While the house, with its large drive and parking area, sits relatively close to the road, you totally forget that once you are in the door. The entire focus of the house is the beach. Views and access are excellent and the beach was in great shape and virtually deserted (early Oct). The house was spotless and had everything I required. The kitchen was well equipped, living room spacious and comfortable, and the mattress on the bed was, like the entire house, "just right". My goal for this trip was to just kick back and I did a lot of walking the beach and spending time on one or the other of the decks. Both provide great views. I particularly enjoyed watching the bald eagle that flew over just about every afternoon. I didn't make much use of the game room but it is well equipped to keep multiple people occupied. There are also multiple tvs for those who need to view something other than the lake.Casa Playa is one of my favorite places to stay on the stretch of Huron below Oscoda and I hope to get the chance to stay again in the future.

My sister, my niece and my daughter and self, stayed at Casa Playa. The house was very clean. The location to "town" is about 5 minutes away, which was awesome. There were two restaurants and a large grocery store and there's a party store specializing in various beers and liquors that was amazing. Location, huge plus. We had to contact the owner about an internet issue, but the owner was responsive and everything was handled first thing in the morning. The third room with the bunk beds is definitely targeted to kids. My 30-something girls slept in there but both said the bunks are designed for adults. They did have pull-out cots, etc., but I think this owner would be better off putting twin beds throughout all the rooms for better sleeping accommodations. That would be my only suggestion; otherwise, everything was great.

This was our 2nd time staying at Casa Playa, and it was just as lovely as the first time! We loved sitting on the beautiful deck and enjoying the sounds of Lake Huron. The property was clean and well furnished. The owner communicated quickly to my questions. I would definitely recommend a stay here!

Our stay at Casa Playa was wonderful! The house fit our family very well, was very clean and had plenty of things to do (both for adults and kids). Definitely would recommend for a fun family vacation spot!

Our stay at Casa Playa was nothing short of amazing! We booked a last minute trip to celebrate my daughter's 15th birthday with 3 of her friends and my youngest daughter. The check process was easy, the house was clean with every amenity you would need, the beach is gorgeous along with the location, and the atmosphere was cozy. I highly recommend Casa Playa.

Cozy with a beautiful view!

We had a fantastic weekend! your home was so cozy & welcoming! It was exactly what we needed for our girls weekend. There is nothing better than a beach fire and the sound of waves! The full moon to light the lake was an added bonus! The house was very clean and had everything that we needed. The hosts were great to deal with and responded quickly to emails. We would absolutely recommend this home! It was a 10/10!

Beautiful Anniversary Getaway

Casa Playa is the perfect place to get away and enjoy the beautiful fall weather on Lake Huron. The house is cozy and well equipped with everything to prepare meals. Our young adult kids joined us for part of the trip. The garage with ping pong table, video game, and air hockey was a lot of fun too. But the best part is the view!! Great communication from the host as well. We look forward to coming back!

A hidden gem we can’t wait to return to!

After enjoying a wonderful stay Sunday-Saturday, my family of four cannot wait to return! This property is even better than the pictures show! A true piece of paradise, each day we were there, I found myself in awe of the beautiful surroundings! The accommodations were perfect for our family. We were blessed with beautiful weather, during our stay, and enjoyed every minute we could in the sun & sand. The small amount of time we spent indoors, my girls (ages 8&9) had so many fun things to keep them busy- from card games, to arcade games and ping pong & air hockey. The kitchen was stocked with every appliance, utensil, and dish you could possible need! We were so happy spending time at the house that we ordered groceries and just cooked each meal there, and never ended up leaving the house. The house was so sweetly decorated. From the adorable breakfast nook, to the comfy furniture and beach decor- I was never short of reasons to be thankful for the opportunity to stay in paradise. The hosts were so kind, and always accommodating, whenever I reached out! Saving the best for last: each morning, my husband and I woke to a beautiful sunrise in (a very comfy) bed, and said goodnight to a beautiful moon over the rippling water, from the same spot! The pictures I have on my camera roll, from mornings with coffee on the deck, afternoon fun in the sun, to evenings with a glass wine, give the surroundings little justice, but will help tide us over until we are able to return!

Great family house on the beach

This very nicely clean furnished house on the beach was great for our multi family vacation. Second year here! Beautiful place that we loved! We also enjoyed the nice table and chairs on the deck for meals, coffee, reading. We -adults and kids- played the games in the garage. The kids some days spent all day in the sand and water.

Great place

I had my children and grandchildren there for a week. We had a great time! Modern, air conditioned, and right on the beach. We had no issues to report, unlike many other places we've stayed. We really liked how the 3 upstairs bedrooms all led out to a common deck, and all faced the water for awesome sunrise viewing

Fabulous Week!

What a great week! This house has everything you will need. The hosts are so nice and always available to online chat if you need them. Fireworks up and down the beach so no need for the city ones if you prefer staying home. Did a couple puzzles and played many games. Game room to so fun for the kids! You won’t be sorry if you stay here.

Little Piece of Paradise

Everything about our stay was perfect. My partner, 2 sons, 14 and 11, enjoyed every minute at Casa Play. The private beach area, both decks, and the garage game room was exactly what we needed. Everything was clean and more stocked than any place weve been to. We will definitely be booking in the future.

A perfect getaway!

This is our second time staying at this property and we love it every time! My parents, my 4 year old, and I have plenty of space and love the spectacular views of Lake Huron from our bedrooms. My son LOVES the "fish room" and all the time he can spend on the beach. The hosts are very friendly and easy to communicate with when needed. When we're not at the house, we like to explore downtown Tawas. If you have kids, check out Dinosaur Gardens about 35 miles away! We look forward to our next stay already!

Perfect location for a relaxing getaway

This place was great for relaxing vacation on Lake Huron. The house is in a great location and you can’t beat the views of Lake Huron. The beds are very comfortable and the house is very nice. Kitchen has everything you need, including a much appreciated Keurig! The hosts are very friendly. Great VRBO experience! Thank you!

My name is Ivonne. Our family fell in love with Northern Michigan (Oscoda/Tawas area) and Lake Huron. The lake views and sugar sand beaches in the Gold Coast shoreline remind me of the beaches and views in Puerto Rico (where I was originally born). Definitely one of Michigan's hidden gems! We love it so much that we now have two properties in the area and hope to build a small family of repeat visitors who love it just as much as we do.
