Beach Home at Cotuit Bay
Good location, and the price was right, however, this rental is a little outdated and needs some TLC. a good paint job inside and out (some water damage in ceiling, one of the deck windows is pretty rotted), and quite a few things fixed (rust one some bathroom and sink fixtures). Some doors don't close (lower bathroom) at all. Listing says Keurig available, but none there. Says ice machine in frig, but that doesn't work, so no ice. Nice fireplace in main living area but not allowed to use (why even mention it?). Backyard is very messy, tree logs scattered in the back, lots of overgrown plants along the border. 2 bedrooms are bunk beds, so really only 1 main queen-sized bed in one bedroom. No TVs in the rooms (not that big a deal). Main bedroom has a really hard uncomfortable mattress. Seems to be wore out and leans towards the middle. Here are the good points, great for dogs. Has a large, fenced area where they can play and can't get out. Long wooded path to a nice sandy beach where you can sit on a chair and watch the bay, they had kayaks and a canoe (although, it's a long haul to the water), outside deck has nice table with chairs (careful with the deck railing, it very shabby and moves quite a bit). Good price. Sleeps 6 comfortably. New gas stove. Fairly stocked kitchen. Good A/C and Heat. It just needs some TLC and a little updating. Also, good wi-fi and internet access.
