The Nest is a private entranced guesthouse that is ideally located 2/3-1 mile walking distance to Oak Bluffs town, harbor, beaches and ferries (summer ferry service is in Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven, winter service is Vineyard Haven ONLY). We offer one bedroom with a queen bed and a queen sized sofa bed in the living space with a private bathroom. This newly remodeled space has a full service kitchen, air conditioning, heat, cable TV and WiFi all for your comfort and convenience. The Nest is waiting for nesters!

The house was very comfortable, clean and cozy. The hosts were available and helpful with any questions that we had. The kitchen was very well stocked with pots and pans and dishes. We did not use the fireplace. I definitely would recommend this house and would go there again.

Most accommodating, personable, and admirable hosts I've ever have been a hostee to, including with VRBO's main competitor. Only reason I gave it 4-stars was because of a few minor issues, which the hosts resolved amicably & quickly.

Claudette & Seamus were wonderful hosts - Claudette sending messages with tips and checking in throughout our stay and Seamus peeking his head out on occasion from across the yard to ensure all was well - which it absolutely was: the Nest was the ideal one-level spot with easy access for my 85 yo father with his walker. It is a spotless and cozy place with comfortable sleeping arrangements and great kitchen for being so small. We will definitely stay here again when visiting family in Oak Bluffs - they were only 2 1/2 minutes away from the Nest - another perk!

Perfect getaway

We had a perfect stay. Seamus & Claudette were welcoming and gracious hosts. The space was very clean, comfortable, and perfect for our mini island getaway. We can’t wait to stay here again!

Super cute and comfy for 4 or under

It’s a tiny house but we were super comfy. We loved the kitchen with all the essentials as well as the outdoor showers and grill w patio area. If we return, we would book again!

Excellent stay

My daughter and I stayed there for a weekend and were extremely happy with the rental! The owners were very accommodating, helped us get the pull out bed ready, and everything that we needed was provided. Everything looks and feels brand new, and overall was just a great experience, and we greatly appreciated it!

Great stay at the nest!

My 5 year old daughter and I had an excellent time visiting martha's vineyard and staying at the nest! The cottage is well appointed with everything you'd need and a comfortable bed! The location is good - about a 10-15 minute walk to downtown oak bluffs and an easy 10 minute drive to vineyard haven and several beaches. We look forward to going back in the summer!

Small but wonderful

We knew in advance that the property was small due to the accuracy of the description in the listing. Knowing however, is different from experiencing! Once we re-oriented our minds to the smaller space, which was clean and well-appointed with modern decor and appliances, we quickly adjusted. Our 10-day stay was very pleasant and the few questions that arose were quickly addressed by the ultra-responsive hosts. We will definitely consider this property for future stays on the Vineyard.

The Nest is the Best

We can’t say enough about our stay at this perfect little guest house. Great communication throughout the booking, and great hospitality by James and Claudette. The cottage was clean, much larger than the pics show, and very comfy. Not bringing a car concerned us a bit, but we were pleasantly surprised with a convenience store that had everything just down the road. Our bike ride in town was less than a mile, and the bus system on the island was amazing making stops everywhere to explore, fish; and dine. I would highly recommend the Nest to couples and small families alike. We look forward to returning! Thank you!

You will LOVE The Nest!

My boyfriend and I loved everything about our stay; truly a home away from home! Seamus and Claudette were both absolutely amazing! They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed during our stay. The nest is perfect for couples and small families (max 4). The bed was soooo comfy as well and the couch has a pullout so that was even better. The location was great! The nest is located in Oak Bluffs but away from the traffic and city area. It was about a 15 minute walk from Circuit St, so that was fine with us. The free shuttle was very convenient to get around the island and it was just a short 5 minute walk to the nearest bus stop at the fire station. The patio/outside seating area was a great addition to enjoy the weather and lively birds. No complaints whatsoever. You absolutely won’t regret staying here during your visit to Martha’s Vineyard. Many thanks Claudette and Seamus We will be back soon!

Cozy, well equipped, comfortable cottage

My husband and I spent a wonderful and relaxing 4 nights at The Nest. The location and cottage were perfect for our annual spring trip.The time we spent at The Nest was comfortable and relaxing. It had everything we needed: a stocked kitchen, comfy furniture, and good wifi. It was refreshing to have linens, towels, and other essentials provided. Being early spring, we had to use the heat, which kept the cottage toasty. There's a lovely patio area with seating and a gas grill, which we appreciated. The cottage was nicely decorated, comfortable, cozy, and very clean.We took the ferry to Chappaquiddick and spent an afternoon exploring a little. We enjoyed visiting Mytoi Japanese Garden even though spring had not quite sprung yet. It was still very peaceful and beautiful in the off-season. We also drove to a beach and hiked a trail with an active osprey nest. We visited several of the Vineyard's lighthouses, Aquinnah Cliffs Overlook, South Beach in Katama, and the mandatory Menemsha Beach for a lovely sunset. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner at the LookOut Tavern in Oak Bluffs.Claudette and Seamus were very welcoming and communicated well. I got an excellent recommendation for a restaurant open on the edge of the seasons, which we really enjoyed. I'm sure if we had needed anything else during our stay, we would have been helped quickly and courteously. It was the perfect getaway for us, just what we needed. We would not hesitate to rent The Nest again in the future.

Better than the photos let on!

Clean, cute, and in a perfect location. We weren’t sure this little cottage would be big enough for us and our two kids (ages 7 and 4), since it looks kinda small in the photos, but it was actually just the right size! The bed was very comfortable (memory foam) and we slept great. Our hosts were very responsive. We would book again in a heartbeat!

Delightful well-equipped cottage in peaceful neighborhood

Terrific one-bedroom cottage with all the amenities you might need and then some (including an outdoor shower and patio/sitting area)! Hosts were accommodating of our early arrival and couldn’t have been kinder. We’ll definitely return!

Ideal in Every Way

My family of 4 absolutely loved our stay at The Nest. The thoughtfulness and attention to detail were evident in every part of this lovely cottage. It was immaculately clean, very comfortable and had everything we could need. Days ended then began inside with comfortable beds and Keurig coffee; the outdoor shower and patio area extended the overall comfort. A bike rack was conveniently placed outback where we could lock up our rented bikes. (All Star Bicycle Rentals are a great place to work with: solid bikes, friendly team, and they deliver). The A/C worked exceptionally well when we wanted it, but most nights were cool with a good breeze moving through the place. Finally, the hosts were truly lovely. Claudette and Seamus made us feel at home and were very responsive. We're planning on returning soon.

Cozy stay in MV

Clean, cozy, great location. Very close to the main part of Oak Bluffs, but just far enough away to be out of the touristy hustle and bustle. Hosts were very accommodating and helpful. Can't wait to come back.

Spectacular rental

This property and the hosts are amazing! The attention to detail inside of the rental is unmatched to any rental I've ever stayed at. The outside shower after a long beach day is heavenly. Location was perfect as well. 10/10!!
