness in sharing his home with my family will forever be a wonderful travel memory . Thank you Kamyar.

Wonderful/Historic Experience

My wife and I really enjoyed the opportunity to stay in this Frank Lloyd Wright designed home. The owners have tried to keep the historical uniqueness in place and have wonderfully succeeded. The little library with all of the FLW materials (including the copies of the original drawings) really helped cement the historical significance of the home. The views are remarkable and the location is awesome being steps away from hiking in the Phoenix Mountain Preserve, a short drive to the Canal Paths and a short drive to Scottsdale. If you are going, make sure to do both a guided tour and Sips and Sunset at Taliesin West to maximize the FLW experience. Finally, the host was wonderful, easy to communicate with, responsive and invested in our having a great experience. This was really a special stay for us. Cheers, Sean

This trip has ruined all other trips to Arizona for me. The house was perfect, the host was perfect, the property manager was perfect and the views were.......... breathtaking. Already hoping to return next year. The host ad property manager John communicated with us every step at the way to ensure everything went smoothly. The house was stocked with food, water, fruit and anything else you could possibly need. We were even greeted with a bottle of wine, a cheese platter and some delicious cookies. They truly thought of everything!

Absolutely amazing

Tamyar is an incredible host. Not only did he meet us to welcome us, the kitchen was stocked with fresh food, wine, and just about any cooking tool you can imagine. Roses in the living room and master bedroom and quick responses to a couple of texts when we had questions. The property itself is a landmark. The design has been modified a bit from FLW’s original plans, which only makes it more comfortable. Bathrooms and kitchen have been updated, while retaining the vibe that Wright intended. The views are outstanding at any time of day, we were with friends whom we haven’t seen in many, many years and the house offered both privacy and cozy gathering places for conversation. Please treat yourself to this experience. Memorable doesn’t begin to describe it!

Exceptional Stay

Not only do you get to experience the architectural design of a Frank Lloyd Wright residence, but its location is just steps away from the Phoenix Mountain Preserve, for all of your hiking pleasures. The views are incredible, the area is quite peaceful, the home is literally a work of art, and Kamyar is an amazing host! Every need was covered, and Kamyar was beyond helpful, insightful, and accommodating for our stay. We hope we get the chance to come back soon.

Scottsdale dream

Great location, gorgeous architecture and the pool was excellent . Kamyar was a gracious host and very accommodating. I would definitely stay here again And highly recommend it. Some of the decor is a little dated but the view, host and everything else was top notch. Drew
