First time Saint Pete Beach

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first time vacationing in St Pete beach. Sunrise resort is a great place to stay. Unit 312 is on the end of the building which to us was convenient to the stairs to get right out to e beach, pool, car, basically anything. The tennis/pickle ball court is well taken care of and the grounds well groomed. The manatee out by the dock was a pleasure to see and a pleasant surprise for our family. Especially seeing the manatee and her baby together. The unit offers a lot of amenities in the closet for guests and it was fun fishing off the dock with catch and release. The beach was not crowded any day and the we were fortunate to have great weather all week. We definitely would like to visit again. For those that don’t know there is a free shiuttle service called freebee and the “trolley” buses in St Petersburg are also free, wish we would have realized that sooner but live and learn. The unit was clean and well appointed. The master king size bed was comfortable but a little springy compared to ours at home so if one of us moved the other always felt it. The twin bed’s mattresses were thinner than expected and hard, almost like camp mattresses. The kids did sleep okay on them but would have preferred something more comfortable. Other than that the unit is a nice beach condo with a good view of the sunrise and sunset from the front and back. We enjoyed our stay and would return. As for cleaning the condo was clean but the couch could use a shampoo at the end of the season and the floors were sandy when we arrived (we realize it is the beach. lol). If the owners replace the twin beds we would certainly come back to this condo. Property management and rental company were a pleasure to work with and the property has a large community area to share pool and beach items for those who don’t drive down.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Four adults rented this unit for almost a month. We feel this unit was misrepresented as a 2 bedroom unit. The second room had no closet only a bureau. The hanging area in the bureau was short and small. Hanging clothes were crumpled on the bottom and it was not large enough for the adult clothes. There was no place for shoes, luggage, etc. The beds were small and more appropriate for youth. There were no extra linens, 1 dish towel and dish cloth, and 6 bath towels for 4 adults. Other condos we have rented always had extra linens, blankets and towels. The management did what they could for us but there was nothing they could do about the closet and beds. The unit would be okay for 2 adults but not for 4 adults. Wish management would have been upfront with that information. The unit could definitely use some updating. We enjoyed the outside area of Sunrise Resort and like the location.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been to Sunrise for ten years + , this is the worst experience. of any unit we have used. The unit was filthy. Floors were all dusty and gritty. There was dust and dirt everywhere. Under beds,on furniture. The shower stall had loose fitting doors that made it dangerous to use. The master bathtub was dirty and slippery. Both had mold on them. If you fly to your destination you do not have the ability to bring beach towels. Ours were ripped and thread bare. I spent 50+$ at Dollartree to outfit the kitchen for usable utensils as they were gross or lacking. Pots and pans were scratched and dirty . So we're frying pans and coffee maker. Nancy was a great help as always to help us with these kitchen issues. She is so helpful and we love her ability to welcome us each time. The toilet rocked in the master bath when we sat on it. The couch was filthy. The doors of the washer/dryer were inoperable. I had paint cans stored under the master bath. They had an odour for the entire time. We used the furnace a few nights and had black specks come all over from the heating system. I had to use allergy meds as it was so disgusting. Since the Next Home takeover, the main focus is strictly business not a welcoming feeling as before. Rates go up but services have decreased. I phoned about the dirty unit and was told basically too bad I was outside the time to address this. Things sure have changed. Not a relaxing time spent here at this time. Due to extreme fee hikes we are returning for fewer days. Higher prices for way less service is unfair. Very disappointed with this unit and Next Home process. The grounds were very well maintained. Steve is always friendly and so helpful. Nancy is worth her weight in gold as mentioned above. Too bad we didn't get our cleaning fee refunded as I was too late with my complaint. I am not rude when speaking to people at anytime and was taken aback by this rude response from your Next Home office. Tnank you!
