Fishbowl Upper is a beautifully renovated 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 2nd floor apartment located in the serene Mid-Island area of Fort Myers Beach. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood and just a short walk between two beach access points, this peaceful retreat offers the perfect blend of relaxation and convenience. A nearby trolley stop provides easy access to the lively downtown area, home to the iconic Times Square, local restaurants, shops, and vibrant entertainment.

Inside, the apartment features a modern, fully equipped kitchen, a dining area that seats eight, and a breakfast bar with three stools. The cozy living room offers a comfortable sectional sofa bed, love seat, two armchairs, and a TV. Each bedroom also includes a TV, for a total of four throughout the unit. The bathroom has been stylishly upgraded, and the entire apartment has been freshly painted and tiled. For your convenience, a hairdryer and seven ceiling fans are provided.

Guests share a heated pool with the downstairs unit, but enjoy private amenities including a grill, washer and dryer. We also provide hotel-quality linens—professionally laundered for every stay—as well as beach essentials like towels, chairs, an umbrella, and a beach cart. Lastly, a spacious lanai offers a peaceful place to unwind.

Nearby, there are many water activities including fishing charters and snorkeling to parasailing and jet ski rentals. Plus, the close cities of Fort Myers, Bonita Springs, and Naples offer a wealth of shopping, dining, and sightseeing opportunities, and the Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers is just a short drive away making for easy access to the island.

Great place for every age!

It was a very fun and easy place to plant ourselves for a fun vacation on Ft Myers Beach.Among so many great aspects of the rental, the grandchildren loved the pool. The parents enjoyed some quiet time hiding away on the porch. And grandma loved the coffee bar and comfortable bed. Walking to the beach was easy and had a great sand bar that the kids loved exploring. There was construction nearby, but the little boys LOVED watching all the digging and dumping. When the grill wouldn't work, they arrived same day (Sunday) with a new one.Great communication and a great place for a vacation!

Very nice get away

A couple issues upon check in, everything was handled even on a Sunday. Very clean home. Short walk to beach, several sand bars during low tide. Very good shelling. Just an enjoyable time.

Spring Break 2024

We loved our stay at the FishBowl Upper! It had everything our family of 5 needed: pool, plenty of sleeping space, living space and the large screened in porch. It was also right across from the beach which allowed us to hit either the pool or the beach whenever we wanted. Communication with the property manager was easy and I always received a quick response. I did rate cleanliness 4 instead of 5 due to a few issues upon checkin. It didn't mar our stay at all but was worth noting and I did report to the property manager who did quickly respond. If we make it back to FMB, we will look to stay at the FishBowl if it's available.

Nice place!

Large place, we had 9 people (4 adults and 5 kids) and all fit comfortably. Plenty of parking space. Short walk to the beach, beach wagon provided. There was an extra fridge downstairs which was helpful for all our food and drinks. The pool is much smaller than it appears online but the kids enjoyed it. The power button on the dryer looks like it's on its last leg but I got it to work after fiddling with it for a while. We had a fuse issue while using a blow dyer in the bathroom and we locked ourselves out of the storage room downstairs but both times management was quick to respond. Only complaint is there's no vacuum cleaner! We swept up sand and crumbs with a broom but a vacuum would be nice for the area rugs.

Excellent vacation rental!

Very clean, spacious place. The staff was responsive to any questions or requests we had! We had a group of 6 people staying in the fishbowl upper and we had plenty of room! Lots of games for kids and family to play! TV's had cable and Netflix access. Has Wi-Fi as well. Super close walk to beach access. Quiet neighborhood. Storage area under the screened in front porch has lots of beach accessories like coolers, wagon, beach chairs/umbrellas and sand toys for the kids! Pool area was clean and the pool was heated! Nice to come home from the beach all day and swim in the saltwater pool. 2 grills in the pool area for cooking your own meals if you don't want to take the drive down to the pier. It truly is located mid island, but it's about 3 miles away from the pier. So we rented a car to make the commute downtown easier, although traffic was always a 20 min drive down to the major shopping stores and the lani Kai and other restaurants. You can also rent bikes, scooters or golf carts to make the commute easier as well! This is located very close to Publix grocery store! We would absolutely rent this location again if we decide to come back to fort myers beach!

Wonderful location.

The Fishbowl offers wonderful space, location, pool and all the items you would want in a vacation rental! You are right across the street from beach access 15. At sunset local neighbors play their conch shells to end your beach day. It was such a fun event. The Fishbowl has 2 beds on one floor then the primary suite a floor up. It was a wonderful rental. Thank you!

Very pleased!

Traveled with my mom and 2 children for a quick getaway. The kids were beyond thrilled with the bunk beds, we had plenty of space, loved breakfast on the screened in balcony, and the pool was perfect for quick dips before or after spending the day at the beach. Everything we needed for the beach was provided, although the beach wagon is in serious need of some new wheels. Only other complaint, which is very minor, is the lack of a decent frying pan/pot. The ones provided are terrible. Overall, I would definitely stay here again! Cute spot super close to the beach!

Wonderful stay

We loved the location- less than a 5 minute walk to a nice beach, 15 minutes to Publix, 5 minutes to the trolley stop. Didn’t feel like we needed to rent a van for the whole trip! We loved having the cart, beach chairs, and umbrella ready fir us to use. The house was lovely and beds were very comfortable. I loved having our own laundry as well. The Lanai was great for lazy afternoon reading and the kids loved eating breakfast out there. We plan to be back next year! Thank you

Wonderful Stay

Clean and beautiful rental property. Walking distance to beach. Kids enjoyed the bunk room. Pool area was like a beach oasis. Linda was great at answering questions we had and even stocked our kitchen with food before we got there. Would definitely recommend the fishbowl upper for your next family vacation. Only thing I would recommend is renting a car, bikes or golf cart to get around island as trolley is not reliable. 😊

So nice ! and close to the beach

Great location! 1 block to beach access . Rented some bikes and rode into town... about 3 Miles away which had sidewalk vendors Music and places to eat. Stopped at our favorite home made ice cream place.. Royal Scoop! House has everything you need except iron and hair dryer. Loved the pool !

loved this house

We scheduled a long weekend to celebrate my husband's birthday with our grown children. This was the perfect spot! A quick walk to get to the beach and the private pool was a family favorite. It had all the amenities we needed and the property managers were very quick to any of our requests.

Our family had booked somewhere else that was falsely advertised. We were able to book this rental the day of in order to move locations. The owner was extremely flexible and accommodating. The property was fantastic. The pool was beautiful and well maintained. We had a great experience. The house was clean. We would definitely rent here again.

Perfect Place to Stay!

This space was perfect for our family of 6. Get incredible clean, had necessary items to cook at home. The screen porch was my favorite spot to sit and relax. The heated pool was great for the kids and grill was super clean and felt new. The upstairs bedroom was perfect for me and my husband. The bed was super comfortable and felt like a private get away. This place was better than we expected. Thank you for the great stay! We will definitely be back.
