Kololia Living is a beautiful and private 3 bedroom, 2 bath home set on 1/3 of an acre. It's neighborhood setting places it close to Kona's beaches, and a nearby walking trail. The grounds are studded with beautiful, lush plants, including many different fruit trees! The home flows around a large, sparkling swimming pool, and there is a dedicated BBQ area as well.

Kololia Living offers a great kitchen, with live edge wood counters adorning the central island and countertops. The living room has an open, airy feel because of the floor to ceiling windows framing the pool outside. The dining and seating area flow into another space, more casual with large chairs, a large TV, and a desk/office area. The master bedroom is a suite, with an elegantly tiled bathroom and soaking tub, along with a walk-in closet. Independent AC cools each bedroom.

Exceptional outdoor living space presents views to the nearby ocean, with excellent views of the famous Kona sunsets. Popular restaurants and bars are all a short drive away.

Because of this home's location, there is a limit of 3 cars at all times, and all vehicles must be parked on the driveway and not in the street. Also, no guests other than the registered guests visit the property. And please note we have a 5-night minimum stay. We do have exterior security cameras and quiet hours start at 9 pm & end at 8 am.

Amazing stay in paradise!

Simply put - the photos do not do this house justice. We stayed here to start the new year, and it blew our socks off. Care is taken with each part of the house, and we could not have imagined a more perfect location for our family. We can’t wait to stay here again in the future!

Perfect family rental

Clean and had everything we needed. Management company was easy to reach and they ensured we had a great stay. Plenty of toiletries, supplies, towels, pool toys, and beach supplies. Would 100% stay here again.

Magical!

We loved the house! It fit our family perfectly. We were surprised and delighted that the pool is heated. Great outdoor spaces. The owners have a great aesthetic. We loved it!

Amazing Home

First time with renting VBRO and this property is truly amazing. Outstanding view of ocean, close to restaurants and beaches, highways and stores. Pool was a plus. Would stay here again in a hot minute. Don’t pass this up if you are looking in the Kona area. BI is big and you are going to have to drive everywhere but to come back to this is truly a treat. Hate to leave. Mahalo. ♥️

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The views were absolutely beautiful, and the grounds themselves are gorgeous. The pool was very well maintained and made for relaxing afternoons. The kitchen was impressively well-stocked, and we appreciated the many accessories provided for the beach, along with plenty of towels. The AC units in the bedrooms were a lifesaver during the heat of the day.A couple of things to note: the kitchen heated up quickly when in use, and paper goods provided weren’t enough to last the full week (something we’ve found other rentals typically supply in greater quantity).We did encounter some maintenance and pest-related concerns. Around the pool area there were quite a few cockroaches, and inside we saw ants in the kitchen even with food sealed. We also came across a centipede in the bathroom. Some of the doors and screens could use repair — the guest bedroom’s double doors had a gap that let in bugs and heat, the guest bathroom window had no screen, and the screen doors in general were not functioning. We also noticed some water damage on the bedroom door leading to the master bath.Overall, it’s a lovely property with a lot of potential and many great features. With some attention to pest control, door/screen repairs, and stocking supplies more generously, it would be an exceptional place to stay.

Beautiful Home

We loved this house! The layout was great! It really had everything we needed. It was well stocked and even had plenty of pool floaties if you’re hanging by pool and beach chairs, beach mats and coolers to take to the beach! There is only AC units in the 3 bedrooms, so the rest of house is pretty toasty and unfortunately did not have much of a breeze coming through. We came with our adult sons and their girlfriends. We would definitely stay here again! Aloha!

Beautiful home in perfect location.

Our family of five could not have been happier with this home. The photos really don't do it justice - the interior, the pool, the expansive yard, and the grilling area just go on and on! The location allows for easy exploring on the north and south ends of the island, and is also close to town for grocery shopping and restaurants. We explored during the day but always tried to get back in time to enjoy the pool and grill for at least a couple of hours in the evenings. As other reviews point out, the inside of the house is pretty toasty during the day but the air conditioning in the bedrooms made sleeping very comfortable (and the rooms cooled down quickly). The beach and pool gear available in the garage was a great addition. We loved this home and would absolutely stay here again!

Pool Paradise

My friend and I have been visiting Hawaii for the past 15 years. The Kololio house met and exceeded our expectations. The house layout is quirky and fun and had more than enough space for my friend and I. The pool and courtyard are awesome with amazing views. However, you will not be able to pull yourself out of the incredible pool. We have had pools in the past that have been shockingly COLD! That is not the case with the Kololio house. The water is warm. Some afternoons it was like walking into a warm tub. AWESOME! It makes for an amazing morning swim. The Kololio home is one we hope to visit again SOON.

Short Title

The property location was great and the views were wonderful. Paper products and kitchen supplies were adequate. Overall it was a great place to stay. The listing indicated that the property was air conditioned. However, only the bedrooms had portable AC units. The rest of the house was not air conditioned. Because I was gone fishing all day, I closed the house each morning and when I returned in the late afternoon, the house was quite warm. I suggest that some plastic ice cube trays be provided because unclogging the refrigerator ice maker seemed like too much bother.

Near Everything, Bigger Than It Looks- Great Views

Communication with the property manager was prompt and thorough. No hassle with extra cleaning when you leave which is great. They knew it was my birthday and made the effort to leave a handwritten note and a gift from a local artist. So amazingly thoughtful. The views from the lush backyard of the ocean are fantastic, especially at sunset. We grilled, swam and watched the sun go down to relax in the evening. The house itself is much bigger than you see in the pictures and the neighborhood is quite and clean. it has everything we needed for a group of 5 including card games, books, beach gear with coolers. AC units in each room but still a little warm. We used fans to pull the cool air from outside into the common spaces and it worked great. The units in the room made it perfectly comfortable for sleeping. Would absolutely stay here again or book another unit from the property manager.

Ocean sunset views, great house.

Our family of 4 adults enjoyed our stay here. The house is spacious and the grounds are lush, pool wonderful for lounging, and the ocean view and sunsets fantastic! Quiet neighborhood. The bedrooms are air conditioned with portable units that worked fine, but the rest of house is warm. We opened lots of windows and doors and there are two fans, and only about two days was it really warm in there. Kitchen well equipped, paper towels, TP, trash bags, dish and dishwasher soap provided. There is a gas grill. I loved the outside shower, accessible from the main bathroom. You have to drive to stores and restaurants but it is not far. We are scuba divers and there is plenty of room to dry out your gear at the end of your stay. Kona Now management was responsive and very prompt with any concerns/requests we had. I gave it 4 stars for cleanliness because part of the main bathroom was not clean when we arrived. They sent a cleaner to clean. Would definitely stay here again.

A true paradise

The whole experience was excellent. I have rented many properties when traveling but this one exceeded my expectations. From customer service to a well equipped house our adventure in Kona was awesome

Amazing Time

This property is in a great location, is clean and private. The layout suited our family well. The kitchen is well stocked. The property management was a breeze to work with and even allowed us to extend our stay one night when our flight was canceled. We will be back!

Great outdoor living

Outdoor BBQ and pool area is the highlight of the house. Beautiful views and great location to downtown Kona. Some issues- 1-large gaps in the window screens caused alot of critters to come through. 2-listing says AC but isn't specific.. this house doesn't have central AC, only portable bedrooms ACs and one room was broken for the 1st 4 days of our 8 day trip until someone came and replaced it. 3-Not enough TP or garbage bags were supplied we had to go buy more during our stay. *overall a great house but the issues listed were very frustrating to deal with on a vacation.
