Beach Happy is a 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom Gulf-front condo for up to 7 guests in Sugar Dunes, a gated community in Seagrove Beach with deeded beach access. The single-level unit is on the third floor of an elevator building, and its oversized balcony overlooks the Gulf of Mexico.

The living area opens to a dining table that seats 6, with 4 more seats at the kitchen counter. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and a full-size refrigerator with an ice maker.

The primary suite has a king bed and a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, soaking tub and double vanity. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a private bathroom with a tub/shower combination. The third bedroom has a queen bed and a twin bed and uses the third full bathroom, which has a walk-in shower.

BEACH SERVICE

One beach setup with 2 chairs and 1 umbrella is included from March 1 through September 30. Additional chairs can be rented.

LOCATION

Sugar Dunes sits just off Scenic Highway 30A. You can bike to spots throughout Seagrove and Seaside, and shopping and dining are a short drive away.

We loved our stay and can’t wait to come back. Condo had everything you need (except a broom), kitchen was well stocked. But let’s talk about the view and private beach…AMAZING! The only hiccup we had was at check in, our code did not work, but that was quickly resolved. The boogie boards and floats were great to have. We are looking to book a whole week next year.

The condo was very nice. It had great beach access and the kitchen was pretty well stocked in terms of pots and pans (no flat spatula, but most other tools). Showers were stocked and towels were provided. We had enough dishwasher pods, laundry pods, and garbage bags. Biggest problem with this unit is the beds. They were so incredibly uncomfortable. I can’t remember the last time I slept on a bed that bad. Every bedroom had this problem. These mattresses are in desperate need of upgrading. I am 6 months pregnant and woke up with a horribly sore back every morning. My other half and mother who came on the trip with me had the same problem. Private beach access and chair setup was great and convenient, but I will not rent this unit again because of how uncomfortable the beds were. For what you pay, the beds should be much better.

Awesome condo with everything we needed and the view is breathtaking. Very clean and beautifully decorated. So easy to access the beach from our private porch. Our vacation was perfect! Thank you Beach Happy!

Communications are difficult to read

This review isn't about the condo but the information provided by the management company. I understand the attempt to make the description sound fun and inviting but the overly whimsical and wordy language in the app and emails made it difficult to understand the actual details of the property. Instead of straightforward information about features, policies, or amenities, I had to sift through paragraphs of "cute" phrasing and flowery metaphors, which honestly just made the key points hard to find. When people are trying to get information, clarity should come first. I'd recommend simplifying the language to prioritize clear, direct communication. Both times I spoke to an actual person, they were great and helpful though.

Relaxing Getaway

We've stayed at various units in the Sugar Dunes complex over the years. They are all generally very good, and Beach Happy was no exception. We especially like the beachfront location and being able to walk directly onto the beach. Since the beach area in front of Sugar Dunes is "private," the beach is less crowded. Access to local restaurants (like The Perfect Pig and Cafe Thirty-A) is quick and easy. It's a great, relaxing getaway location.

Loved it!

We love the out of the way location right on top of the beach. The decor is lovely and the view is priceless. My only suggestion is to include pillow cases with the extra pillows and to purchase some nonstick pots. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Location, but beware of beds

Like previous reviews mentioned, the beds are bad. We took a gamble assuming they were updated by now, but no. Great location, but there are better condos available in this complex that provide more!

"Beach Happy" For Sure!

Loved this place! Everything was provided as stated. So grateful for the chairs and umbrella included with the rental. We got one good day in of beach time because it was pretty chilly the rest of our stay. But, that did not keep us off the beach. Wish we had more time and hope we can make it back when it gets warmer.

Absolutely fabulous stay! Condo is well decorated, clean and had all the amenities we needed! And the ocean view is incredible, steps away from a perfect private beach! Loved every minute we were there. We will be back!

Very Nice unit but one real issue.

The unit was very nice with expansive views. Direct access to the beach was great and a great spot to see the sunset. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything you could possibly need as a vacationer with high end appliances. One day it did rain hard and there was a small leak above the sliding glass door. We called the management company and they sent out someone to take a look quickly. Fortunately the rain stopped shortly afterward. Overall, not really an issue for us. The reason why we didn't give the unit 5 stars is that the description and pictures showed a fireplace as an amenity. I selected this unit for our December trip thinking we would have a working fireplace. When we arrived, I opened the fireplace screen to see a sign that stated "Do not use". That was very disappointing and I would recommend that the owner/propterty manager remove the fireplace as an amenity and/or notify future renters that the fireplace is not available for use.

Beach Happy is Beach Perfection!

There is no substitute for being able to step right out of your door and onto the beach sand. Magnificent beach and Gulf views in any weather! We felt perfectly at home here. This spacious condo is the PERFECT location to get away from it all while being convenient to all there is to do along 30A!

Wonderful Stay!

The view was unbelievable! The unit is right on the beach. It's makes it easy to go inside to take a break from the beach or each lunch. The unit was very clean! Our only complaints are that some of the beds were a little uncomfortable, and you can't use sun protection tents on the beach. We will most likely book this place again next summer!!
