*NEW* Sought after cabin on Randall's Point Walloon Lake!!! Friday to Friday

This cabin on Randall's Point features 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The sandy, shallow shoreline is one to desire along with the sunset and sunrise views. The cabin is secluded in the woods with no nearby neighbors, so privacy is a nonissue. The dock is only a short walk down the visible trail and the lawn offers plenty of room for entertainment with an outdoor fire pit along with a back patio with plenty of seating.

The first bedroom off of the kitchen has two twin beds, second bedroom has a bunk bed with twins, and the third bedroom off of the living room has two twin beds. The kitchen is a good size and is well stocked. Living room offers plenty of seating and entertainment. House does have a washer, dryer, cable TV and Wi-Fi (wi-fi is not the best and cellar reception is poor). This spot is perfect for anyone seeking a quit, relaxing vacation. *Rental is Friday to Friday

Cons (but not dealbreakers): Only 1 bathroom, at the end of a very rutted, bumpy driveway, decent number of bugs get in through loose screens, 3rd bedroom is in the middle of the cottage and has no windows.

We were very pleased to see the updates that took place since last year! New living room furniture, new kitchen ware and so pleased to have been provided with a key to the property! We were able to relax and enjoy the beautiful views of sunsets. Rustic, but lovely!

Pretty but beware

Family week. We swam and got swimmers itch. It happens but it was pretty miserable. The grill was unusable and after reported, was not replaced. The home is older, wasn't too clean-pretty buggy. Great place to stay to go to other places.

Robin’s, Red Bellied woodpeckers & li’l hummingbirds greet you most mornings. Families of ducks passing by enhance the lakes beauty as well. The surrounding woods are home to birds chirping in the freshly scrubbed air where trees thrive. The porch or lawn chairs are a comfortable place to take in the tranquility. Nights bring you the Milky Way, planets, shooting stars & occasional views of the space station. This cottage is very comfortable, offering nice amenities & pretty views.

Perfect for our needs

The cottage was deceptively spacious, with a large, well-appointed kitchen and a comfy living room. It was clean and the living room and front bedroom had beautiful views of the lake. The property was pretty private with glimpses of neighbors on either side. The three bedrooms were each a good size. One of the bedrooms is in the middle of the cottage with no windows or anything so my daughters chose to share a room with windows, but the third bedroom might be perfect for someone who doesn't like to be woken up by the sun. If you're picky about your pillows, I suggest bringing your own as the ones on the bed aren't particularly comfortable. The beds are somewhat hard too, but I've definitely slept on worse. The fresh lake air will likely help you sleep well at night too. The porch has plenty of seating for either relaxing with a book and some tea, or sitting at the table for a meal. The water in front of the cottage stays shallow fairly far out, so it's great for families with smaller children. The cottage faces the east, so by mid-afternoon, the water line is in the shade but the dock is very close and is in the sun until late in the afternoon. We didn't use the fire pit but we did use the gas grill twice and it worked great. I was very happy with this property.

Beautiful property

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the second time I have stayed at the "Mess Hall." It is part of a unique property with a huge amount of lakefront, on Randall Point. The Mess Hall is far enough away from the point itself that we were not bothered by the pontoon boats which like to congregate at the point. It was cold the first part of our stay but the cottage is equipped with plenty of space heaters. Kitchen also well stocked. Beds comfortable. Nice cozy feel, obviously the owners care for this property. Does not have WIFI, just RCN cable.

We had a great stay on Walloon Lake. Everything was taken care of as promised with our rental and we experienced zero issues. Clean and ready to go when we arrived. Megan and the Kidd/Leavy team were first class all the way. Thanks for a seamless rental.

The property is airy and bright, nicely furnished, clean and comfortable, with a very well stocked kitchen. I had only 2 people staying here maximum at one time so the single bathroom was not an issue.

Arrival

You emphasized not arriving before 4:00pm. Arrived at 5:30pm and cleaning gal still there until 6:00, leaving load in dryer upon leaving. Air Conditioner in Master bedroom only works minimally for that room only. Disappointing.
