We really enjoyed our stay. Since it was on the second floor it was great to leave the windows open and turn the AC off just for some breezy fresh air. We have a boat, but we did not bring it. It would be a lot of fun and the dock is a good size. The location is fantastic because we could go to Key West anytime we wanted to, but at the same time we could also make our own meals with the full kitchen. These days food is so expensive that it was great to be able to just go to the very nearby grocery store buy what we like and then have meals ready. The decor is really cute. We found the bed to be extremely comfortable. In fact I felt like I was sleeping on my own bed at home. The neighbors were very quiet and there was a lot of parking available. Also, the neighborhood seem to be extremely safe. There were large homes on the canal and people cared for their properties.The host/hostess was a person that has great communication skills. If we went back to Marathon, I could see staying there again, but possibly with our boat. Thats a really wonderful amenity. We teased the host/hostess about a peeping Tom because there was an iguana in the tree near our bedroom. It became a funny joke when we found out that she fed it carrots he was a cute little iguana, and I would stick my tongue out at him, and he would stick his tongue out at me, so it was pretty funny. I think we took more pictures of the iguana than we did the keys.
