There is a 40 lb weight limit for dogs. Restricted breeds include Pit Bulls, Staffordshire Terriers, German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Presa Canarios, Chow, Mastiffs, Doberman Pinschers, Akita, Wolf hybrids, Cane Corso, Great Danes, Alaskan Malamutes, Boxers, Huskies, American Bulldogs, Mini Bullies, and Belgian Malinois. This includes mixes of these breeds as well.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us.

Understand the pet policy!

Read the fine print (sent after we made our booking) about this property's pet policy! We were turned away on arrival, because our dog was not the correct breed and at 8pm on a Sunday night had to scramble to find another property to accommodate us!

We stayed in #218 in July 2025 for several days. We loved the view from the room, the pool (salt water) was clean and didn’t feel over crowded, The fact that beach access for the public is right next to the property was nice because we had a big wagon for the beach that we could use the public access ramp to the beach, not the stairs of the Hotel property. A/C in the rooms felt great. The beds were little too soft, and my spouse and I felt like we were sinking in towards each other, but still slept pretty good. We were able to bring our dog who is a tiny golden doodle (21 lbs), and supposedly this resort has a restriction on dogs over 40 lbs and certain breeds, but we saw pitbulls, and a huge 90 lb Doberman the first day, so I don't know if they truly follow their dog policy. The negative things we didn’t like were the condensation drip/spray from A/C units above on our small balcony. Thought it was rain sprinkles at first until we realized what it was. Parking is very limited so if you go out and aren’t back at the hotel by 8-9 PM, you will most likely have to park across the street in an open and poorly lit parking lot. Overall for the price and location to everything, we enjoyed our stay and would probably book this hotel again.

I appreciate the fact that Ocean Park Resort allows small dogs. The check in process was quick and easy and the desk staff was very friendly. Parking was never an issue. However, the room was a bit crowded for our family of 4 and could use a bit of sprucing up. The living area had a Murphy bed and sofa bed but both could not be utilized at the same time (spacing issue). If traveling with pets, it should be noted there is no grass but rather a small area of artificial turf.

Loved the fact that we could bring our dogs , although they should have a better area that we can take them to use the bathroom, room could use some remodeling, the pull out bed was terrible basically just springs… the AC didn’t work right and was very noisy…. Very friendly staff though

Friendly, clean, and convenient!

The staff here is terrific! They keep the place clean and the location is hard to beat. I noticed that they also offer game days/nights for bingo and corn hole, and sometimes water aerobics. It is also a VERY pet friendly place with a groomer on the first floor of the building. There is a small workout room as well as a couple washers/dryers which was convenient. There is a lot of outside and inside pool space, which is well maintained. The only complaint I have is that the rooms may need a little upgrading... aside from the beds, the furniture was a little old/worn and the rooms could use a new coat of paint, plus some other small improvements. But I would stay here again!

Enjoyable and clean

We had a great stay, our only complaint was: we were beside the office and the door needs to have a soft-close installed. In the morning you are not going to get to sleep late. The door slamming in and out of the office means get up and some of us enjoy sleeping in on vacation. Otherwise, we enjoyed it all and it was VERY clean for a pet friendly hotel.

Would definitely stay here again.

The staff was wonderful! Friendly, helpful and always smiling faces! Happy, wagging tails were everywhere! Loved this hotel! Furniture was dirty, especially sofa. Otherwise the suite was great. Plenty of room and updated kitchen and bath were nice!

Condo infested with roaches in kitchen and bathroom. Bedroom had no curtains and outside hallway light shone into bedroom making it difficult to sleep. “Beachfront” view was partially obstructed by a wall. We booked for 2 nights, left the next morning because couldn’t find immediate vacancy elsewhere that night. Our 40 anniversary was completely ruined! Appealing to get full refund back. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Shame on you Expedia, and your 3rd partners VRBO and Vacasa. MB

We love how friendly the staff is... Especially Alexis at the front desk she's extremely helpful! It's clean, comfortable and pet friendly! We love taking our pups to the beach and having them pampered at the spa inside the building! Highly recommend

Disappointed

I made the best of the situation but I was truly disappointed. The facility seemed to cater more to animals than to people. Specifically my hallway reeked of pet urine. The living room had a sofa. It was missing the lounge chair. What really surprised me was every time I needed clean towels , I had to count out the used towels (at the front desk) in order to get new towels.

Great location and ample space

Great location right on the beach. Ample space for 6 people, though the murphy bed was not the most comfortable to sleep on. Will recommend to friends, especially those traveling with dogs.
