Cute & quaint best describes this waterfront cottage located in Bluebird Point on Lake Gaston. Tastefully furnished with open kitchen & living area with wood floors and a fireplace opening onto a lakeside sun room/sleeping porch overlooking the waterfront with a single boathouse and deep water. Nice view of Lee's Creek with direct access to the main lake. The home has 2 bedrooms (3 with sunroom converting to additional bedroom with twin bunks and an additional queen) with 1 and 1/2 baths and a small basement area that opens onto the lakeside. The lot is level with an easy walk to the dock & boathouse. (lift and motor boat not for guest use) Summit Landing boating access ramp area is nearby. Ideally located in one of the best fishing coves at Lake Gaston. Conveniently located near Littleton & Roanoke Rapids. Can utilize boathouse for docking and 2 kayaks for renters use. A great get-away for families and girls/guys weekends
There is a ring doorbell and ring camera for boat dock to ensure safety.

Family Vacation

We had a wonderful stay for our family vacation. The property was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. It had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our time together. Kerry was very responsive and easy to communicate with from start to finish. This was our second time at this house and we would absolutely stay here again!

Relaxing Cottage Getaway

Working in the area from our of town. Great quiet stay with just enough amenities. We had very relaxing evenings after long work days. Would definitely stay here again if given the chance.

Cute little summer cottage. We rented a boat,so it was very convenient to tie up using the owner’s dock. For runners and walkers, although Myrick Estates Rd is 55mph,there is little traffic and a wideshoulder, so once you get past that small stretch, it’s a nice walk or run through Myrick Estates and Mistipines neighborhood which are also on the lake. We enjoyed fishing on the dock too. Lots of time spent outdoors which was exactly what we were looking for. We cooked all of our meals at home and appreciated having all of the dishes we needed for food preparation and leftovers. Thanks for a great stay.

Nice and quiet vacation

House was clean and the lake view was beautiful. The best of all was the fire pit right next to the lake. Neighbours were friendly. Communication with the owner was easy and Ms. Hughes was very responsive to ensure our stay was comfortable.

This place was amazing

We had a blast staying at this property. It was just as described. The owners were very easy to communicate with and made sure everything was good while we stayed there. It was great being able to tie up our boat as well as plug it in to make sure it was ready for when we went out on the lake . I definitely recommend this property

Lake Gaston getaway

Property was just as advertised. Property manager provided all necessary details to make our stay enjoyable. House was neat and clean, and had appropriate conveniences, e.g., internet, appliances. We had a great time on the lake over the holiday break.

Beautiful Location, Super Quiet, perfect cozy accommodations for two families on a budget

Everything was perfect for our first friends-giving. Only suggestions for the host are to stock toiletries a little better, we ran out of TP the first day and there wasn’t any hand soap in one of the bathrooms or the kitchen but a quick trip to the “Piggy Wiggley” as our son said remedied this and we left some for the next guests. Thank you to the Hughes family for blessing us with their little slice of paradise this Thanksgiving. Hopi g to return for a warmer visit to enjoy the lake’s offerings

Nice place, keurig needs fixing. Had trouble finding electric outlets in the kitchen. But we enjoyed our stay. Peaceful & quiet. Enjoyed sitting by the lake

Weekend Getaway

My family and I had a great weekend. Even though it was winter, we still enjoyed canoeing and fishing. The grill and fire pit were perfect. My kids loved the swing and fishing off the dock. We cooked all meals at the house with no issues. Great weekend! Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your piece of Lake Gaston.

Peaceful cove

We had a lovely time relaxing at this cute cabin. Fishing, canoeing, and nights sitting around the bonfire filled our time. We met the neighbor and he is a wonderful man. We really enjoyed speaking with him. The owner, Kerry, Is super responsive to any questions I had about places to eat and such. We went into town and found everyone in this quaint little town super pleasant and approachable. We highly recommend this sweet "happy" house on the lake.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lake Gaston!!!! We will be coming back :)

Though the property was small, we really enjoyed on time at Lake Gaston. The location, right on the lake, was the best feature - my family spent tons of time fishing and catching tons of fish! It was very quiet and peaceful. We had a small issue with the HVAC system at the house, but the owner immediately stepped in to make sure that things were up and running again quickly. The amenities at the house were great. A few small suggestions - a large collander and a medium size frying pan. We would definitely stay again.

Last minute trip for funeral service

A Navy buddy passed away so instead of getting 6 separate hotel rooms we elected to stay at this property. It was a great weekend get together being able to share our memories and grief. The location couldn't have been better. We used the grill and fire pit. A couple of us also got to get in a 4 mile run on Saturday morning before the funeral service. If arriving after dark, then take extra time to park at the proper address. The neighbor was understanding and we moved cars to the right spots.

Awesome location

We had loads of fun and enjoyed every bit of this property. The staging is awesome in the house. We loved the restaurant setup with beds in glass porch where you can enjoy the lake from your bed. Kayaking and canoeing provided at the property were the greatest parts of enjoyment .The backyard faces lake still has lots of privacy and very good lake views. The person in contact was super friendly answering all of our questions . It’s worth staying here at this price 👍👍🙏

Great Weekend Spot!

This place was great for a weekend by the lake! We took advantage of the fire pit by the water and used the dock when we rented a pontoon for the day. Kerry was very accommodating and let us check in a bit earlier than the listing indicated which was also very helpful. Awesome spot.
