This place was clean, comfortable (for family of 5 with 3 adult boys), pool was great and perfectly located by the beach. Exactly what you’d want for a family beach stay. Property managers were communicative and accommodating- check in was a breeze.

Excellent house

Thank you for letting us use your beautiful home. We greatly enjoyed the ability to have plenty of room for our entire extended family group to stretch out and relax..but still be close and engage together throughout our stay.

60th birthday celebration

We stayed for 1 week. Loved property location and size. Property was run down with master suite shower shelf ripped off the wall, no light in shower and toilet paper holder ripped off wall and replaced with wobbly standing holder. Several lights had burnt out lightbulbs. Grilling area had no lights. Kitchen had very minimal cooking equipment and it was in bad condition. Also no stables like salt pepper and oil. We enjoyed the backyard pool and upper deck.

Great location, a few issues.

We stayed for two weeks. It was lovely walking to the beach each day and there were plenty of beach supplies. The pool was clean and fun. The house is big enough for everyone to have their own room and bathroom which was nice. Bathrooms are great, modern and large. However, we had a couple of issues. Firstly, there was a major bathroom leak when we arrived which meant we had workers there for 3 days and were unable to use one bathroom for two of those. Not a huge problem, but we would have expected some sort of compensation, however that was not offered. Secondly, (and maybe this is no big deal for Floridians, but us New Yorkers freak out), was the number of roaches. We ended up purchasing our own traps online to catch them. Like I say, this might just be a Florida thing, but we’ve been visiting for over a decade and never had so many. Overall, if it wasn’t for these two things, we’d totally stay here again.

Baseball tournament

This property was perfect for us to have three families stay together along with four young men for a baseball tournament in the Fort Myers area. The amenities such as the pool table and foosball table, kept the boys busy when not on the field the grill and kitchen were enough that we could prepare meals, and have a team dinner at the property while we were there? Great house with a great location and we enjoyed our stay

Better than expected

Everything was as advertised and more! This beautiful home gave us an amazing experience. The rooms provided us plenty of space, comfort, and privacy. With every amenity we needed and then some including beach amenities. A literal two minute walk to a private, clean, beautiful beach. We couldn’t have asked for more! Thank you!

Nice home for multiple families

Plenty of space for 6 adults and 3 children, we enjoyed staying here all week. If we ever come back to Fort Meyers we will definitely stay here again.

Fantastic home!

What an awesome place. Close to the beach, inground swimming pool, beautiful open spaces and lots of things to do in the game room. My 4 grandchildren had the best time. So did the 5 adults. It was just as perfect as it showed online!

Perfect beach house for a family vacation

We were very pleased with our stay. If we visit Ft. Myers again we will definitely book Southern Comfort again. All of the beds were very comfortable and rooms are very spacious. We did have to go out and buy a box fan for one of the bedrooms as it was hot and it did not have a fan. We were surprised that their were no ceiling fans in the house. Adding ceiling fans to great room and bedrooms would be a nice upgrade. The only complaint would be that the basement does not have AC. It was hard to enjoy playing the games in the heat but the kids did use it and didn't complain they would just jump in the pool to cool off. The property manager for the property was great she was in contact with us before we arrived and gave me her cell number if we needed anything while we were there. We were a little worried about the walk to the beach prior to us arriving but even in the July heat the walk was not bad at all. The beach wagon that was provided was super helpful and made the walk even easier. Each day we walked to the beach there was open spots at the beach access if you would want to drive to the beach. We opted to walk so we didn't get the car sandy. The first night we arrived we ordered take out from Francesco's Italian Restaurant, I highly recommend ordering from them they are super close to the house and it is in opposite direction from the traffic! We ordered alittle of everything and everyone loved what they order. We had pizza, Greek salad (that was made fresh to order), Spaghetti and meatballs, Italian cold cut, Italian sausage and pepper calzone and of course cannoli's. Check them out you will not disappointed.

Great home, great location, great fun!

There were 10 of us. Loved the layout of the house; plenty of room for everyone. Access to the beach was close; about 1/2 block. We loved that the owner provided beach towels, a beach wagon, beach chairs etc. Kitchen was well stocked with supplies but we didn't do much cooking. Pool was a very nice size for a private pool; it was a bonus for our kids to have easy access to the beach and a private pool. The only thing that surprised us was a lack of air conditioning in the lower level game room. There were severl mounted fans but was ultimately too hot to use the space. I would recommend the lack of air conditioning in that area be called out in the listing. All in all a great experience and I would certainly rent the space again.

Perfect getaway with friends.

The house was amazing. Nice size rooms. Kitchen was great. The upper balcony served as the meeting place for morning and night. The management group was super easy and helpful when reporting a malfunction with the pool which was quickly handled. The only negatives we saw: no bathroom on lower level so you didnt have to go from pool into the main level, bathroom doors needs hooks and no full length mirrors. But if your looking for a great spacious house near the beach and not too far from great places to shop and eat..this is your house!!

The layout of this property was great for our group of 10. The short walk to the ocean was easy. The pool was perfect for all especially the grandkids. Would definitely stay here again.

Southern Comfort was just that

For a group of two sets of parents, four teen boys and two teen girls, this property is perfect. It is just as advertised and was very clean when we arrived. Everything you need for the beach is in the garage and the walk to the beach is short and pleasant. It’s toward the private end of the island, so the beach is not crowded at all. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Indian Bayou house Ft Myers Beach FL

The house was beautiful. Updating needed to be done on fans that didn’t work, broken patio chair, broken butcher block knives, pool net broken. Called Leo of maintenance and he was awesome. Helped us right away. Umbrella also broken. Regular maintenance should be done weekly. Other than that we enjoyed the beautiful house and pool.

Beautiful home!

Everything we could have wanted for our stay. Mgmt company called the day of arrival to inform us the refrigerator went out and that they had brought in a temporary for us. It was cold and ready to go when we arrived. The pool was warm enough for out 7-month-old grandson. Plenty of towels and dishes . Definitely recommend this property! Will stay there again! We have been renting in the Fort Myers Beach area for over 20 years. This was by far the best house yet!!

Nice home.

Large living area opens to lanai with dining table. Warm pool with plenty of seating. Game room was fun for all. Kitchen had nice walk in pantry. 4 bathrooms was great although there is no bathroom downstairs. Dinky coffee marker. Limited kitchen supplies for cooking for 10. Pretty street with easy walk to beach.

Beach Vacay

House was very spacious and clean. In need of new beach towels and beds were not most comfortable. Kitchen needs more pots and pans for cooking and new coffee maker as the one there was very small and leaked water .

They thought of everything

The home was everything the advertising showed and more. Very spacious and clean and well appointed. One small complaint was no bathroom facility for downstairs game room and pool, had to climb stairs. Would recommend this home.
