The condo and surrounding facilities were exactly as described in the VRBO post. And the property manager, Mercedes, went out of her way to make sure we had what we needed or wanted to make our holiday really awesome, including transportation to and from Cancun. We had a wonderful holiday and have already booked to come back again next year.

Best vacation!

Beautiful condo and setting! We loved walking to town for dinner and excursions. Very easy to find a good restaurant and there was never a wait. Puerto Morelos is close to everything and we did many day trips including Tulum, a cenote, Xplor, and the Croco Sun Zoo. My husband went on 2 dives and we snorkeled one day. The people could not be nicer. Taxis are very easy to get. We will definitely be back!!

Nice condo, great view, beautiful pool and hot tub. Super handy to have washer and dryer in the property. Kitchen is well equipped. Short walk to town. Property is equipped with elevator, easy to get luggage to second floor. Be advised major construction is ongoing just 20 feet from the entry door. Road in to condo is in rough condition take care walking and biking.

Our Family Trip

What a wonderful place Anna has. This was the perfect spot for our family vacation. I rented Anna's place to share with my parents, while my sister and her family rented the unit right above ours. We are already talking about coming back next year. This place is fabulous and Puerto Morelos was the perfect place for us to be. We don't like crazy tourist traps like Cancun or Playa, so this was the right spot for us to be....plenty of great options for restaurants and bars, but without the craziness of other spring break destinations. Mercedes is amazing and could not have been more helpful or kind. This location cannot be beat. I highly recommend it and can't wait to come back. Thank you Anna and Mercedes! GORGEOUS beach condo with floor to ceiling windows!

This was one of the best VRBO experiences I've had. Rarely does a rental actually live up to the beautiful pictures on the internet - this one exceeded our expectations! Three of us came here and rented the condo for a quiet week at the beach, and it was absolutely perfect. The infinity pool at the condo was lovely and quiet and felt like having a private pool and beachfront! We loved waking up to the sunrises from the floor-to-ceiling windows in both bedrooms. The only downside is the seaweed that had accumulated on the beach front, but it's been an unusually bad year for seaweed. The beaches in town were a ten or fifteen minute walk away and they are groomed to be seaweed-free. There were a number of "beach clubs" in town where you can pay for beach chairs and umbrellas and order drinks/food, so we also did some beach time in town to enjoy the groomed beaches. Nothing beat coming back to this lovely space after a day visiting ruins or Xel-ha; it is such a quiet oasis amidst the chaos. Love this place and hope to come back!

Paradise found!

We enjoyed staying here! This home has everything you need while on vacation. It's not too far from downtown Puerto Morelos, only a $2 cab ride. The best part for us was going to sleep at night to the sound of the ocean waves!

This two bedroom oceanfront condo is spacious with outstanding views. Has all the amenities...with a very nice pool and plenty of loungers. Property is well maintained and very secure.

Summer vacation

We spent two weeks at Palma Real 201 and enjoyed it very much. Well equiped, amazing views and close to everything. The beach in front of the condo is narrow but we enjoyed the tranquility and proximity. The kids liked the endless pool. We also went to the beach in town. We cooked at home most days, my husband buying fresh fish in town. Taxi or by foot or bike, no need for a car (unless you want to travel a lot in the area). Carlos was helpfull and Gustavo took excellent care of the grounds and beach. Dealing with Anna, the owner was very easy. Loved our stay in PM!

Absolutely amazing

Apartment was wonderful and so clean. Every night ate out in the town. Had fantastic meals every night...it was fine dining but so reasonably priced and the wine selections were magnificent... Also must mention that the mexican people were wonderful including Carlos our elusive caretaker who we never needed but always knew he was there if required. We will be returning in the future as it is our carribean paradise.

Tranquility

We returned last night from our stay in the condo and our first visit to Puerto Morelos. The condo was lovely and has fantastic views. The complex is very quiet, which is what we were looking for. The pool is clean and heated and the hot tub felt fabulous after a swim in the ocean. The beach is small but we basically felt like it was our own private beach. There are no vendors trying to sell you stuff and only a handful of people walking the beach. Carlos provides lots of helpful information and will do everything he can to make your stay a pleasure. He picked us up at the airport and made sure we understood we could call him anytime with questions or if we needed assistance. Gustavo keeps the complex and the beach in tiptop shape. There is 24/7 security and we always felt very safe. Taxis arrive within minutes and only cost a couple of dollars. The owner is very good to work with and we look forward to returning!

Life is Better in Flip Flops!

Extraordinary view from every angle and the perfect home base from which to explore the Riviera Maya. A quiet setting steps from the water, a short walk into the fishing village of Puerto Morelos, and easy access to the major highway. The description and pictures of the Palma Real condo are true and accurate; our family of four adults thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

Wonderful Holiday!

My family stayed in this beautiful condo for our annual winter holiday from March 9 - 18th. We travel to the Cancun area every year, but this is the first time staying in a condo. We were not disappointed! The condo was exactly as described, with amazing views and first class amenities! The pool, hot tub and beach were fantastic! The condo is ideally located, and is only a very short bike ride/cab ride into the beautiful town of Puerto Morelos! Anna (the condo owner) and Carlos (the condo manager) were both absolutely wonderful to deal with. The rental transaction was very smooth and Carlos was available to answer any questions we had! We would highly recommend this property to any family looking for a safe, fun and higher end location to spend their winter holiday at! We will definitely be back!

This condo is in a beautiful setting located on the beach. The master bedroom looked out over the ocean- honestly when I took a picture you could have sworn if was a picture or painting in the background not the actual caribbean view. The condo has all the amenities you could want, kitchen wise a few more seasonings or condiments i.e.. hot sauces would be helpful. The pool is lovely and the palapas and beach lounges were great. The grounds of the condo are immaculate as Gustavo and Darwin do an excellent job. The master shower is definitely for couples and has a huge picture window for enjoying the beautiful sea and palm trees. My husband and I enjoyed watching netflix in the evenings. Town was just a short pleasant 12 min walk and we enjoyed getting our activity in to eat, shop and sight see. Enjoyed many good restaurants in town- food was delicious. We especially liked our steak dinner at El Campanario. Aesthetically from the pictures on the internet the decor is that resembling Ikea however very nice and tasteful. We enjoyed getting to meet others staying at the condominium. It was very quiet especially in the evening which was wonderful- conducive to relaxation and sleep-listening to the waves at night beats any annoying loud stereo music or Karaoke bar. I thought the beach was great, no rocks or coral to traverse over to access the water and my husband and I enjoyed kayaking with boats provided. Good customer service was provided and the owner actually checked in with me via email to inquire about anything else I might need or want. The Harts have a wonderful place here and we would return. Best Family Vacation Ever (part one)

I had looked for so long to find a vacation rental that met all of our family needs and this one did! I have two teenage boys, adult daughter, and husband that went on this trip. My daughter and I had traveled before many times internationally, but my husband and boys had not. This was their first experience. Of course, they wanted to stay in a luxury resort that was all inclusive. I said no way to that! I wanted their first experience to be as authentic as possible. However, I also wanted it safe. This quaint little fishing village was perfect! The condo had plenty of room for the five of us, but to be quite honest we did not spend much time in it. With having teens, we needed to remain active, but also have a place to relax and get away from the busy noise of a city/resort area. Believe me when I say that this condo was perfect. At night we could hear the waves crashing into the shoreline and no windows were open! All of the guests/owners that were there were very respectful and quiet (exactly what I wanted!) I will say that we really wanted to play more on the beach while we were there but the seaweed (freak of nature that we heard happens very rarely) made it difficult. In actuality, this was a blessing. It forced us to explore the village and participate in many activities that we would never have a chance to do in Indiana. The only way this could have happened was because of Carlos Russ. He helps manage this condo for the Harts. If it weren't for Carlos I would not have felt so safe in doing everything we did. He contacted me BEFORE our trip three times via email and telephone to confirm flights, food arrangements, fishing trip, and much more. We had a delayed flight and he made sure to have our transportation wait for us. Once we arrived, he welcomed us at the security gate and showed us around. He explained the remote control for the television and air condition, stove and oven, washer and dryer, pool rules and amenities, and check-out/departing instructions. He wrote everything down for us from the taxi telephone number to specifics on what to bring on our excursions to local restaurants. He cut down on the time it would have taken us to look this up or for us to ask others. I do not think I have ever been to any resort/hotel/hostel etc. that I had so much guidance and help in completing so many things. We truly were able to enjoy every last minute of our vacation because he did so much of the preparation ahead of time for us

Best Family Vacation Ever (part two)

(continued) Carlos made this trip for us the ultimate experience. He even prepared a special dish for us on our first day called Jicama which we all loved! I wanted my children and husband to experience all of the culture they could in one week and Carlos made that work! And at any time he was available to meet necessities (such as a light bulb burnt out). We would have been so lost without him if he was not part of this condo. Here are the things we did: Chichen Itza (Maya Ruins) ATV/Zipline/Cenote swim/lunch in the jungle Snorkel trip in the protected national barrier reef (private trip) Deep sea fishing (private trip) and the ATV/Zipline/Cenote swim/lunch in the jungle.....yes a second time! We highly recommend it for the adventure seekers! Not one bit of information Carlos gave us was incorrect. Everything he told us from the food, excursions, to the local people was true. He even called my cell phone after every excursion to make sure we made it back and to confirm the transportation was on time. He made all of us feel so comfortable. The condo was very clean, the pool was very clean, the security was 24 hours....but didn't feel we needed it. The community is safe and we loved the people. This was the best first experience for my boys and husband I could have ever asked for. Thank you so much Josh and Ana Hart and Carlos Russ. We will be back!

View from master bedroom left little incentive to get out of bed-spectular

We recommend starting off your visit to Puerto Morelos by booking a walking tour with Ann for a local food shopping experience, to get some of the history of the pueblo, to get to know the locals and to help to support the economy of the other side of Puerto Morelos, la colonia. We loved Puerto Morelos and its gentle and smiling people. The taxi drivers were well aware of the published taxi fare rates and we had a lot of fun negotiating with them. We ate at many of the restaurants and found them all to be good. Visit the no name restauant on the beach a few properties north of Palma Real-fun and excellent fresh home made food.The views from the apt were awesome and the pool and patio and beach excellent. The apt was clean. It would have been helpful to have have found a few condiments (salt and pepper, etc.) We met several other renters who were helpful and friendly. Walking into the town square from the apt was a challenge to get through the port so after two attempts, we opted for a short and negotiated reasonable taxi fare ride. We had a very happy vacation.

Wonderfully Laid Back

Our stay in Puerto Morelos was just what we were looking for...beautiful, laid back and low-key! My two college aged kids and I had a wonderful time and met some great friends at the pool while staying at Palma Real. The pictures of the condo that were provided were spot on and the communication between David (owner), Carlos (agent) and myself was always very timely! When called upon, Carlos was there with initial groceries, local suggestions and a colorful personality! Transportation from/to the airport via Carlos was also so very helpful, as we didn't rent a car during our stay. Speaking of, we didn't need a car for our trips in to town, as the walk was enjoyable and very safe. Taxis are readily available and inexpensive if one is needed. The restaurant suggestions were all fantastic and even my somewhat picky kids really enjoyed the local food. The daily kayaking was great exercise and available at no charge to Palma Real guests! Overall, we had a great time. If you are wanting to get away from the hustle bustle of Cancun or Playa, PM is the place...and our condo at Palma Real was very nice - clean and modern! The views from all rooms were absolutely beautiful! The beach area was somewhat disappointing, but that had nothing to do with the condo. The infinity pool area of the complex was very nice and well kept. Thank you, David, for providing a wonderful place to kick back, relax and spend quality time with my kids!

Wonderful--You will not be disappointed!

We have been to Puerto Morelos a number of times but our lst time to be able to stay in this beautiful condo.We always use VRBO when booking our vacation. From the lst inquiry to David (the owner)to the check out with Carlos,(his agent in P.M.) everything went well. David responded promptly and worked with us anyway he could. The description was right on. The condo was very comfortable, had everything we needed. As shown by the pictures the views cannot be beat. The grounds and pool are well maintained We felt perfectly safe---we walked back and forth to the square, only a short distant. Of course there are many cabs, local vans, bikes (we had part of the time), all inexpensive. Carlos will assure you that he can help with anything you might need, arranging transportation, activities, restaurants, etc. All in all it was a wonderful time in a beautiful place. We were so happy to spend our 55th anniversary there.

Palma Real...really fantastic condo Unit 201!

Our condo was beautiful! All the amenities you could want. The condo is very modern and air conditioned with the most beautiful sea view ever!!! Thanks David for the use of your Mexican home. The staff Carlos, Antonio and Gustavo were friendly and very helpful. You cannot beat the quality and price at unit 201 at Palma Real. We will return for sure!

Great condo and facility

Palma Real was great . The condo was great and the facility was clean well kept care off and ON THE BEACH . Carlos looked after us and was there every day to check on us . Short safe walk to town for dinner at night or to go to the local fish market to pick up fresh from the water catch of the day. Many great little spots to dine out. long walks on the beach and chillen by the pool this place has it all ..

An amazing condo

This is a wonderfully appointed condo in a fab location! It is just perfect for 2 couples since there are 2 king beds and 2.5 bathrooms. The beds are very comfortable! The location couldnt be better if you want to be right on the water. It is like having your own private beach. The grounds are beautifully maintained including a gorgeous infinity pool. The condo is outfitted with all the tools you need to have a relaxing time, including a hammock! The condo was very clean with air conditioning and ceiling fans. We noticed that the owner really listened to the suggestions made by previous renters and complied with things such as adding a safe and allowing a second set of keys. If you do like to cook the whole time, bring along your own supply of spices, herbs and salt and pepper. We really enjoyed the quiet of the condo, all adults when we were there although I am sure that is not always the case. You have to walk to town to get groceries and you are not able to walk along the beach which would have been nice. The stores are pretty limited too, however it is easy to get all your breakfast and lunch needs and enjoy some fun restaurants for dinner. We found the condo book with everyone's suggestions very helpful. There are also quite a few reviews in Trip Advisor. We felt very safe walking at night, the condo is beside the federal pier. The locals are very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a snorkling trip with local, and inexpensive massages right on the beach. It is easy to rent a car in town if you require one for a single day or the entire time. You do get ripped off leaving the Cancun airport- about $70.00 for a 20 min cab drive- but to get back to the airport, 300 pesos! Use pesos wherever you can and you will save yourself some money! This would be a fab place for a girls getaway! There is an elevator in the building so the condo and pool area would be assessible however the town is not at all assessible. The roads are not paved in many areas and it would be very hard to get around.

We have been married for almost 16 years. We reside in Minnesota with our two children ages 11 and 13. Josh owns several businesses and I am a Speech Pathologist. We love to escape Minnesota, especially in the dead of winter. Our children have each been coming to Puerto Morelos since they were 2 months of age. We love the area and we hope to share our slice of heaven with you.

We have been coming to Puerto Morelos for over 20 years. We started out visiting Josh's parents every winter at their condo. After having our own children we decided that we wanted our own place to make memories (grandma is just a 1/4 mile down the beach)! It was the view from the master bedroom that sealed the deal for us!!

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We LOVE our condo! It is a short walk to the center of town. We are just south of the main port so we do not get the walking traffic on our beach. Thus, we feel like we are almost in our own little world at Palma Real condos! It has become our happy place and we love to share our space! Also, the amount of insanely great restaurants in town is unlike anywhere we have found in our travels.
